Hearing all the salt and hate about Fox is laughable at this point xD 1. For fck's sakes, people think a minute before you judge. As a start, the infiltration droids probably had high and unquestionable permission to enter. Palpatine could have arrange that easily. And if not for the show I wonder how many of us would have know that the droids were CIS kamikaze boiiis. Fox did his job and let them trough cuz there were no point to stop them, and before any one says, yes droids do make mistakes. Just remember C-3PO in episode IV when he forgot to turn his communicator back on, which almost cost the life of our hero. Sure he could have been suspicious about it but then again, thing yourself in his place. 2. As far as I know, the jail that held Ashoka was under his command, and he didn't know that general Skywalker is in the facility, so... given the facts that Fox spotted Tano padawan with her weapons on the run, and later finding dead clone troopers bodies on the same path where Ashoka run off, I would say that he had every right to give the shoot to kill order. Yet again, think. In our world if a prisoner break out, take hostage, or arm itself, then the wardens will open fire without hesitation. "Its them or us" situation. And again, we only knew that Ahsoka is innocent because of the show, Fox on the other hand did not had such luxury and did his job. 3. The part that triggers the most people. Fox shot Five. I get it, Five was one of the most loved clone in the series, and most of the fan base hate Fox because he killed him. Case closed. Like I said before, think. Literally before that scene, we can see that Fox reports the news to Palpatine. Its not hard to imagine that Palpatine directly order Fox to shot Five instead of capturing him. Orrr even used to force on the commander. But I know, its just 'speculation' that didn't happened in front of our eyes so it won't satisfy most of the viewers. Five was a rogue clone on the run at this point, who had 'attacked' the galactic republic's leader. Aka, he was considered dangerous, and dangers must be eliminated. For the last time in this comment, think. Five was considered dangerous, and had hostages and weapons. Fox had to act, saving the hostages, making sure that his mans life is as safe as it can be, and lastly dealing with the hostile target. With my speculation earlier we could say that Fox got order to kill Five, its not confirmed but not hard to believe. But even if we get rid of that idea, we return to the hot zone situation where there is very little time. Fox rushed at the target, he was at the front as a C.O. should be, and even gave Five more than three chances to surrender. The hostile, mentally unstable target chose to pull for a gun and aimed at the squad ahead of him. Fox chose to take the shot before Five would... I know, all the Five lovers gonna hate me but I can live with that. I've got no problem with Five and I like Fox, yes. Even thou the, they maid him the most hated TCW character ever. And im pretty sure that they killed him in the Vader comic only cuz that calmed the part of the fan base who wanted blood. Thats why I thought about writing all this. Think people. Every coin got two sides, you have to look on both to get the full picture. But anyways, thats all. Looking forward for response. Have a nice day all, may the force be with you.
505Legion 5min Netflix and Chill in Tosche station... and I already got attacked by my star wars bro in the comment section -_- Guess that comment of mine is one more reason for you to hate me .-.
Fox reacted appropriately with the Fievs situation, he most likely concluded that Fives was deranged and holding two hostages. Fives disobeyed foxes orders and reached for the Blaster, fox fearing that he could harm him or his men shot.
Fox wasn't necessarily a bad commander. The droids passing through security was a failure with multiple checkpoints, not necessarily attributed to Fox alone and him believing Ashoka was an enemy of the Republic with the evidence before him is logical of someone trying to stop a fugitive of doing further harm. With Fives, it was the same thing, he was witnessed trying to kill the Chancellor. Orders were given to kill, not to apprehend, and Fives had been a repeat escapee ever since Kamino. Unfortunately with certain lines, once you cross one in particular, the chances of shooting to kill go up drastically. Fox shouldn't be hated for showing the brutal realities of protection a state. Also... he is the head of the Courscant guard. It is literally a knife's edge he walks with trying to define what will ultimately protect the Republic with every situation. He probably had problems physiologically after the droid attack and also with Fives, but this is the reality of command. Sometimes, you don't always make the right decision, and more importantly, in war especially, be prepared with the reality that you may loose. Fox, Rex, Cody, Thire, Wolffee.... all the commanders knew this to a T.
