RIP Lasse Wellander, ABBA's guitarist, died on Good Friday from cancer aged 70. All his solos were fantastic in all the different bands he played and his thighs were the second ones to be massaged by Frida and Agnetha in the live version from Wembley 79 of Does Your Mother Know
I like his solo on Our Last Summer.
ABBA were noted for their harmonies, especially the female leads Agnetha (Blonde) and Anna-Frid (Brunette)
They were the super group of the 70's and one the best selling artists of all time with a huge back catalogue of pop hits.
You will probably be most familiar with "Dancing Queen" but you may find you recognise one or two others as their songs have been heavily sampled and covered.

But they never made anything even close to this song.
Imo Abba has several songs that are better than the best work the Beatles ever produced but this song in particular is leaps and bounds beyond Lennon and McCartney at their best.

If she didnt get it prior, she automatically got a Swedish citizanship when she got married so...
Shes as much Swedish as shes Norwegian.

Frida was born in Norway, but since she was two years old she lived in the North of Sweden, there she grew up and trained, there she had her first musical experiences and participated in all the Swedish competitions, even winning a musical talent contest in Sweden
so Frida is considered as Swedish as the rest of the ABBA members
and she always refers to ABBA as a swedish quartet
beyond where Frida was born or the story of her biological father who contributes nothing to the music of ABBA

ABBA were masters of making lyrically sad songs so up-beat and happy sounding. 'Knowing Me Knowing You', being another example of a break up song sounding very happy. If you're not paying too much attention to the lyrics, then you could easily mistake this as being a happy or even Christmas, (although, that's a bit of a stretch), song.
The amazing thing is that the comment was made immediately after the saddest part of the song, which she paused after.
