Anna lived with excruciating pain for over a decade.
She - like many women - had fears, misconceptions, and years of medical run-around before deciding to go ahead with a hysterectomy.
Sadly, this isn’t at all uncommon!
In my new video, I’m chatting with Anna
about her hysterectomy experience, and busting the myths that (too often) leave women suffering for YEARS.
What happens when you wait too long before having a hysterectomy (when you want one)?

I had horrible periods my entire life. In my 20s thru 40s I got horrible cramps that wouldn't let up until I passed large blood clots. I never told my gynecologist about that. I had a hysterectomy last Christmas. I had been hemorrhaging off and on for 3 months. I was usually rushed to the ER that did nothing for me. I contacted my gynecologist and sent her pictures of my bed with just the mattress plastic covering that had blood from side to side. I had a surgeon's office call to see me. They said it would be a couple weeks until surgery. The next day they called and said let's do it next week. I never had the mystical ball. My cut was vertical and couldn't be thru my vagina because the endometriosis was too large and too hard inside my vagina so had to do a vertical cut. I had tylenol after surgery and that was it. The next morning when drs. were making rounds I said my pain level was a 2 and I didn't need anything for pain. Recovery was pleasant except for the no lifting reminder. I know my surgeon saved my life. PS. I was post menopausal and 68 at the time.

I went through multiple laparoscopies and debilitating pain for years. I opted for a full hysterectomy due to a history of ovarian cysts as well. One and done. My BEST advice is to find a specialized doctor. My doctor opted to save an ovary (I was 29) without my permission. That ovary and Fallopian tube prolapsed into my vaginal canal 9 months later, causing life long complications. Find a Specialized Doctor! I went with my OBGYN and that was a ginormous mistake.

@@DoctorRich I've seen the videos. have endometriosis myself. unfortunately also in rare places. but many things don't work for me.
although the hysterectomy did bring some relief.

Sadly, if you're not postmenopausal you don't know you have endometrial cancer until the hysteroscopy or hysterectomy is done. It's sly and sneaky, so if Aunt Flo's throwing too many raves in the She Shed, get checked!