Um yeah Rex never would have made the droids mistake. Proof? Rookies, or litererally any episode in which Rex commands them except the farmer one, rex is really smart and other times can figure stuff out.
@@goldenstatewarriors9418 I disagree. Any clone could’ve made that mistake, even Rex. Checking the legitimacy of forged documents isn’t in their pay grade.
I always thought he was just checking on his men and happened to catch the droids it would explain why he didn't know the cleaning scedule and get suspitious
Well coruscant guards were the most loyal clone trooper force. And while the sad death of fives palpatine turned on the coruscant guards inhibitor chips on to execute him.And he told him to put his gun down once and told him don’t do it solider and captain rex said “no five don’t”
Yesterday my friend told me his fav clone is Fox. So I asked him : Uh did u mean Thorn? Then he said : NO FOX! THE GUY WHO KILLED THE STUPID TRAITOR FIVE. Me : (Preparing to punch) Friend : (Keep Bragging why Fox is better than everyone.) Me : (Punch his face)
I remember this winter when i was going to school by train while reading darth vader n10(?) and i recall seeing Fox's neck crack that was one hell of a day
Interesting Head canon: Rex would never shoot to kill Fives, so his pistols were set to stun when Fives picked em up. Fives, while afraid and cornered, would never have been able to shoot his brothers, so he would have switched to stun or not have shot at all.
I like it, it makes sense on all the actions that fox did well not game punished for it. He could be also Emperor Palpatine's favorite, this also could have played an important role to.
AT least Vader would indirectly get revenge for Fives when, during the hunt for Jocasta Nu, Fox did not give Vader’s description to the other Shock Troopers who promptly fired on the Sith Lord, nearly killing him. Displeased by the failure Vader relieves Fox of his command of the Imperial Shock Trooper Corps, permanently...
Did anyone ever wonder how he got the name Fox. Foxes are known to be sly, sneaky, subtle, and organized. Sounds like particular clone to me. Look at season 1 episode hidden enemies the traitor was literally named Slick. That means he got his name through some form of deceit.
Fox is one of my favorite clone commanders after of course Commander thorn , Captain Fordo, and Commander Gaunch when I was a kid I had his action figure and phase 1 costume
I think the Corascant Guard/Shock Troopers had their weapons to stun except Fox since they all removed their helmets and circled arouns Anakin, Rex and Fives. Fox didn't. So I think Fox had his DC-17 pistol on fire instead of on stun.
Dutspice I dont really consider comics cannon at this point anyways since disney pissed away the entire EU its only a matter of time before they make all of the current comics legends as well so they can rewright and sell more
Commander Fox was a good soldier in my opinion. I do believe he was part of The Chancellors dark plan. He and the other Shock Trooper clones, most likely knew everything about order 66, the chips. And the new order, but was highly confidential and was ordered not to say a word until that time. We see Fox again in the Vader comics, around the Jedi Temple. Before he meets his fatal end.
I've been saying fox was palpatines puppet since the 5's arc came out. The biggest part of it to me is that fox wasn't mourning over 5's dead body like the others. I think that alone is weird enough clone behavior to warrant some thought about fox and his character. I still love fox, he did nothing wrong!
