nice job. just one question can you actually tip the barrow (you did not show it so I guess you know. And cover that gear the protect your feet. that gear wheel will slice your feet in seconds - trust me!

This is a great idea i think i would put grip tape for the area you stand on and raise the handle bars a little that way you are not hunched over but other than that looks like you really thought this out really cool project
Sean McDermott . I believe he would have done better by putting 2 wheels on the wheelbarrow and a small engine under the pan to drive those wheels. Then the power would be where it needs to be. You can still steer it and dump it, plus you wont have to balance it. Just walk behind it. Have a couple of small wheels on the back, for straight line operation. He shows lots of tallent and he's shop savy. Just put the power on the wrong end.

1. Необходимо какое-то сиденье для водителя тележки, чтобы можно было смотреть вперед, а не вниз :)
2. На мой непрофессиональный взгляд необходимы колеса под заднюю част тележки - насыпь туда кирпичей и в руках уже точно не удержишь :)
И очень интересно было бы посмотреть, как такая штука потащит полную телегу тех же кирпичей. А так, с дивана, конечно же, смотрится просто шикарно :)
Под дуги тачки , поставить маленькие колёса и смонтировать сиденья. 👍

Need longer and angled handles, so it can be operated in a up right position. Pretty cool though, it would kill this old mans back.
EXCELLENT build. Now, make your back feel better and add some tubing to the handle height on your wheelbarrow, so you don't have to bend over so far. Again, parts 1 & 2 were EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting!

To make it perfect, tho, you better weld two plates on the rear part of the motor barrow, one for each foot. So if you step on them behind the wheels your weight can balance the load instead of your back lifting it.

Claudio Cecca I was thinking adding a pair of automotive springs to provide lift. Kind of a cantilever set up. But then dumping would either be over complicated or completely out of the question.
This thing reminds me or rooftop buggies I used to drive when I worked for a roofing company. Ours were four wheeled though, and articulated, so hitting anything solid with one of the front wheels would cause it to try to throw you off.
@@timothydornan6517 better my solution. To drive it with a load you' ve gotta push the handles down ( which is better than pull it up within your back ) .
Tu dump the load you just leave the handles go up and , with the help of your own weight, you just lift handles to do it. everything has to be well balanced and, i guess , step-plates adjustable to find the right balance ( just a nut and bolt in a buttonhole ). i hope i was clear to explain it.
...or step plates to step on to drive , but long enough to move your own weight along of them to balance the wheelbarrow load ( as it is not always the same ).And foldable to recover everything.

Impractical dude, nice build and everything but it doesn't look like it's going to perform the intended task of dumping dirt? Good luck on your next build though.
Do you have a video of the wheel barrow pulling anything heavy other than carrying you? Your desire requires it to push with that vertical swivel which could cause it to jack knife under load. Maybe you could have powered the front wheel and placed an electric and more compact motor in the front.
You're got a good design on the engine. If I were you I would look into extending the handle bars to fit your standing up postion while standing on the motor deck. The leaned over position on your back is going to be hurting after a day of use. Just a thought.
Looks more on a toy then a real working tool. Still, very nice work!

I think I would make different handles on the wheelbarrow. Make them come up higher so when you are operating it you are not bent over so much.

Its so dificult to handling. If you load it with something i think then you cant drive. You need littlebit wight in the front it makes easer to handling. And then maybe it works. Nice idea i like it little bit upgrade it and show us part 3 🙂 good luck with other projects 🙂
The wheel is a little low, if you could adjust the height of it so you can put a seat atop of the engine and a foot rest inside of the bottom of the wheel barrow it will have a great production impact on versatility and look in design.

Might be difficult to steer with only one wheel driving.
You may start building a new back if that's the way you intend to use it hunched over like that .

Well, you simply disassemble then dump... and just reassemble again
clearly unable to lift high enough to dump the load carried so in essence useless as an actual wheelbarrow, also looks uncomfortable to operate , too bent over , extend handles upward or make a seat.
Awesome job building. The wheelbarrow needs improvement I think. Way to light weight for all of the power. Also a 2 wheel front might be better. Otherwise great job. Skys the limit with you.

I made a motorised wheelbarrow too, mine looks like a ratrod and won't carry dirt anymore, but will do 45+mph!
As a side note, this fella is going to regret using his hand as a broom on fresh cut metal one day!

DOCTOR D.S. I been Thinking to improve Your Invention, that You need to detach the bowl from the wheelbarrow and weld two hinges at front of the bowl, and two removable pin locks at the rear of the Cart, and You will have an easy drop of the cargo like sand, stones, corn, etc.. Blessings

how would you tip the barrow to empty?
The connection point needs to be further forward on the barrow for effective tipping and would make the steering easier too. Also lower gearing as those small donks are designed to run around 3600rpm which is the top of their torque curve. At low revs, they don't have much poke and can put excessive wear on the centrifugal clutch.

needs to be a walk behind with one tire in back for a pusher traction. Then a dump pivot point.
Looks unstable and dangerous...built a seat, weld the bottom bar so that it stays off the ground and you won’t need to lift...your screwed if you have to go backwards. But otherwise, your creative, I’ll give you that. How will you dump the load? Wouldn’t it be easier just to use it normally? I’ll give you a C+

Minnesota Madman I’ve been a metal fabricator for over 50 years, I know I could do better. He’s young and has a lot to learn, but for his age, he’s done a pretty good job. But lots of safety concerns and much improvement needs to be done. He will learn as time goes by, and this project is a good start.
