DC had a really good thing going with Rebirth…& then they touched it!!! Hopefully All In will get things back on track & they let the things that work keep working & don’t shoot themselves in the foot.
They really need to commit to these series long term if they want to see the success of an Ultimate Universe. I have no doubt Absolute Batman will be good considering the creative team involved.
Sounds like another gimmick to me. I've never seen continuity as the enemy, just a challenge since readers of a continuing universe like to see the universe continue. It's kind of like life. We live in a continuing universe. I'm not against the idea of a new continuity, but New Earth failed, I thought we already had Black Label, and DC already seems to be pushing out older readers for a new audience so why create a new continuity just for them and continue that? Personally, I'd like to see a more all-ages universe, one kids and adults can both enjoy, like the stuff I grew up in the Bronze age. It wasn't too dark for kids but still had strong character development for grown up readers and cool action and costumes for both. Maybe find a well to sell it at a cheaper price while still making a profit. That would be something different, and kids love superheroes even though as of late they're really underserved in that area. Also, and it could just be me, but your mic is a bit soft. Maybe work on that or fix it in post.

I agree, I recently was watching some clips where Darwyn Cook was talking about how comics took a dark turn and they should be for all ages. There’s no silver bullet, but I do think you can’t go wrong with starting with focusing on great stories for all ages.
Yeah, he’s an absolute unit lol. I was recently rereading Court of Owls and I have faith in Snyder-so I’m excited but the image itself doesn’t inspire much of that excitement.
@@gur3478 Batman is supposed to be a stealthy martial artist, not unlike a ninja. The recent trend of having him bulk up and wearing armor or a heavily padded suit that can take ALL the bullets isn't as cool to me.

They tend to lose focus-where marvel does relaunches every 6 months, DC does initiatives. I’m hopeful for this though!
