I've been trying to pass math for a year now with minor breaks in between my last year test I received a 143 then tried again may 1st of this year and received a 140. sometimes I feel like I am not passing due to the first test with the five questions I could be wrong, but I truly appreciate these gems you're dropping and hopefully I can finish strong this year and pass math to receive my diploma.

Mr. Weiss, without going into long detail I was kicked/quit high school halfway through 10th grade. If it didn’t intrigue me I didn’t want anything to do with it. So math has always been the subject that never peeked my interest and I would get frustrated because I couldn’t understand how to workout decimal problems in 6th grade let alone fractions, algebra, etc. I just couldn’t retain it no matter how hard I tried. So math has been stopping me from 15yo until currently 36yo now. Thanks to you and your videos I am beginning to grasp math and realized it’s not nearly as intimidating or hard as I always thought it to be and it was just my frustration of needing a solid teacher to teach me in a way I can understand and retain all this crazy stuff, so I can finally take the last part of the ged test and start RN/mortician college. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because I have 2 high functioning autistic kids who also struggle with math and learn the same way I do so now we can all learn this not so complicated math stuff together as a family. I will be the second person in my family to get my ged as my mom got hers but I will be the first one to actually go to college and make something of myself. To all you youngins who are currently dreading/hating/struggling/etc when it comes to high school and you think it will be so much easier/better/funner/etc to quit high school and run around being a schmuck/getting a fast food job, DO NOT listen to those voices in your head. I repeat, DO NOT listen to that voice telling you school is not important because it absolutely is. In today’s world and in your adult life future by the time you are having your own kids all these places like McDonald’s/KFC/BK/etc will require a high school diploma or ged. With the amount of technology we have today vs 15 years ago you absolutely have zero excuses to be getting bad grades because you can’t understand something. Take it from someone who is learning that the hard way in today’s world. There is no surviving in today’s world or in the future on McDonald’s pay, I can promise you that. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or make excuses as to why you can’t ask for help. The sky’s the limit for you kids. You are not entitled to anything in this world except for what YOU work for. Mom and dad ain’t always going to be around to pick up the pieces. Nothing in your life is worth anything if you didn’t have to work/struggle and put your own blood, sweat, and tears into achieving your goal. I fear for our future because of the amount of entitlement that is running rampid like a bad std Ajax can’t get off. Things your parents pay for like your phone/car/insurance/electronics/etc are privileges not a necessity and they can disappear just as fast as they appeared. Be grateful, compassionate, considerate, and kind to your parents, siblings, and friends because you will always need them.
The reason why many students find maths to be difficult is that the teachers don't take their time to explain it better.I left school so many years ago but with their simple explanation,lam now understanding it

At 2:50 on question 2, , I forgot to show you how to BALLPARK this. In short it goes like this. 0.431* 5.6 Think the following: 0.431 is close to 43 cents. bump this up to 50 cents AND 5.6 is close to $5.60 so bump this down to $5. In short you have .50 * 5 which is the same as 1/2 of 5 which equals 2.50 which is close to answer D.
Wow! This was SUPER EASY to understand! I have Dyscalculia and sometimes numbers get juggled everywhere in my mind. Formulas and concepts are so hard….but you sir had me mind blown! Number 1 is negative 4 and a half. The reason why I chose it because it’s between-4 and -2. It counts backwards to 6,4,3,2,1. Since the mark is next to the line point -3, it has to be before that number which is -4 and a half
I passed!!!!! I finished my classes but didn't feel prepared. I decided to try even that I was not confident in myself yet, but I watched most of your videos just a couple of hours before my test and you made it so easy for me. It was like turn the light on for me! Your explanations are teaching how to recognize the answer and many other shortcuts that are great for someone who struggles in Math like me. I did exactly what you teach including highlighting the questions and it was like you were guiding me to answer. Everything you teach is on the test! Wow, this is great to hear!!! And your right, the test taking strategies of highlighting the final question, ball parking (estimating), process of elimination (POE) i.e. looking for incorrect answers and eliminating them, and using your answer choices to help you, are all so important!! Many times people who score really well on standardized tests are just experts at testing taking strategies and thus get good scores. People spend hundred and sometimes thousands of dollars to learn these test taking strategies for all sorts of tests including college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT. But these strategies are universal and can help with ALL standardized tests. Obviously you need to study the material as well, but a combination of test taking strategies and learning the material together is the best way to go! Well in short, I am so happy for you!!! And congratulations!!!!!

