Hey Barry go with the " little bit" . Own it and make it your catch phrase. Put it on your t-shirts and coffee mugs. Hahahaha👍🏻👍🏻

My wife and I have a running joke when it comes to FedEx. Whenever we see one of their trucks coming up our street we laugh and ask “I wonder who’s getting a damaged package today” We’ve never had any problems with UPS.

You need a “Little Bit” jar on the show. Every time you say “Little Bit”, put a dollar in the jar. On a positive note in about six months, you’ll be able to buy a new Mustang. Wahoo!

Barry, you will be very pleased with NPD. They have been my go to after I got fed up with CJPP having to back order everything. Bottom line, if your not happy with an item they will make it right without making you sit in hold for 2 days and run you up the ladder. Even better, if you have a question regarding fit and quality options prior to an order, they would PREFER you call and the reps will point you in the right direction. I even had the owner reach out to me when there was some uncertainty as to which part was “correct” for my application.
As for the wrapping paper, that is one of their signatures and a running dialog on some of the forums, especially over the holidays.
What I did find surprising was the lack of a printed catalog in your order. Did you happen to get more than one box in your delivery?

I saw an original ad for the first Mustang, and the white coupe driving had a noticeable issue with the hood curve vs. fender curve. You would have thought they would have done better for first ads with brand new cars. I was glad my '67 had a perfect fender/hood match up with the fender and hood curves and gaps. And as you know, if the hinges are stiff, it is easy to bend those hoods. That Mustangs Unlimited box was opened after packaging for some reason and taped back up. I got a number of boxes from Mustangs Unlimited, and they are always closed with the copper staples and not tape.

Good job Barry. I just got my very first order from NPD today that I will have to send back. Normally, everything is good to go but this time I received quarter window seals and they are over 1 inch too short. Pretty disappointed as I am converting my 73 quarter windows to crank down instead of fixed and wanted to change the seals out today. Oh well, that is what we deal with when using aftermarket available parts. Good luck on Jade.

The hood on my 65 didn’t follow the fender arc either. Laid a 2x4 across the fenders and put a better bend in it. Was scary on a fiberglass hood but makes the fit much better. Good luck. I know you’ll get it straightened out.

The easiest way to adjust a hood is to have someone in the engine compartment with a half inch wrench and give them orders. Missed the live stream... 80* and very nice out and was fitting the new quarter panel.

Was a much happier results at the end of this video compared to last effort. Better parts equal better results but we never know if that aftermarket is a good fit until we go through all the work to install and check.

In my shipping and receiving experience FedEx does bring in more damaged and mangled looking boxes than UPS does. And I've heard that the rollers when they are loading the trucks you could have a small light box on it and behind it comes a much bigger and heavier box and smashes right into it. And with Christmas approaching both FedEx and UPS's trucks are jam packed. Boxes just pushed and jammed in there damaging other boxes. But I agree, NPD's box was much more nicely packaged. Professional.

There are the hinges I am going to order. Thanks again Barry saving me going through all the crap hinges. One trick I would like to pass on is to use a old seat belt and hook onto spring and pull on works really slick to install springs. There is an example on TH-cam of how it is done. Don't change the way you express yourself because someone pointed it out. Say Little bit as much as it takes to explain what you are doing.

At the factory, they would put steel shims under the fender bolts to help align the hood to the fender. I noticed your fender had some waves to it, that might help. Nice hinges!

I can agree with you on NPD, my store is about 40 minutes south of me, so its really nice to have them in my back yard so to speek. Some of the items though are higher priced vs the other Mustang suppliers and they are from the same manufacturer as well. And they don't do any specials like CJ's with their RPM points, buy other than that they still get a lot of my business.

We really don't mind your saying " a little bit " because we are here for your presentation and content. For me, It is always an informative, entertaining and interesting experience. But just to mix it up a little bit you may want to try using a smidgen, touch, trace , tad , minute (mynute) , fraction as a replacement. Keep the videos coming and we'll keep watching regardless .

  • @Timbo428CJ
    @Timbo428CJ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Barry, I'm pretty sure that everyone would agree that the use of ( A little bit ) is not that big of a deal, I mean it's just you being you and that's what we're all here for. So I'm happy with that if a little bit happens to come out no matter when it does. But it's still hilarious you feel the need to catch yourself when using it. For me with the mustang retailer's, I tend to watch for sale items around any holiday and most of the mustang parts retailers will do that. But NPD does a way better job packaging our items more so than CJ or Kentucky mustang.
Probably why they get a really good CSR than the others, and NPD is 40 minutes from me so it saves me on truck freight for bigger items.

FedEx brought mine as well and it appears they threw it over my gate, box was ripped and all the bolts were missing, I assumed they fell out during shipping. I did call cjpony and they are sending the missing parts!

in your last video I suggested you go with national parts depot instead of CJ pony parts. This seems to prove what I said is true. If you want to quality, forget about CJ pony parts. The shop doing my car right now is having nothing but problems with poor quality parts and things on back order coming from them. I told the shop owner to go with national parts depot. Suggest you do the same for products in the future.

I think that Dynacorn is over priced overated junk. I bought a drivers door and deck lid and never used either. The deck lid was so heavy that the factory rods couldn't overcome the weight but worse than that was the area where the chrome trim bolts to was 1/2" short that I had to add metal for the trim to bolt on. I ended up having better parts shipped from Oregon to Ohio to rehab for use. The door wing vents were so far off that I sent the original parts to get rechromed. Asia made parts are just plain junk. I reworked the hood hinges from my 1971 Mustang rather than get frustrated with junk that was being supplied by dealers.

"Little bit" is a perfectly acceptable phrase! It is more disturbing to the watching the video for you to stop and grumble at yourself every time you say it. I'd much rather you just go ahead and say "little bit" whenever you need to.
