Armchair Walks: A stroll through Chichester and Cathedral

- Chichester is the county town of West Sussex as well as a cathedral city in it's own right. This is a point of View walk or Slow TV as it is called. There is no commentary, narration or voice over. The concept is to provide the viewer a gentle carefree stroll through an English Town, City, British Countryside or UK landscape from the comfort of their armchair. Many people are unable to get out in the country, other suffer from dementia or anxiety issues. These walks hope to distress and relax.

The amount of effort and great numbers of people involved in building these places is incredible. The Mud ,The Muck, and now the grass grows green. Fantastic video once again.

About 7 years ago I went to midnight evensong on Christmas eve in Chichester cathedral. It is a beautiful building. I hope you were wearing your hat Richard :-)

Many thanks for your video Richard. I grew up in the Chichester area and went to High school there. I now live in Australia, with little chance of visiting my family or Chichester in the near future, so it's lovely to be able to 'virtually' wander through the city (particularly in Summer! We usually visit family there for Christmas)

Chichester is a beautiful beautiful market town. Seemed so odd not having you pointing out what was what & all the main attractions! This is the 1st vid of yours I've where you never ever said a word!!!
This was an experiment - an experience video. I did about 6 of them a couple of years ago.
Great video. Spent many summers there and love the tranquility of the area, pity not to see Bishop's Gardens where I spent many hours reading.

Nice walk around Richard, I used to work in South st, loved the vibe this city has with the great selection of shops and historic buildings like the cathedral, and better without the commentary too.

It isn't a city it is a mere village
I went to school there in the 60's & 70's l remember the cinema and the cathedral establishment banning 'The life of Brian' the hypocrisy was ridiculous at the time.
