Ok so there was actually a bit of info you didn’t mention after the last tweet. Wollay did an interview with kotaku in around may/june/july of 2017. I forget the exact date but if you care, you can do the research. Moving on: in the interview, wollay said he is currently a college teacher and (iirc) his wife runs a day care so when they said they were busy, they probably were. That aside, he also said he’s still working on the game and part of the reason it’s taking so long is because he doesn’t want to hire anyone else to do it. He and his wife want it to be a joint effort between just the two of them. Also, he took the game off the market mainly so people can’t suspect them of “running away with the money” and “fake promises about updates”. At this point, all we can do is be patient, keep our hopes up, and wait for the game to be released. I agree that he should update his fans though. At least once a month.
Imagine you wake up one day and CubeWorld got an update with years of development. That would be awesome. I was hyped before the release of CubeWorld and i'm still hyped. May our wish come true.
I only remember it from watching an old let's play video of it But for some reason I forgot the name of it and everything about it besides how it looks
True true I used to play this with my brother years ago. Both of us got older and forgot about the game. Sadly we can’t return because we forgot the info and can’t even find out how to get it
Poor guy. He and the missus probably didn’t know how to handle all the attention and couldn’t keep up with it. Edit: Nothing of importance to the original comment, but to those arguing in the replies: *_insulting other people does not make your case better._* If anything, it makes it worse because you come off as immature.
Wollay said he doesn't want to release an unfinished game, but they are definitely still working on it and they post on twitter about new features very infrequently.
Dude omfg same that vedio brings back so many memories. I still watch the yogscast sometimes j because they were the first channel I ever watched. But yeah hella nostalgic
Really enjoyed what little there was to CubeWorld. Gave up on the developers way before they gave up on their own game. The hours I put into it vs the amount I paid probably equates to me getting decent value for money tbf.
Hey, Robo. I just got your handwritten letter on Friday. I'm so glad the sorority was so successful in raising money for cancer research. When my mother was diagnosed with leukemia, after getting her breasts removed due to cancer, I was found to be the best match for a blood transfusion to receive filtered blood components. I sat in a chair with one of my arms hooked to a machine for several hours while I watched Season 1 of 'Stranger Things' on an Ipad. After the whole ordeal I felt incredible. She would sadly pass away from HUS the following January. Donating that money during your last stream made me feel good in away I haven't felt since the transfusion over two years ago. I'm glad I could help.
Game turned out to be shit once finally released, what an absolute tragedy. After all these years, the 2013 version is still the best one, or at the very least the one with the most potential. Oh, and after release the dev seems to have gone silent AGAIN.
@@deliberatelydead6195 - Which podcast episode are you talking about? Found their podcast on SoundCloud, but I do not have time to listen to all of it. If you have an episode and time to specify, it would be much appreciated.
Man... I loved Cube World so much. So simple, yet so engaging to launch, hop on a server and just "go on an adventure with your friends". Very few games actually deliver this nostalgic and simplistic gameplay. I wish a spiritual successor to this game was released and worked on, even if it's not a voxel. I just want a simplistic, cute, adventure RPG with no level scaling and multiplayer. Is that really too much to ask for?
The dream isn’t dead, go to the r/cube world discord. Wollay has posted a few updates there, apparently he doesn’t wanna sell a unfinished game and it’s still in production
If the devs are a married couple then one theory as to why they both went silent is did they split up? If you were working on a project with your partner and you had a bad breakup then I doubt either of you would want to continue working/even thinking about a project that only reminds you of your ex-partner. This is just an idea, I have no evidence to back this up but it would make sense to me if this was the real reason the updates stopped.
still a dick move to not talk about it. At least call it off or anything. I'd argue it's almost as bad as just taking the money and running. The game was like what, $30? And they just stopped developing it for no real reason? Either something serious came up with him, or he's a scumbag. And due to the amount of time it's taken? I'm gonna have to go with Scumbag. At least for now.
They did not stop developing it. He is developing it. The reason it's not in the store, is Wollay stated he'd feel like he was cheating people by continuing to sell an unfinished game. It's about how he feels about developing and selling, not how the angry fans feel. He doesn't want to risk his mental state just to deliver a product to fans who demand it. There's almost definitely nothing serious, and he's not a scumbag just because you say so. Grow up and learn that just because every other game being developed has constant updates and panels and reveals, this game doesn't have to.