I really like the theory that fox was in on palpatine's plan to a certain extent, but specifically for fives' death i don't think he was super out of line. He gave him a chance to surrender and this was a situation that called for immediate action as he was holding THE general skywalker hostage, and had allegedly attempted to assassinate the chancellor, so prep time wasn't something he had a lot of
Commander Fox is one of my favorite clones, you can’t say he is stupid because one he was the leader of the guard that protected the Coruscant guard. Yes, he did kill fives but look at it like this, Fives was accused of trying to kill the Chancellor, and when Fox was running towards Fives, he ordered him to stand down, but Fives didn’t. Instead, he picked up Rex’s gun and pointed it right at Fox. This isn’t about moral but purely self defense and you never know it could’ve been Fives that killed Fox. Fox was loyal to the Republic, and he would die for it as you can see he ran right towards a gun point at his chest by a clone that was thought of as insane and crazy. It does not make him stupid, it shows that he does his duty. Fox has one of the sickest looking armour too. Also I understand why you would hate him because of the whole Ashoka deal, but remember that it clearly looked like she was force choking him. Leading fox to believe that it was her that did it and I don’t know about you but I would think that too. Yea he did tell his men to “shoot to kill” after she escaped but there were 3 clones with light saber marks on them. One, her light sabers were missing and two, she was on the run so Fox would obviously think that it was Ashoka who killed them. And you guys say he is stupid for letting the droids in the energy chamber but again, he was doing his job. The CIS gave the droids the right paper so Fox had to let them through, just because they were droids doesn’t mean they were all bad. And you can see before they did help with cleaning around so Fox probably took notice of that and knew they were actual cleaning droids. My statement here is done.
Fox was less than pleased with his placement and less than enthusiastic about his duties so he did it by the letter with less than soul into it. Enough to explain his failures. He just didn't go that extra mile.
I could see where this theory is plausible but I remember in the Darth Vader Comics when Fox did not tell his men not to fire on Vader out of pure stupidity and neglectfulness. Of course that lead to his utter demise but I still believe he is just a careless clone trooper not having a very challenging position leading to many poor mistakes.
I'd believe it. Personally I don't want to hate Fox because he's a clone, but he's gotta be in on it. I'd actually hate him less if he was, because that'd make him smart, and that makes him an intriguing character as well. Also note how when Palpatine reveals his plan to Fives, there are shock troopers present, who don't react.
In my fanfic Palpatine was collecting brains even from dead Jedi because the darkside told him to prepare for it, with the Jedi killed in order 66 it gave him this Because the rebellion would get mechs
Hey Geetsly’s great vid pal, can I make request? The battle of Ryloth as a whole including key battles, republic legions which took part etc? That would be cool.
Heres how the food chain works Commander Fox Gets Eaten by Commander Wolf, Captain Rex Eats Commander Wolf can catpain Rex Just Hides.... After the meteor Hit
Personally, I never hated fox, especially with the planted clone bodies. It may have been a jump to conclusions for the 501st, but Fox was operating under the assumption that Ahsoka was a rogue Jedi who had killed before, a situation that wasn’t unheard off with Krell. If anything, Anakin and Rex were guilty of letting personal bias blind their judgment, and they were lucky that their opinion of Ashoka was warranted. I think the main feature of this theory was the bombing of coruscant. I agree that either Fox was in on the plot, or he played as a pawn. If anyone was around Palpatine enough to figure out that he was a sith, it would have been his personal captain of security, but at the same time, I believe Palpatine would’ve gotten rid of such a threat quickly unless he trusted him absolutely.
Fox isn't a bad man he just did bad things.Palpatine created the coruscant guard to be more loyal to him than regular clone units which makes them easier to manipulate. Palpatine starting the clone wars is what led barris offee to the dark side of the force, and the chaos that ensued, which in turn led to ahsoka being framed. Those infiltrator droids could still have found the generator room even if fox hadn't told where to go.All they would have to do is search for it or hack into the system somehow and locate it. As for fives he probably wouldn't have picked up rex's gun if nala se hadn't drugged him, and if palpatine hadn't framed him in the first place. Also fox did give him a chance to stand down, but fives under the influence of the drugs made a poor choice.
Definitely not the first to say it, but there is further evidence to this theory in the last time we ever see this character. It comes as no surprise that Fox of all commanders was assigned as the commander of the unit that would continue hunting down jedi, and was tasked with Lord Vader specifically.
Wasn't fox one of the clones bred on Coruscant in the secret cloning facilitates there? If this is the case Palpatine would of been over seeing more than anything and would of made sure they are really loyal to him Like Dot the i and cross the T sort of style. and if palpatine had direct feed to his helmet cam and speaker he could issue orders to him and he'd do them. Maybe like Order 44 was Kill a clone brother stuff like that.
