Hello Stu hope you’re well. I was wondering what type of brickwork you did for the top layer for this wall, as I was thinking it was soldiers but when doing a soldier course the bricks are laid basically standing up where as with this type the bricks are laid on it’s side, hope you can help thanks 😊
Was this in uphollond? I drove past with my apprentice going the co-op up the road from it and seen it being built and told him that was nice brickwork.

cheesr john although the bricks are terrible and different sizes so i just laid them to the face side, you will see more on the rest of the wall.

Do you have to level the foundation first to make it flat and even, or can you build a brick wall or structure on uneven ground?

Try brushing reclaim bricks without using any type of pointing tool. Use a horse hair brush. Much better

Didn’t know a laser could go round a curve on the first two courses?
For the header course, how come you don't just lay a full brick and let it bond across the inner to outer leaf?