It is definitely the exact same thing as taking the money and running. The game is unfinished, and the developers sold it under the illusion that it would receive updates and be completed. We aren't talking about a few months of no content. Or a year of no content. Or even 3 years of no content. But 5 straight years of nothing being added, fixed, removed, changed, or otherwise updated to this ALPHA title. People who defend crooks like this are no better than the thieves them selves. This sort of business practice, digital or otherwise, should not be condoned. I've had three children in the time frame of this games release with no updates and that is ABSURD to think about. Worse than this, Wolfram knowingly pops back on to twitter on rare occasions for brief periods of time to feed off the hype and popularity he receives from his loyal fan base that he gladly accepted money from back in 2013. Then he vanishes again. This is a person who cares neither about his own project or his consumer base. In the world of retail we would usually call this type of person a scam artist... but somehow the title of "early access" is apparently suppose to offer some sort of immunity to these crooks. I will never understand it. We aren't talking about the game not being released in 5 years. A long-term release is understandable given the size of the duo company. We are talking about not even BUG FIXES being released in 5 years; and there are plenty of critical bugs in cubeworld...
One thing I don’t understand is that why wouldn’t they hire a developing team to help with the game, it sold well and I think that would be a good investment...
Either they've cancelled development or want to release a complete game instead of one that is updated every 12-18 months, just holding back the full extent of the game's progress so it can be later released as an awe inspiring complete project. It's either the best or the worst.
Poor guy, didnt wanted to release his product, got forced by fans and now gets hated for releasing it. Idk. I bet he just works secretly now, cause hes tired of his own fanbase. Tbh I would be.
I mean he still made the active choice to release the game and take money from the fans, if anything this has just stopped me from ever buy a game before an official launch at this point.
he wasn't hated for releasing it, he was hated for vanishing for a long period of time, it is obvious he couldn't handle the attention such a big thing drew to him, so now he works mostly privately to avoid this, Cube world being a side project means that has income from elsewhere so he dosen't need to pump out periodic updates to keep the cash flowing, its obvious he dosen't want &/or need the money from this, but rather just enjoys working on it
He released a game and promised updates. He charged a decent amount for a sub par game, but people bought it because he promised all these updates. I've graduated from highschool and college since I bought the game. We all got scammed. He cashed in and dipped. If the game ever does come out (I'm sure he's in no rush after that easy cash grab) then it'll be a game of the past that very few will buy. Everyone needs to stop being in denial here
Well what else are we supposed to do if we wanna play the game? As soon as the store page becomes online, ill buy the game but until then ill pirate it. You can apply the logic of emulation here.
I believe that he might’ve had some sort of anxiety, and that the attention and support the game was getting was overwhelming them so much that they just decided to leave. Pretty sad that game was a lot of fun I beat it.
I miss CubeWorld I was a lvl 200 mage with an obsidian staff. Me and my family fell in love with this game and we all played together each and every day. I’m so sad that the game died.
At this point, i assume (especially with that name) you are just an internet troll. but i still want to ask , why is it a problem that his family fell in love with the game? :D
Yea i was kinda suprised i saw something about it in my recomended since i never watched anything about cube world on this account and i searched it up last year just because i was curius and got a video kinda similar to this one
Yeah Wollay has said multiple times that hes basically not releasing anything until he feels the game is complete. What I don't get is why he wouldn't just have updates like minecraft, where in you actually give updates to the people instead of tantalizing everyone.
If you do an updates-based system with two people, the time you spend fixing bugs created by updates will take away from the time to create new updates
kabukijo12 not necessarily. Most AAA titles have bugs after every update which are picked up because 100,000 people have greater chances of experiencing a bug by accident, or finding one by looking for it, than one person playing the game the way it was intended to be played
@@asdfreii AAA games have a bunch of people editing the same code which gives a much higher chance for bugs. Where as, 1 or 2 people editing code & checking it themselves would decrease the chance of bugs. Also he wouldn't give out updates until after they were tested & he knew they worked. *whispers* Wollay seems to be a bit of a perfectionist. *motions with hand* look at all these updates that may not be perfect & may need a little tweek in the future & even though this game is not complete, It seems pretty solid all around.. Is what i wish i could say
kabukijo12 on the flip side, a dev team of two means you’re limited to only their talent and knowledge, which increases the likelihood of bugs and decreases the possibility they’ll be found through Q&A and that the two devs will have the ability to fix them. That’s likely the reason nothing has happened, they’ve created an update which was too large for their abilities and don’t have the skills to fix the problems
Someday when I'm in my thirties this game will come out and I will once again save the lands with my best friend, running away crying at the overpowered bosses in the first region... And it will be absolutely glorious...
