Combine win with 5 on the drop or was it 4?

This is the fourth race of the 2024 Young Bird Series. We had a really good day in both lofts. Unfortunately, the birds came before I watched for them, and I missed clocking a bird that should have been on the drop. It looks like we won the combine with the first four spots. The next three went to Larry’s Loft. After missing the previous two weeks, I'm happy with the results.

I got the Nubiotic stuff several months back. Tried it once and haven’t used it again bc I didn’t like the oily staining around the face. I should probably get over my vanity and use it regularly.

@RFRP There is an oregano product from TSC called "Wellness Blend" for poultry. I have not seen any staining from it. A person could add a little cinamnon oil and probably come close to duplicating the Nubiotic.

Nice job. The birds did well. I think the release team needs to step it up a bit though.. It's not that difficult. They're way out of sync and that's not a good thing when releasing the birds. Also, the hinges on the crates need to be WD - 40'd.. The doors aren't even opening on some of the crates.

Thanks! 100% on the driver and crates. We are struggling to find a driver, this gentleman agreed to do it after the first guy that started the season had to be let go. You had the edited version of the video… they must of had a rough night in the truck. They are great and I am glad they are driving for us this season.

Why send only hens?

@RFRP Look back on the results so far. My Pied did pretty well in the first two races, but keeps getting beat by hens. Today was the first race another cock beat him. I would guess that the hens have an advantage in being lighter weight and therefore don't have to work as hard.
