I like that riders have to manage the tires during a long race, but this is too much. They should change the rule to measure the pressure at the start of the race and that's it. Then put a seal so they cannot change the pressure while on the grid.
Agreed its a bad rule all around. Now we have to see drivers not race but manage tire "pressure" to remain in the allowed range and hence have 2 drivers having to back off and let people pass because of tire pressure. Anyway, Bagnaia had no one in front of him the whole race and he just went faster and faster. Probably has the best bike out there but come on, this race was masterclass by Pecco!

Thats why marc want a better same bike like gp24 like other because he doesn't need to push the bike all at their limit to fight infront..when u have the best bike..your feelings and ride will be differ than had to concern and push everything to fight

IMO the tire pressure rule is the dumbest thing ever. Teams and riders managed for years without it, they should be allowed to run what works for the bike and obviously have rider safety in mind as no one wants to see a rider injured for the obvious reason, but also the championship standings etc. I'm not a Marquez fan, but still felt it was pathetic that he got a 16 second penalty for an infringement so small it could have been within the error of the devices reading the pressures. They say it's for safety, but a slightly over pressure tire gives riders problems that can lead to a bad fall, if teams have to over compensate to err on the side of caution, then that's a problem too. They just need to leave the professional in the pit box to do their thing. Do we really want a world championship decided on someone's tire pressure dropping because they weren't closely following a rider, or because ambient conditions are not quite what was predicted.

To those who don't understand: Tyre pressure too low is considered a break of the rules as it is introducing another variable that can be exploited. Low tyre pressure means, higher grip albeit more tyre wear. Lower tyre pressure is considered favouralbe towards the later laps. When tyre pressure is too low for whatever cause (probably due to a poor strategy/setup), that is either because air volume or tyre temperature is too low. In order to increase the tyre pressure, you can increase the temperature of the tyres, - for that what you can do is ride behind another rider because then you will not get fresh air flowing over the tyres because of the slipstream. So that causes the tyre to start overheating. This will up the tyre pressure. That is why Marquez let Digia pass. But it didn't help enough. So in the end he got a penalty anyways. Usually riders do not want to be behind a slipstream due to the overheating of the front tyre which is BAD, but in this case, the tyre pressure was not over the lower limit allowed by the rules, so it's a "pick your poison" situation.

the techinician failed on tyre pressure in the box and was too low during the race so Marc managed to keep it up but in the last lap Enea hit him and lost de warm so was illegally under pressure. !6 second penalty for that

He already acknowledged his for the Saturday sprint session. He said that it was completely his mistake. But for the tyre pressure incident, it is not his fault because he doesn't decide the tyre pressure, it's his team's job

There are a lot or arguments about how the tire pressure rule should be ditched, but they fail to take into account the reason for the rule - safety. Because the bikes handle differently with different pressures, having that change during a race can be dangerous - which is why Michelin advises a Safe Pressure Range. Riders try to cheat this by starting with low pressures to allow for a little following at the start to raise them some. Nitrogen fills would stop the changing of pressure during the race, but would not allow for pressure changes during the race to make the worn tires a little better towards the end. Instead of allowing this they should just state - Minimum Pressure is just that. Cheat and you get DQ'd, or throw in a huge penalty - 30 seconds or something.

He did not expect to be dropped so badly by the top guys to have the large gap. He had to get Digia to lead him out in order to get the tire pressure up. He tried to game the system, failed and threw the engineer, Enea and anyone else he could under the bus. Desperate for a result. 980 days since his last victory.. ego won’t let him retire. Will stick around long enough to pull the pin and blow up Ducati’s future. + mark. - best riders in line for factory seats. - factory satellite development team. Ouch.

Intentó jugarsela con una presion baja para tener mejor agarre, si tienes que acudir a estas triquiñuelas al borde de la ilegalidad significa que tienes un problema
no es que acudas a esas triquiñuelas, el ha puesto la minima presión posible para tener mas grip, cuando se le ha enfriado el neumatico despues del toque, ha perdido presión, y por estar una fracción de tiempo por debajo del limite lo han penalizado, es como si triquiñuela le llamaras a escoger goma blanda en vez de media, el piloto tambien se la juega a perder el grip al final de carrera, es una estrategia como cualquier otra que en este caso no ha podido mantener toda la carrera dentro del limite.

There are a lot or arguments about how the tire pressure rule should be ditched, but they fail to take into account the reason for the rule - safety. Because the bikes handle differently with different pressures, having that change during a race can be dangerous - which is why Michelin advises a Safe Pressure Range. Riders try to cheat this by starting with low pressures to allow for a little following at the start to raise them some. Nitrogen fills would stop the changing of pressure during the race, but would not allow for pressure changes during the race to make the worn tires a little better towards the end. Instead of allowing this they should just state - Minimum Pressure is just that. Cheat and you get DQ'd, or throw in a huge penalty - 30 seconds or something.
This happen when u have a less advanced bike to fight with more advanced bike.u need to push out all the limit.and proof marc is not simply dorna lovechild.he also get penalty if go wrong..Thats why marc want a better same bike like gp24 like other because he doesn't need to push the bike all at their limit to fight infront..when u have the best bike..your feelings and ride will be differ than had to concern and push everything to fight

Tyre Pressure are set by engineers not by riders. Everything was going well he managed it well by letting digi pass but enea push cost him

He did not expect to be dropped so badly by the top guys to have the large gap. He had to get Digia to lead him out in order to get the tire pressure up. He tried to game the system, failed and threw the engineer, Enea and anyone else he could under the bus. Desperate for a result. 980 days since his last victory.. ego won’t let him retire. Will stick around long enough to pull the pin and blow up Ducati’s future. + mark. - best riders in line for factory seats. - factory satellite development team. Ouch.