Nah, if you are already something like 18-20 years old, i have a feeling you will be in your late 70's by the time THIS game releases... Hell, im willing to bet that Half Life 3 would release sooner than Cube World. Its sad, but from what i have seen so far, its pretty much true.
@@camillecirrus3977 hl3 is technically being worked on. It called project borealis and it seems like it wont be like anarctic adventures or hunt down the freeman
Two things you need to know: 1) The meaning of the word compare. "It IS possible to compare Minecraft and Cubeworld." 2) Game development takes years, Minecraft took 2.5 years to reach release and is still in development. Skywind has been in development for 5 years and is not near to release yet. What probably happened was the dev released their passion project, their hobby, and people began expecting quicker updates than they could manage. Fans complained that they had paid for a game that was not getting updated as much as they wanted and so the dev removed the ability to pay for the game. Since then platforms like steam require indev games to manage expectations better by being upfront about the release schedule. People should not be so naive about games in development.
I'm sorry but you can't say skywind is coming out and be taken seriously that mod was released several times for both skyrim and oblivion and was taken down becaues it violates bethesda's copy rites, we are never gettting skywind
@@snag710 The skywind devs disagree with you. They still update every few months. But like I said, this is their hobby not their job, you have to manage your expectations. @OneFourFive Good point. Communication would have helped. I can only guess that the devs might not have wanted to keep the hype train going and disappoint again?
There's only one problem. It can be a hobby or whatever you want, but not a single update in 5 years is quite confusing. People who are creating projects liked by a whole community tend to communicate and update their projects whenever they can. I know a guy who started a J-RPG, he released a lot of demos for free and don't want to sell his game. It's been 8 or 9 years now, he takes time because he does that for himself, still he communicates and updates it pretty much often. Sure people are always expecting quicker updates than developers can really manage, but even the most wise fan cannot expect no update at all. I never saw developers dedicated to their game never communicate or update it unless they stopped to work on it because they don't like their poject anymore. They might be working on CubeWorld now, but they certainly stopped for a very long time (which is not a bad thing, they do whatever they like to do, but they should communicate).
But minecraft receives at the minimum monthly updates, and still has a very active player base. Cubeworld received next to no updates since 2014. The devs don't care anymore. If they did there would be public posts and updates. The game will never be finished. It's had 5 years for a voxel game, no voxel game needs 5 years of development.
@@shlabedeshlub3334 I think you can still DL it if you log onto your account on the site. It will have a DL link in the purchases section. I was a able to a couple of months ago.
I've seen alot in the comments. So, if a break up is the reason, that didn't stop Wollayfx, because he is still working on the game, if you look at his instagram. For the cashgrab theory, why closing the shop ? The theory that seems the more plausible to me is, they had a kid. Or they are in a difficult moment of their lives. The only thing I don't understand is that Wollay didn't launch at least a part of the work he has already done and shared on instagram.
I bought CubeWorld several years ago, his site hasn't been updated in several years but that doesn't mean the game is dead! last time I spoke to wollay (late 2016 or early 2017?) he said its still in the works.
@@OhhAspireHD what do you mean? This is a permanent invite last time i checked an it still works for me. Try it one more time and if it still doesn't work send me another message and I'll Make a new one.
I think throughout the "development" the devs kept it as nothing more then a side project. It was something they only worked on when they liked or had some spare time from their main jobs. Many people who dabble in the CS industry have these types of projects and its definitely not uncommon to drop these projects due to a focus being needed on the main work. In all honesty i think that's what happened to Cube World. The game was nothing but a side project and never evolved into a main project. It would explain the lack of updates, the release, and disappearance.
