    A huge thank you for your GED Math videos! I haven't taken the test since 2010. I have no problem with the other subjects,I can't say the same for math. I now have an idea about what it is I should be studying. I'm off to study! I'll be sure and come back to thank you when I finally get my GED. Hope you're having a great day!

    Anyone else here who also struggles with math, do you also have the specific problem of understanding all the logical concepts but your brain being turned off/fooled into bering confused by the terminology or the numbers/symbols themselves?
    It's frustrating. It's like I'm so confused till it suddenly snaps and I'm like "OHHHH. that's what they mean by x" and it's so o o o embarrassing lol

    • @michellerevisited
      @michellerevisited  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope you give yourself a little grace - math is hard! But you can do it if you keep with it. Your brain needs some time to get used to the new vocabulary and symbols. Your hard work will pay off 😊

    Question, I purchased a Kaplan study book. The chapters are quite large and have more subjects to study than what you're saying on the test. Since it's a Kaplan book which is highly recommended. Should I still be reviewing the entire book for the ged? I'm worried if I only study the subject you're suggesting, that I would miss opportunities to get the best results on the rest of the test

    • @michellerevisited
      @michellerevisited  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Please be sure to check all four videos in this series for all the topics. But to be clear - I'm explaining what you need to know to PASS the test with a score of 145. There is more that appears on the test that you could work on if you'd like to get a higher score. That depends on your goals, your starting point, and your timeline. Good luck!

    So Area is always going to be multiplying and Perimeter is always going to be adding?

    • @michellerevisited
      @michellerevisited  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that’s right, but be mindful to add up all the sides for the perimeter. The area formulas are slightly different for different shapes, but you can use the formula sheet.

    So the calculator you linked we could use that during the Ged math test? It would just give me the answer and make things easier for me?

    • @michellerevisited
      @michellerevisited  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep! There are only a few (either 4 or 5, depending) questions at the beginning of the test where you can't use the calculator. Otherwise you are free to use it as a tool! Of course, sometimes the hard part is knowing what to type into it, so I definitely recommend practicing, especially word problems.

    • @michellerevisited
      @michellerevisited  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! This depends on how much time you have. I would get a GED prep book and start to go through the math section. I would also use Khan Academy for more practice on each topic. You can watch the first video in this series to see the intro skills you might want to start with. It might also be worth it to see if there are GED tutors available in your area! A lot of places have free resources for GED prep support. Let me know if there is anything you'd like me to talk about more in depth in a future video!