Honestly I'm never hated Fox but i always thought of him as Palpatine own commander. You know how most Jedi has a clone commander buddy? Well why not Palpatine and Fox.
Fives decided to reach for a gun, that’s his fault. Maybe the droids were new. He was trying to protect his troops when Ashoka was escaping. Don’t be so harsh, just because of a few mistakes. He did a lot of good.

I actually always believed this in one way or another. I always assumed he was following the orders of Palpatie's hidden agenda.
Fox was my favorite clone. I hope he is redeemed in a future series. I love his armor so much and I feel he is probably misunderstood.

I assumed that it was just something similar with Krell and Rex, where a non clone needed a loyal clone to control the rest.

Of course that lead to his utter demise but I still believe he is just a careless clone trooper not having a very challenging position leading to many poor mistakes.
I wish Fox was one of those clones who were experimented on by the empire and slowly and painfully died.
Love fox, and his phase 2 armor.
In my fanfic
Palpatine was collecting brains even from dead Jedi because the darkside told him to prepare for it, with the Jedi killed in order 66 it gave him this
Because the rebellion would get mechs
Hey Geetsly’s great vid pal, can I make request? The battle of Ryloth as a whole including key battles, republic legions which took part etc? That would be cool.
I didn't mind Fox, until I saw him kill Fives!
Did stun blasters even work in that scenario? I feel like 5s' armor would've just blocked them
He knew about order 66 and that's why he shot Fives.
Those sweeper droids would have fooled any fucking clone
Heres how the food chain works Commander Fox Gets Eaten by Commander Wolf, Captain Rex Eats Commander Wolf can catpain Rex Just Hides.... After the meteor Hit
Its also possible that the creators just wanted to blame it on the same person over and over
Personally, I never hated fox, especially with the planted clone bodies.
Do a what if video where fives survives.
This just makes too much sense
When he killed fives that when I REALLY STARTED TO HATE HIM!!!!!!!
What if he was given a chip that Made him Obediant to Palpatine's Orders, bacisally the Inhibitor Chip for Order 66 but without the Jedi Killing?
That theory makes a lot of sense. I think it's very possible.
Maybe they though fives was too dangerous and stun shots are not always effective. Better safe than sorry
Can you do a video on what the rest of the Coruscant Guard thought of Fox?
Honestly I'm never hated Fox but i always thought of him as Palpatine own commander. You know how most Jedi has a clone commander buddy? Well why not Palpatine and Fox.
I wish Fox was assigned to Pong Krell
I never hated fox but this theory makes a lot of sense I think fox might have known more about the Sith plan or was just really really stupid or both
I was fox for Halloween once.
Fox is my favourite clone he is badass and a savage he should have been the best clone ever
Fox is one of my favorite characters
I actually really like the shock troopers there the elite troopers with the 501st legion even thow Fox as a asshole I really like Thire and Thorn.
It would be great if it turned out to be true but idk if Fox is big enough a character to get these accolades
Fox was sheevs little pawn
How did clone troopers miss a oversized slug going at 2 mph
Fox is my fuckin favorite Clone. Fight me.
Fox got manipulated like anakin.
Finally some justice to Fox
Geetsly please make a video if obi wan kenobi left the jedi order to be with duchies satine.
People are gonna hate me for this but fox did order fives to stand down. He just had to point the gun at fox.
Fives decided to reach for a gun, that’s his fault. Maybe the droids were new. He was trying to protect his troops when Ashoka was escaping. Don’t be so harsh, just because of a few mistakes. He did a lot of good.
At least his armour looks cool
can you do a video explaining what happened to boss nass and how boss leyoni came to rule
Don’t hate fox, hate palpatine, he was the one who made fox do this.
I love fox, he's my favourite clone
You know , I was 10 when I watched Fives die , I hated for after that
Oh, give fox a break.