As far as I know it is a side project, and they had kids not too long ago (I don't know exact numbers), but yeah, tho I doubt that they just dropped it, I think they are taking a break again, at least that's my assumption, and regarding their attitude they will probably only release the completed game, also, let's not forget that we're talking about two people's side project, when dozens of people have a game of similar caliber as their main project and take 1-2 years to develop, I think it's safe to assume that the game will be in development for at least 2 more years.
They never had any other projects that were their main project...listen to the video. "Passion" project =/= "Side" project. Passion projects just tend to be more personal in scope or taste...side projects, like their Vector graphics software that they also apparently don't work on, are...well, it's a graphics program. You also don't leave a passion project as a toss-aside when you're taking in nearly a million dollars in sales...
I remember me and my friends being really sad when progress on the game slowed down and all together stopped. I had some fun experiences in this game tho.
This game received one update shortly after release. That was it. So progress died immediately after release. It genuinely is a shame. Edit: Sorry, two updates. One on July 5th 2013, and one on July 23rd 2013.
Yep, I was 12 when I bought it and am now about to move out of the house. Actually mind boggling whatever happened to it, could just be nostalgia but I remember thibking this is the best game since minecraft... Just for it to die.
What is strange to me, is how they removed the ability to buy it, to me this makes me think something happened irl and they had to abandon the project, but also that they are not just some scum that tried to make a quick buck. If they were just in it for money, why take down that option? People would still find it off of videos, new players would still buy it, and the community it has is still alive, so it really is a mystery
The guy was pressured into early release by the community and him and his wife didn't want to focus on infrequent updates with a dozen patches each, so they just ran damage control and have begun working on it at their own pace.
Kotaku had an interview with wollay back in 2015 on why the shop was closed. Wollay stated that it was because of changed EU tax laws that made it more difficult for small online shops to sell their games. I don't know if the interview is fake or not, but it's true that at the time wollay closed his shop there was indeed a change to the tax laws. You now have to charge VAT (Value added taxes) in the country of the buyer instead of the seller. Therefore you need to reimplement your shop to account for this significant change. (Because every country has different VAT) Therefore I find it a reasonable explanation why he choosed to close the shop at that time.
I don't remember where I heard this but apparently Wolfram is a perfectionist and so he didn't want to release it until the game was at its full potential but since he was pressured into releasing it early he felt obligated to release updates until he eventually buckled down and decided to do what he initially wanted to do
Cube world was always special. I remember conquering a crazy dungeon in that game... one of my first ever games. God, it was fun. I get this weird bittersweet anxious feeling thinking about it. It was so lonely, yet so fascinating.
It would be amazing to see someone/a company buy the rights to cubeworld and develop it to its fullest potential. They could even hire the current developers but giving them more possibility for expansion.
as much as I want this game to be finished I can't help but trust the current developers as they would probably only be able to keep their artistic freedom and integrity if they didn't let others in on the project
First video I'm looking at. I'm interested in the failures of Cube World (where, for all appearance, the developer took the bag and ran) and Yogsventures (a meme-vehicle that it's hard to restrain my contempt for, even without the consideration that it collapsed in on itself). But it's amusing to me that, when you said offhand "stupid generic Battle Royale game #7000 take off and become successful", the b-roll footage you used was of *Radical Heights,* which was the developer's literal death-rattle.
Guys I think they’re still updating the game because the last post on Steiger was July of 2017. Which may be almost 2 years from now, it’s pretty close to show they’re are still updating. Tbh I think they’re are gonna fully release it with once giant update and that’s why it hasn’t updated at all.
I understand them. I tried making a fan game for my favorite youtuber years ago, i posted screenshots of the game being made on gamejolt, then it started getting famous in 1 month, then i got really hyped but also i was really young, it was just me and i just didn't wanna do it afterall. I forgot about the fangame for a year then i just logged in my twitter and he tweeted at me "I am waiting", that scared me, after that i just finally dissapeared, it was just too scary and too much pressure for me. And if i did post the game, it would be a really shitty game, kinda thankful i didn't.