For question 5, I say the answer is C:36. Here’s how I figure it out. I see no parentheses and exponent. So, I move on to multiplication or division. 15/3=5. Which is 6x5=30. Now, theirs an addition or subtraction problem. 30-4=26 and 26+12=38
I HAVE AN EASIER WAY TO DO QUESTION 3. SUSAN WALKS 4 MINUTES AND DAPHNE WALKS 6 MINUTES; THEY WALKED AT THE SAME TIME. FIRST YOU ADD 6 + 4 = 10. THEN YOU FIND THE DIFFERENCE: 6 - 4 = 2. FINALLY YOU ADD BOTH ANSWERS 10 + 2 = 12. OR EVEN EASIER: + 4 - 4 = 0 AND + 6 + 6 = 12. FOR QUESTION 5, YOU ALWAYS DO ORDER OF OPERATION WHICH IS 👉 DIVIDE, MULTIPLY, SUBTRACT, ADD. IN THAT ORDER ALWAYS. BASICALLY, DIVISION AND MULTIPLICATION TAKES PRIORITY OVER ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION, BUT DIVISION ALWAYS TAKES PRIORITY OVER MULTIPLICATION.
Thank you for showing how to "SEE" and work from Left to right first., when it comes to divide , multiply, addition, and subtraction. I will have to repeat a few more times to get the system down. Had lousy math teachers, some so MONO tone, and boring it put half the class to sleep. other math teacher had a very thick German accent. and the other thick Western India accent. DU , DE < DAH, DI, E , Thee, do du. ,da twee, and the last of the math year was with a disruptive class, so I hatted Math, because I needed that grade but failed.

For question 5, I say the answer is C:36. Here’s how I figure it out. I see no parentheses and exponent. So, I move on to multiplication or division. 15/3=5. Which is 6x5=30. Now, theirs an addition or subtraction problem. 30-4=26 and 26+12=38
I HAVE AN EASIER WAY TO DO QUESTION 3. SUSAN WALKS 4 MINUTES AND DAPHNE WALKS 6 MINUTES; THEY WALKED AT THE SAME TIME. FIRST YOU ADD 6 + 4 = 10. THEN YOU FIND THE DIFFERENCE: 6 - 4 = 2. FINALLY YOU ADD BOTH ANSWERS 10 + 2 = 12. OR EVEN EASIER: + 4 - 4 = 0 AND + 6 + 6 = 12. FOR QUESTION 5, YOU ALWAYS DO ORDER OF OPERATION WHICH IS 👉 DIVIDE, MULTIPLY, SUBTRACT, ADD. IN THAT ORDER ALWAYS. BASICALLY, DIVISION AND MULTIPLICATION TAKES PRIORITY OVER ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION, BUT DIVISION ALWAYS TAKES PRIORITY OVER MULTIPLICATION.

Thank you for showing how to "SEE" and work from Left to right first., when it comes to divide , multiply, addition, and subtraction. I will have to repeat a few more times to get the system down. Had lousy math teachers, some so MONO tone, and boring it put half the class to sleep. other math teacher had a very thick German accent. and the other thick Western India accent. DU , DE < DAH, DI, E , Thee, do du. ,da twee, and the last of the math year was with a disruptive class, so I hatted Math, because I needed that grade but failed.

I studied in Uganda for us we use BODMAS which means Bracket of Davison multiplication addition subtraction thanks though
I had the multiplication with the decimal number and the distance unit.
