After all these years I still have yet to use S&Q for time-lapse. Looks pretty straightforward and legit. Definitely gonna try this one out. Thanks for the tip homie.
Thank you for the great video, it was exactly what i am looking for... i love the S&Q since you can easily balance and color it to your normal footage...
Glad it was helpful! This is the same reason why I prefer it for my videos too. If I’m just shooting a Timelapse I’ll do in camera photos but to cut into a video deff this way!
Shutter speed does NOT matter here. In fact we want MORE motion blur sometimes depending on how much movement we want in our timelapse. The slower the shutter the more motion blur with your movement. So something like a big crowd maybe want 1/5th or 1/8th of a sec to really accentuate the movement!
Just like any other stop motion video. You need to take individual pictures of each tiny movement and compile them into a video. There are a ton of tutorials on how to achieve it!
Does the Project Framerat affect the S&Q Framerate? Or is 1fps on S&Q always 1 fps in real time? because i need 20sec. Shutter Speed for Nighttimelapse
Hi Antthony , very compliment for your video . One question , I can't understand the difference in setting the timelapse between a gopro10 and the fx30, in the gopro I set the interval and speed, while in the fx30 only the framrate! Could you explain the difference to me? If I wanted to make a time lapse from night to day with the FX30, how should I set it? Thank you very much
Great question, reason being would be if you wanted to slow down or speed ramp at some point of the Timelapse. If you’re just playing back normally just run it at 24fps
I hate how it requires card over 200mbps to do this, even if you are only shooting 50mbps 4k 24fps. I normally do Timelapses on my C & D cams and don't want it to invest in v90's just for something this camera should be able to do. I once tricked my camera to do it with a 200mbps card, but I can't remember how I did it.
Always shooting in S&Q for Timelapse’s just makes life so easy and you can get a preview after your done to make sure it looks right. Great video
Totally agree! Appreciate you watching Paul!
You make it so easy bro. Thank you 🙏
Love to hear it bro! Thank you!
Thanks,excellent.
Thank you for checking it out
Thanks for the information!!! Greetings from Argentina.
Appreciate you checking out the video!

You have to try it out sometime!
This is my way too Jason 👍🏻 best cinematic greetings from germany 😉
Thank you for checking it out!
What if i want 1 Frame every 5-10min to shoot Plant growing timelapse?
Can definitely try it I’m just not sure what the rates they grow are. May need to be like 5-10 clips a day for a certain period of time tbh
@@ImJasonAnthony I bought an external intervalometer
@@europeanambience Have those too for these situation!
Thanks bro
Lmk how it goes!
This is the video I was looking for ❤
Stoked I was able to help!
“Pretty cool right” after showing me some of the knarliest time lapses I’ve ever seen 😂
Hahaha truly means a lot, guess as artists we always think our work is "okay" compared to others right haha! Thank you
Awesome tips! Should white balance be on manual?
Appreciate it! Yes you definitely want to lock in your white balance manually to prevent any color shift

THE GOAT
i have a nosy 6700 and it introduces "interval" on the S&Q, how should i use it if i want a quick but blured movement.
bro learned something new today and appreciate the info!
Glad to hear it! Literally the only goal here haha
Thanks homie
Thanks!
do you run slog3 for timelapses?
just love it..
Should the shutter speed not be set to half of the interval fps to get natural motion blur

Is there an actual time interval shooting setting on the fx3?

Subscribed dude good looking out on the info! Never did time lapse content but Its too creative to leave out
Do I need a Cf Express card to be able to record Timelapse ?
The FX30 cannot do motion blur in s&q mode, only manual mode allow for long shutter speeds
Is the final product 1 file?
It is and in slog3 if you set the picture profile properly for colorgrading the footage
I prefer to have the ability to edit the raw photos of a regular Timelapse.
Depending on what you’re doing with it I get it. For client work S&Q is a no brainer to match my video footage
If you seek perfection and unparalleled quality, yes. If you need to work quickly,, long live S&Q mode
Why use 60fps not use 24fps for timelapse

I agree with you there and you’d think by now cost of media would go down. SSD hard drives are more affordable than ever should be the same with SD’s
V60 is enough, btw
Thank you!