I'm on the publicity team of my robotics team, and I know from experience that it's exhausting to maintain public relations if you don't have an affinity for it. Some people seem to latch on to social media and find it easy to interact with people and compose posts, but for me, it's like a chore when I have to get it done, and there's always some social anxiety lingering around in my mind. This especially happens when I've gotten off the schedule of posts - once you've missed one or two, it gets harder to go back to it, not just because you've fallen out of the routine but also because of the anxiety that comes with making a new post. And this is only for me, running one social media account for a small robotics team with a handful of followers. As a game dev with an entire passionate fanbase, I can only imagine how much more difficult it'd be for him to make consistent updates, both regarding social media and the game itself, especially if he has other life stuff going on. I can't say that he's making the best decision to not update anything - but I can definitely understand why.
Sorry but I don’t agree with the “poor fans” part. The developers have no responsibility whatsoever. It’s their game, they can do (or not do) what they want. When you buy it you know it’s not finished, and there was/is no certainty that it’ll be finished/updated. It’s the players choice to buy it.
*The last time we heard of wollay was actually in August this year not in July 2017.* There are a few r/cubeworld Reddit users that got their E-Mails answered by wollay himself after wollays last tweet, he even included some screenshots in them. If anyone is interested in seeing those mails and the attached images just join the cubeworld discord and look into the #signs-of-wollay channel. discord.gg/cubeworld
There are two indie games I think deserve recognition lately I’ve been playing Robocraft and it’s amazing it makes the the boring old grind to level up from other games and makes it fun and it also has no pay to win mechanics also it’s beautiful in the combat mechanics with unique guns and strategies for each one The other game I’ve played is worldcraft a 2D sandbox with interesting art styles and many different creative tools to play with

Also, he took the game off the market mainly so people can’t suspect them of “running away with the money” and “fake promises about updates”. At this point, all we can do is be patient, keep our hopes up, and wait for the game to be released. I agree that he should update his fans though. At least once a month.

I've tried other games like it (Vox, Trove...) and they don't come close to the open-ended exploration fun I got from Cube World.
@@annikinlu3038 lol no the games dead

@@sielklavar He delivered what the people wanted, but yea dont buy anything till it fully release
he wasn't hated for releasing it, he was hated for vanishing for a long period of time, it is obvious he couldn't handle the attention such a big thing drew to him, so now he works mostly privately to avoid this, Cube world being a side project means that has income from elsewhere so he dosen't need to pump out periodic updates to keep the cash flowing, its obvious he dosen't want &/or need the money from this, but rather just enjoys working on it
He released a game and promised updates. He charged a decent amount for a sub par game, but people bought it because he promised all these updates.
@@asdfreii yeah but he updates the game for himself & to do that he has to make sure it can run. So that would mean he's fixing those bugs anyway.
kabukijo12 not necessarily.

@@camillecirrus3977 hl3 is technically being worked on. It called project borealis and it seems like it wont be like anarctic adventures or hunt down the freeman
Well, the game was released for real now and he's disappeared again. Maybe this is the final chapter.
Two things you need to know:
1) The meaning of the word compare. "It IS possible to compare Minecraft and Cubeworld."
2) Game development takes years, Minecraft took 2.5 years to reach release and is still in development.
I'm sorry but you can't say skywind is coming out and be taken seriously that mod was released several times for both skyrim and oblivion and was taken down becaues it violates
bethesda's copy rites, we are never gettting skywind
Minecraft took 2.5 years to introduce a hunger system
I actually have this game still on my computer. It’s a nice game to wind down to.

@@cheburekman696 Still worked for me. Are you sure it doesn't work?
I think throughout the "development" the devs kept it as nothing more then a side project. It was something they only worked on when they liked or had some spare time from their main jobs. Many people who dabble in the CS industry have these types of projects and its definitely not uncommon to drop these projects due to a focus being needed on the main work. In all honesty i think that's what happened to Cube World. The game was nothing but a side project and never evolved into a main project. It would explain the lack of updates, the release, and disappearance.
arthos4551 Well, it was big enough to be a main project. The game was pretty big
@@shroomboy475 it was. But they decided to focus elsewhere.
maybe in 20 years when their kids move out they'll pick up where they left off
They never had any other projects that were their main project...listen to the video.

