Incredible how much effort was put into this fractions of infinity version just for it to be completely changed for the album

it’s okay. think we can all agree that we’d rather have the “THOSE WORDS DON’T DO YOU JUSTICE” version though.
@@teamseshboner honestly, I disagree. I think fractions of infinity is one of the weaker songs personally. This version is quite better for me. plus, the Sunday service choir doesn't make sense on this album. Danny did as he rapped from a different perspective, but those 40ish seconds were pointless at the end in the album.
@@8bitfrosted701 think it makes a whole lot of sense imo. it’s supposed to be about realizing that he’s in the situation he’s in and that’s that. he’s made his decision and there’s no point in fighting it anymore, hence “those words don’t do you justice.” the SSC might just be a short feature on the song, however i think it’s cool to look at it like they’re the static that’s mentioned a lot throughout this album. he’s pushed and ran away from it, not wanting to rest because he’s still attached to the life he once had. the SSC’s chant is like the static confirming his realization, that there’s nothing he could do or say that’ll change his situation. the best thing he could do is stop fighting it and find peace within the static.
The version we got is one of his best songs ever so I’m glad
coming here after scrapyard, one thing i didn’t notice but I love how the inverted colors become this fiery orange, the original color makes me think like dark forest with the house and its separated but now it’s like the whole world and house is burning down

so glad he turned "the knot" into "knots", in my opinion it's the song with the most creative production off the project
the demo for fractions of infinity is really cool, it sounds a lot darker than the original which is interesting
love hearing the contrasting structure and vibes of the demo to the release one, so cool
maybe im high but imo it sounds way happier
yeah the original is a lot more grand and ethereal, but this one sounds more grounded which i like :)

The Fractions of Infinity demo finally got me to understand what a "fraction of infinity" actually means; it's zero. It literally means: nothing. He can spend eternity in this purgatory, but ultimately his effect is nothing, he builds towards nothing. Look at the demo through this lense and it makes perfect sense. He knows that it's all for nothing, but he can't bring himself to give up.

i listened to it for the first time on the actual vinyl so it came right after cassini's division, it fit pretty well
imo it sounds like it could replace the static at the end of Cassini's division.
My wife got me the idmthy vinyl for my 24th bday and I didn’t know there was unreleased material on side D until I opened it. Such a cool thing to do for a physical release

- damn dustcutter was pretty sick in concept, but i see where thematically it might slip
- gone gone has a nice sound, but nowhere close to the rest of the of album
- the knot is a cool aural visualizer for the sequence before or after knots
- cynical glitch was definitely what was chosen over memories
- SSC enhanced foi so much, though the additional verses are cool
- new goodbye is pretty, the opposite of cassini's almost
I love "new goodbye" it brings out emotions in me
