Three mistakes I made this year with the pumpkins I started late for planting / seedling sales as well as planting pumpkin seedlings into year old plastimulch - not the results I was hoping for.
Free compost was used in the seedling trays, and it wasn't clean, and did not compost at high enough temperature - resulting in weeds in the seedling trays.
Germination was also an issue, and my starter greenhouse wasn't consistently warm enough for great germination.
