I really enjoy watching your perfectionism. I'm a 26yr retired commercial airplane structure mechanic. When we fasten two pieces of metal together that requires a fay surface seal we must have 100% coverage on both surfaces and after clamping or fastening and have100% void free squeeze out. Ps I'm also a woodworker.

I have been watching you work for a loooong time, and following your methods and ideas, I decided to finally replace the neck on my 1959 Hofner 4450.
The heel has a square form without any dovetail, so I recut it into a dovetail and fitted it with shims in the way you do, result....Amazing, I can swing the guitar around by the neck and it doesn't move one thou...and this is before gluing!
Thank you for your detailed methods in everything you do, which in turn gave me confidence to repair my own guitar. AAA++++

It wasn't easy, but you came out on top turning your friend Leon's guitar from a wall hanger to a top draw instrument that he can be proud of.
You excelled in all three major tasks which proves you are the best there is. Even to fixing a factory flub in the bridge that was CF Martin's fault to begin with.
Once again I take my hat off to you. You never, never fail to satisfy me Mr. Rosa, NEVER!!

Wonderful job, again, Jerry! I did a trade last week.... trading my 2002 "10" series PRS Santana III Electric guitar, which is an amazing powerhouse of an electric guitar I put up for sale due to my back not being able to handle a 9lb plus guitar hanging on my shoulder. for TWO nice acoustic guitars, a 2021 Martin 000-28 HD in the case, and a 2015 Epiphone Hummingbird Artist Series Custom Acoustic, and some cash on top... So, figuring the PRS was worth around $3500 plus, and a new Martin 00028 is going for $3200 give or take, and the Hummingbird worth around $800 to $900 and the cash, I did a decent trade. Now for the good part... When I played the Martin here in my studio. I was not impressed at all. I told my trade partner that either the neck is not set properly, or it's just that the action was too high, seriously high, and needed a truss rod adjustment. I would need to adjust the neck before completing the deal of the trade. So..... I took the "12's" off. (I just hate 12's) and switched strings out for 10's. Light guage. Turned the truss rod nut back to loosen things up first and began to bring it back down, tightening it up. I like very low action for my fingerstyle playing. Which I do a ton of. I actually take a guitar pick I use to set it on the 12th fret and bring the action down to just above that pick! When I did , and checked the intonation all the way up the neck, it was PERFECT! I played a few tunes on the guitar and just fell in love with it. WOW!! I have played dozens of Martins... I live 20 minutes from The Martin Factory in Nazareth. This plays as good if not better than 95% of those I've played the past 40 years! LOL. I follow your videos for years now, and I believe we have had a couple of conversations over the years on a few questions I had on resetting necks for a few old Gretsch Archtops I restored. Due to your videos, i learned some tricks on how to get into doing these set ups on these high end acoustics, so I thank you for those. Showing how to keep your cool and take the good with the bad in stride. Now that darn Martin 000-28 is going to be my go-to guitar for quite awhile... hanging up the SJ200 for a spell.
    Thank you, Jerry ...... Peter

I was thinking the same thing. Then I began to think how Jerry must work on all the instruments for his band and other fellow musicians in his neck of the woods - and how many of us would like to see and hear them play together and individually demo their instruments that Jerry has worked on.
That's just a vision I had. Probably never happen, but I'd money to see that, and buy that DVD. Jerry is simply a genius.

That guitar looks and sounds like new or better. Jerry I got to hand it to you, you can't tell the neck was ever off, the new bridge looks fantastic and covers up where it was messed up. That spit shine has made the finish way glossy. That is a good wax for sure. Your friend is going to be tickled when he gets the guitar back. That is one of the best HD 28's out there.