Juicy it will revive someday, have faith
What is strange to me, is how they removed the ability to buy it, to me this makes me think something happened irl and they had to abandon the project, but also that they are not just some scum that tried to make a quick buck. If they were just in it for money, why take down that option? People would still find it off of videos, new players would still buy it, and the community it has is still alive, so it really is a mystery
I'm sure he said that the game was released too early and didn't want people to play an unfinished game
(Because every country has different VAT)
Therefore I find it a reasonable explanation why he choosed to close the shop at that time.
I think the developers specifically said they didn't want more people on the team.
I mean if the company is just supporting them then sure but it should only be the current developers making it.
Just pleeeeeease don't be EA or 2K... I don't wanna see a good game meet a fate like Popcap...

actually, it isn't undownloadable. i feel that it is ethnically okay to pirate the game, since it isn't purchaseable currently.

Nonetheless I WANT THIS GAME
It’s here. It’s going to release finaly!!!
I have a feeling the developers were REALLY shy and weren’t expecting the attention

As far as I know the game is still actually playable, I think I still have a copy of CubeWorld on my computer even.
Check the website out. It's abandoned, yet still up. The game isn't available for purchase.
I'm glad I bought my copy while it was still on the store, even if I dont play it currently
So many of us are still waiting. I don't even own it but I'm looking forward to it
*The last time we heard of wollay was actually in August this year not in July 2017.*
There are a few r/cubeworld Reddit users that got their E-Mails answered by wollay himself after wollays last tweet, he even included some screenshots in them.
If anyone is interested in seeing those mails and the attached images just join the cubeworld discord and look into the #signs-of-wollay channel. discord.gg/cubeworld
Just thought I'd check the comments before I mentioned this myself. More people need to see this, just to know that there's still hope.

Invite expired my guy
More news! That's good, preach!
Yeah the invite expired man
I remember this games i loved it but i forgot about it until now and i will need to thank you for this
There are two indie games I think deserve recognition lately I’ve been playing Robocraft and it’s amazing it makes the the boring old grind to level up from other games and makes it fun and it also has no pay to win mechanics also it’s beautiful in the combat mechanics with unique guns and strategies for each one
The other game I’ve played is worldcraft a 2D sandbox with interesting art styles and many different creative tools to play with
When I saw this video in my “recommended videos” section I got a blast from the past. While I do not own the game myself, I remember seeing so many youtubers playing this game and I fell in love with it. I wanted to buy the game after the next update.. but unfortunately it still has not happened. I even forgot about this game, despite me loving it. If it were not for this video, I would still have forgotten it. I doubt they will update it or release it, but we shall see.
How to play cubeworld:
Buy the game.
Don’t install it.
Pirate the latest pre-release version available.
Enjoy the best version the game, guilt free.
Wow I actually remembered playing this game when my dad bought it for me and playing the ninja class now I wish I could play it now
Swaggersouls got the game back into development
Even though I didn't had the chance to play the game, I loved it and I hope it will come back...
TheWaffle 27 Dude theres a file sharing website where someone pirated the 2013 files
just for anyone watching this in 2019, the dev posted some new screenshots on twitter a few hours ago. seems like hes back
Kinda forgot about your channel... Sorry Robo. Kinda missed you...
Glad your back 👍
After watching this it kinda reminds me of pixel ark
U know... That blocky ARK game with dinos... Yeah its a fun game.
Don't buy it tho... Doesn't last long
I bet next update is just gonna be screenshot of SAO with caption 'working on making Cubeworld compatible with this new technology :) '
considering how much of a perfectionist he is as soon as the tech is available that might be closer to reality than you think.
Got cubeworld a few days after it was released and stopped playing it because of school. I had no clue that you couldn't get it anymore and that there was such a huge following! Makes me happy to hear that because the game was actually really fun
Damn the nostalgia
your profile pic is true nostalgia
You can’t blame the devs, they’re not experienced nor prepared too deal with an overwhelming fan base.
There was only just 2 people by the way.
@@feelinit64 it isnt about the fanbase, they could have ignored the fans and nobody would care as long as they would update the game. They didn't. They said they were working on the game, but they have nothing to show for it these last 5 years except some screenshots and videos. Meanwhile they made the whole freaking game so far in less time ( from 2011 to 2013 ).
