Such a beautiful record, and legacy, beautiful video, it's a relief that Dolores was to speak and write like this about herself and her life when she was then to pass just a few years later. You covered the essence of this song so well.

When they hit the scene, NPR did an excellent and lengthy expose of the band, glowing about basically every song on the album...and rightfully so. They were like the Beatles. Every song became a hit, and quite logically. Great review. RIP Delores. Long live their music! And families!

@InsignificantNick Hi Nick, you do amazing reviews, you've a few recently that have real social commentary, and layers social fabric within the lyrics, this one has a tonne of that, even if you only get to enjoy for yourself 'The Dubliners - In The Rare Old Times'

The Cranberries are the only band I really love, Dolores will always remain in our hearts. But the most important fact about them is they were so honest during their career, you can feel every emotion on her voice.
The Cranberries are one of the most especial bands

Hey, man. I'm almost speachless. How beautiful the way you think and have empathy with the message and Dolores songwritting. Dolores is one of these lyricists that can delivery the message with the words reaching the right heart of the interpretation. Brian Eno wrote to Bono in 1995 about this song, saying that she was so delicate chosing my father likes me instead the cliché of my father loves me. Brian noticed the fact she was just one of 9 kids in that house and she understand that perfectly.
Animal Instinct is a great example of how she reached maturity after her first baby, it means a lot.
I would like to suggest I Still Do live, it's incredible her vocals so young and her high notes: m.th-cam.com/video/VCgWVmYbV3M/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUWQ3JhbmJlcnJpZXMgaSBzdGlsbCBkbw%3D%3D

I've never done a NGHFB reaction or have listened to them even as an Oasis fan. I should do one!
