Does anyone here have broad experience using DIC? I was hoping I could ask a question. I am trying to understand this in a general manner. From this video at 0:06 timestamp, we see that two (I assume 'matched') 'DIC Nomarski Prisms' are required. One below the sample, and one above. Apparently there is no concept of a single one-size-fits-all 'DIC Nomarski Prism. As when I look at actual part numbers, for example in the Olympus microscope line, there are several of these: U-DIC-10, U-DIC-20, U-DIC-40, U-DIC60, and U-DIC100. What I notice in the differing catalog numbers is what appears to be the 'Magnification' is different. This implies the DIC Nomarski Prism is somehow 'optimized' to a given magnification. My first question is - what actually causes these DIC Nomarski Prisms to be different in their manufactured characteristics? In other words, if one were to hold both a U-DIC10 and compare it to a U-DIC20 - how exactly would they be different?
Thank you - one of the best explanations I have seen on DIC
Dude, you are saving my life
Wow dude, its so, clear to understand
My God that was a really good explanation. Thank you
I salute for your explanation..
This really is a simple explanation. Thank you so much! ^^
Amazing explanation!

Good explanation.Thank you.
Great work
Are the two Nomarski prisms exactly the same (just inversed) or do they differ?
thank you very much! Isn't the condenser after the polarizer, between prism and stage?
yes it is. you are right
very useful thank you
crystal clear 🤟
Excellent
Wow best video ever explaining DIC
Thanks a lot bro .....

DIC makes no sense because oblique illumination gives the same imaging.

Thank you so much!!
Life saver
Thank you

Thank you so much!
thank you