They have made promises, but here we are 5 years later. What is the point of releasing an alpha if they weren't going to update it?
He's still working on the game. He replies to emails occasionally with small teasers and updates of what he's been working on. I have every confidence the game will eventually come out. He's just trying to make sure it's perfect
I dont remember subbing to this channel, WTF?!
Idk, you might have accidentally subbed to this, while watching an unturned video or something
(Its a great channel give it a try lmao)
but is it a good channel??
Same bro. I actually liked this video but i dont remember subscribing to this channel
Same haha, liked The video tho. Bought The game 7 years ago
cocaine is a hell of a drug
oh god... i remember cube world, 10 FPS lowest settings on my shitty pc, days maybe weeks, or months spent on this game... and i enjoyed every second
Same, my older brother got it me when I was younger. My crap pc wouldn’t even do 2fps, but I loved the game even if my shitty windows 7 couldn’t handle it.
Cube world is still being produced, Wollay just stopped selling the game in alpha bc people were complaining about lack of updates. Wollay occasionally reaches out to the community with little sneak peaks of his progress. Check out the cube world discord, theres a whole channel for it.
I want to go back to before the full game launched...
Cube World Discord has proof of them still working on it. You just didn't look there lol.

I checked out one of the discords, and all it shows is an email that was replied to by Wolfram. Tbh, I'm not sure if I can even trust it since it's pretty easy to fake an email... Discord I'm in is discord.gg/RqQcJck
@@liamv1655 ye might be fake. Only time will tell 😭
this is the alternate universe where cube world was never released
edit: there's actually been tweets as recent as january 26 2019
Man, your voice is amazing. I'ts so chill and deep... i just subscribed because of your voice and quiet videos. Keep up the good work sir!!
deep???????????????????
yeah how is it deep?
It's not deep
FreeYolow 0-0 deep?
Come on guys, this kid is probably ten, the dude sounds deep voiced to him.
I literally thought trove and this game were the same game
This is one of the game we never forget about. I bet we will still remember it in 20 years.
I wish golf story was more popular, at least reach shovel knight levels of popularity, its no masterpiece but its a damn good game
I got an "Get cube world for free" ad. LOL! I don't think the scammers know the game is off the market.
It’s back baby
Thankfully we now have Hytale being made!
I'm very skeptical baout it though. Hypixel is a cancerous minecraft server and seem to have an agenda. It also looks like it will have very little mod support
I got fucking excited when I saw the title and thumbnail about this vid recently played cubeworld like 2 months ago also! :D (and theres still people playing which shocks me)
Kiddo Where is the download link?!
If you search up Cubeworld by Darku theres a video showing you how to download it heres the link btw: www.mediafire.com/file/6glc9yhn7ms97f3/Cube+World%2C+free.rar
@@kiddo6327 If this works. You're a bloody god. Oh, and Darku... I guess... :P
One of the many games I didn't have money for when it came out, and when I did, it was gone. If it does make a come back, I'll sit back and watch from a distance to see if it survives instead of dying all over again before I commit money to a potential failure.
September 30: Looks like that the game is (currently) trash
I just hope it's just not another FF15 situation were we wait a decade for a game that feels incomplete
@8-bit pepe I'm not wishing for it to be incomplete I'm just hoping it isn't incomplete when it comes out again.Seriously read the comment and understand the meaning of it first b4 u reply
@Haze I know,it just this game doesn't look like it's coming out any time soon I just don't want it to be like FFXV where we have waited so long and get a game that isn't worth it.Btw didn't development start on this game in 2013 it's been almost 6 yrs and I want those 6 yrs of waiting to pay off
I remember being one of those hyped people way back then. I still try and find out what I can even today about Cube World after so many years. The hope is still alive.
really great video on cube world. I'm not a sub but definitely liked the video, this popped up in my reccomended.
Video was flawless untill the sponser... was kinda an awkward out of nowhere ending felt like video could've been 5 min longer
Sponsors are fine as long as it's only mentioned at the end or beginning of the video.
But it felt like the video was unfinished is what im saying
@@cookiecow3900 just like the game
there wasn't anything else to say
Yeah i mean talking about something unfinished can lead yourself to sounding unfinished. Because there isn't any info from the devs or even a game to play really.
