Omg....it worked people...tonight I had 2 x 9 min boiled eggs 150c Asda v basic air fryer....they were gorgeous. Put in egg cup. Peeled ok...9;mins fridge to table...it's not a taste sensation it's a life revelation.......Thank you both...
As to the peeling issue some have the bowl of water did the trick...stuck mine in my egg cup...Nd bashed top...peeled fine...my life has just got easier...
I gave this a try right after watching the video - I tried 150c for 9 minutes (two eggs as you did) and into water. I'm glad I didn't try to peel the first one, I have an egg topper (lops off the top) and it wasn't just runny it was barely cooked, very runny. I popped the other one back in the air fryer for two minutes. Having already dunked that in the water and cooled it, that to wasn't completely done to my soft boiled but not with the whites under cooked. It probably differs with the Air Fryer being used, mine a Ninja Dual Zone, I will give it an other try and bump up the temp to 170c for the same 9 minutes.

Another great video guys and one I will be trying. Eggs can be horrible to peel but if you crack the egg and put it back into the water for a minute, it makes it much easier to peel. .... Just saying ❤ xx

I've bought myself a notepad marked 'Butler's recipes' and have already got your fish pie, cream slices and sausage rolls recipes in it. I'll now put the timings and temps for the eggs. Fantastic I went and done 2 hard boiled eggs 🥚 as soon as I saw this. Eggs were lovely but had the same trouble with the shells maybe it’s the process ❤❤
Hi Sharon and Martin hope your all well thank you for boiled eggs done in the airfryer I was shocked how well they turned out I did prefer the hard boiled one but hey ho very good thank you your number one fan Angela❤
I've been doing this for a long time, but what we're really getting is baked eggs, not boiled. So the membrane cooks hard and smells a bit, but the trade off is quick eggs and I'm a happy bunny!
A tip for peeling cooked eggs. Bash it g3ently on a flat side, then roll it a lot until it is like crazy paving. Now when you open it try and get under the membrane. The shell comes off all in one. Just rinse off to clear ny little bits of shell that may have stuck.
That was very interesting with the eggs, watching that was worried in case cracked the mess in them drawers and the hassle of cleaning, I might try eggs in the air fryer myself after watching this video xx❤😊
Just had to try this just done it now it worked thanks for showing us this video who would of thought you could do a hard boiled egg in the air fryer.😊
Hi guys, I do hard boil eggs in my air fryer on 120c for 15 mins then plunge in cold water they turn out brilliant. Haven’t tried a soft boiled yet, so will try this tomorrow, thank you so much as always. Lots love 😊
i love making dippy eggs in the air fryer. it makes it so much easier than boiling a pan of water. i will have to try doing boiled eggs next time like you've tried. great video!
Just had dippy eggs for breakfast, have to say I am pleasantly surprised how quick and easy it was,no more boiling eggs for me,thankyou for all you do 😊x
This has been my go-to breakfast for the last 6 months. Soft boiled eggs and buttered toast. A lot of trial and error at the time to get it soft boiled and not snotty.
Great experiment. The soft looks fab….I prefer my hard boiled hard….personal preference so will be adding a minute or two. Thanks for being the Guinea pigs.
Seb had this for breakfast this morning but I did his on the hob. We now use the Himalayan pink sea salt, Seb loves it. Thank you another great video x
Hi Folks 👋, Lovely to see you😂. Fabulous 👌 👏 those eggs!!!!!! And you're so right!!!! Faffing about boiling water & checking the clock and wondering. More great advice. 150' 10 mins! PERFECT FOR US. I've been doing the soft boiled for ages , same time as you did , straight in my egg cups and dip in 😊. Also done hard boiled ones same time and made egg mayo for my sarnies. It's a taste sensation !
Hi Martin and Sharon, thanks for this vid. I shall try those temps and to Timings next time. The shells do ‘stick’ more if you air fry the egg. My absolute go to on a boiled egg is Maldon Sea Salt. It’s from Essex and is the best salt going IMO xx
I've just bought the induction hob, air fryer oven and the pressure cooker.....oh and the meat thermometer......that you use......your an inspiration guys
I did a soft boiled egg in the pressure cooker using boiling water from the kettle, high setting, 0 minutes and quick release as shown in FREE FROM Lifestyle and it was as perfect as Sharon’s, I don’t know the overall timing but I’m sure it’s not too much different. I am going to try the air fryer method and compare. The hard boiled looked great too. ❤❤🐾🐾
I could be going loopy, but thought you did this with testing some viral air fryer weird foods? Kale etc? Maybe I dreamt it! 😂 I'm gunna try this, though! You're both looking very good, lots of love ❤
Hi from the midlands.. airfryer eggs are a nightmare to peel but under running water they are a little easier, timings depend on egg size a bit of trial and error, thanks for an interesting experiment.
Oh good! I love soft eggs with soldiers for breakfast and yet I love hard eggs mashed up with a little vinegar and salad cream in a sandwich for lunch! That’s me sorted then… 😊. I will add these details to my iPad Cosori cooking notes and give it a try. Thank you! 🙏 👍
I’ve done these several times, but I still prefer real boiled eggs, this way they are hard to peel… and they need to come out straight away, I forgot and went for a shower…. They were dark brown rubber balls 😂
I did find that although it works and they cook well, like you, the shell seems to get sucked in and they are not great to peel and you lose a bit of the white ……. No Martin not the membrane, it does do that when you peel them. But it does work 👍🏽 Defo salt 🧂 😊
The preheating is extra-faff, certainly. But without it you're actually testing the specific timing for your air fryer alone, as heat-up times would vary greatly across different models. It's set to 150 degrees for 10 minutes, but its actually running a gradient from room temperature to 150 degrees for 10 minutes. Its good to know that it works in principle though. Thanks for the video!
I was told by my butcher that its harder to peel a really fresh egg than one that is a few days old so that maybe why it was harder for you the eggs you had were really fresh, love the content guys M

I agree. I find if you roll the egg in your hands it creates loads of cracks and it's easy to peel then
Put the eggs in a cup and gently shake the cup with hand over the top. It breaks the egg shell gently and makes it easy to peel

Could you make mini vegetable frittatas in the air fryer. These look delicious and are a healthy option for breakfast.

Im gonna try that now..😊
Short vid but what a good one. I love a soft boiled egg with soldiers. I rarely get them right. Were they large eggs?
Yes, large eggs at room temperature
These are baked eggs not boiled eggs. My nan always used to cook baked eggs like this in her oven when we visited - a dozen eggs at one time..!
I only ever preheat the air fryer if I'm doing something where I want the underneath to sear quickly in order to keep moisture inside.
Essentially all I'm doing when preheating is getting the basket good and hot so the steak or whatever gets seared underneath the moment it touches the pan.
The circulating air will cook the steak from underneath but that air only gets through where the holes in the basket are so you want that steak to sear right away where it's in contact with the basket too in order to prevent the meat from drying out during cooking.
Brilliant. Definitely eggs for breakfast. Thank youse 👌
Thanks for trying this and sharing the video
I’ll definitely be trying them eggs for breakfast. 👍
If you tap the top and bottom of the egg with a spoon until you hear a snap noise that will break the membrane and make it a lot easier to peel
Get a wet teaspoon, and slide it under the shell, it'll come off nicely! x
Perfect helthy snack whats not to like😊
i think i will stick with my egg steamer, still no having to boil water first.
Well done again guys xx😂😂
We found the same faff in the peeling when done in the air fryer
