Looks like a great product. Georgia has a permit you can apply for to operate flashing lights from Dept. of Public Safety. Daughter is an EMR so this might be easier to make factory lights flasb.
I've been trying to get that permit for 2 years. Just get a circular runaround every time I try. So I just run my lights (yellow/white). Cops haven't taken much notice except when they're off (they don't know what color they are). When they see that they're not red or blue they just shrug.
Tailgate light bars: I have mine set up with NO running lights. So driving down the road, I don’t have a lit up strip. But when I brake/ turn signal, it lights up. Kind of cool. Do that!

STL is very low quality work, I would personally go with Whelen Products or maybe even SoundOff, as I have upfitted vehicles ONLINE for games and stuff, so I had to do my research regarding quality of products, how they work, etc. Hell, Code 3 does some nice work. But STL?? Nah fam.

We have had three customers in our shop that had one of these completely destroy multiple computer modules. One was a $15,000 fail which was not warranty covered because as soon as you install these your warranty is void! So I wouldn't recommend it.
How is that possible when it doesn’t put out any voltage? Can’t void the warranty either if it can’t possibly be traced by the dealer if it’s unplugged?

I would want a wig wag setting where the front lights alternate and strobe similar to emergency lights. Maybe have the back lights do the same and add a push bumper
News flash ~ Flashing red lights on the rear of your vehicle IS legal in California. They are called 'emergency flashers'. Flashing red/blue lights on the Front of your car is illegal if you are not law enforcement and flashing red lights on the front of your car is illegal if you are not Fire/paramedic, or ambulance. Otherwise, great video..

I know this video is a little old but the general rule for the DLT in Federal Regulations is they can be the same color is the DLT lights example Amber and red and clear on the rear clear and Amber on the front and I believe that's Countrywide I also believe in some states it don't matter what's on the rear end it only matters if you have blue or red facing the front of the vehicle so sides and rear your clear

@@portalfire3719 Hazard lights people flat out ignore. I've had people damn near rear end me on the shoulder and then get mad when I don't move (probably because the car in front of me is disabled). Strobes at least convince them to move back into the traffic lane enough to get around us. I've lost one car completely, and almost my leg, because hazard lights (even at night) do not get noticed.

I ordered a Banks pedal commander for my 2020 Ram 2500 and it woke it up so much it feels like a different truck especially coming from a 2014 Ram 1500 Hemi. That’s really I think for like if you break down of if you use your truck for some Chyna highway worker where you see the highway shut down and you’ll see contractors on the side of the road and usually you’ll see like the foreman sitting there and it is nice truck with those type of lights but also people who plow snow will use that type of stuff and usually put something on the top of the truck So you can be seen in bad weather
I imagine they use these to see how many times an LED light can be turned on and off before it goes out. Even its a couple hundread thousand flashes. I wouldn't spend to much time showing off these features. Maybe during crazy storms or in aid of traffic emergencies! But it seems like a repurpose or rebrand chip to check fail safe stuff. Cool lights tho. Id just hate to have to do all 6 Led bulbs before their time hahahaha.
I just ordered one for my F150, I do volunteer work that I at times need warning lights for. Like you though I of course cannot have any flashing red so I will have to take my brake lights and rear turn lights out of the equation as they are red.

If you get your brake lights to flash, you should be ok. Check with your state laws. My state you can have red flashing to the rear. So for example, if you have a light bar on top of your vehicle, you can flash red lights. Your state law is probably the same as some cars have red turn signals that flash. If it was illegal people would be getting tickets every time they signaled a turn. So as long as they are the lights on the rear of a vehicle and nothing facing the sides or front that are red, you should be good to go. But as stated above, check your state law before using them on the road.
I never plug anything into that computer port unless it is officially approved by a well-known company. Last time I pluged something in I fried my entire computer and my car was scrapped

From my understanding and I just ordered mine know it stays permanently attached to the port you would only remove it if you were moving it to another vehicle or unit put a scanner there they do make a pigtail split so you can still keep it connected and run your ODB scanners

Thanks for doing this! I’ve been looking for a way to manipulate the OEM lights with out buying third party lights with being a fire fighter.

in most state red flashing is okay as long as it is rear facing. no front facing reds

I put a z-flash on a 2018 ram 2500 and unfortunately it did not strobe the trailer. Not sure with other vehicles though.
