My Experience:
I bought an HP Envy 6 laptop some years back. After completing 13 months, the hinge broke. I went to HP service-center. They said i cant replace the hinge, instead i have to replace the entire display unit, (top portion) which costs around 12,500 rupees. It was after 7 days warranty expired. Since i was out of option I had to buy it, same thing happened after 3 months. The technician told me this is a recognised problem with theses units, and they might have replaced laptop if it was covered under warranty. Please make sure everyone reviews the product that you are buying thoroughly.

ഒരു ഷോപ്പിലെ Sales representative ന് അതിന്റെ techinical specifications അറിയാൻ പറ്റും എന്നല്ലാതെ അതിന്റെ manufacturing process എന്തായിരുന്നു. ഉള്ളിലെ components എങ്ങിനെ install ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നൊക്കെ എങ്ങിനെ അറിയാൻ സാധിക്കും. നമ്മൾ സാധനങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങിക്കുന്നത് എപ്പോഴും ഒന്നുകിൽ ഒരു dealership ൽ നിന്നും അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരു third party shop ൽ നിന്നുമായിരിക്കും authorised dealer ആണെങ്കിൽ പോലും അവർക്ക് അതു service ചെയ്യാനുള്ള training പോലും കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടാവില്ല. Complint ആണോ ആ complaint ഉള്ള part ഉം related ഉം ഒക്കെ അങ്ങു replace ചെയ്യും. ഒരു കാറിന്റെ industry പോലും ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഇതാണ്. Repairing എന്നൊരു കാര്യം പൊതുവെ ചെയ്യാറില്ല. പുറത്തെ ഒരു shop ൽ കൊടുത്താൽ ആ ഒരാൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ repair ചെയ്യാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചേക്കും, കേടുവന്നാൽ ആദ്യത്തെ service ന് കയറുമ്പോൾ ആ technician നോട് ചോദിച്ചാൽ അയാൾ ഒരു പക്ഷെ പറഞ്ഞു തന്നേക്കും നിങ്ങൾ ചോദിച്ച ഇത്തരം ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള മറുപടി. ഇതാണ് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയ കാര്യം.

Actually they are cost saving by eliminating the screws for low end models.

I had the same issue. Bought ASUS Laptop under 35k. After three months of minor usage the Keys some work and some keeps on pressing. It was under warranty that time and was replaced for free. This keyboard is also fixed with plastic Rivets. Again after keeping the laptop for a long time, the keyboard made the same issue and the warranty expired and costed me Rs.2500. Same again also happened after a few months and I didn't give for repairing. Later when I tried turning it ON, it's not turning ON. Only will turn ON if I plug in the Charging adapter and even if the Battery shows full and switch OFF the charger, the laptop will turn OFF. Goodbye to ASUS forever
