If I won the Lottery, this is exactly what I would buy - a lake like Nuddock Wood, with a house onsite, anglers lodge with all mod cons, power & wifi/Ethernet points in every swim, unhooking mats/landing nets/slings etc in every swim (along with scales on a welded loop & weigh station), quad & trailer facilities to drop anglers & tackle to the swims, have a couple of swims with properly built cabins there for family’s or those that want a bit of luxury, etc. Obviously the price is high for the fishery exclusive bookings but the facilities & fish etc don’t come cheap to install/maintain, but you can see how much hard work has been put into the fishery by the owner. Every anglers dream tbh.
Simple the best lake I've fish in the UK. I was lucky enough to fished here after winning a charity competition and would to go back anytime i could all I need is 9 friends available at the same time. that could be difficult. Rick has build a Carp fishing dream, the pegs are top class, the fish are so well looked after and the lodge you have to see it to believe it.at this price its a snip....

I Don't want to sound thick!! But can you pitch your Bivvy on the pegs? It is lovely having the lodge and all the facility's but I like to leave my rods out at night (Seem to catch my best fish then) and I don't see how you can do that if your in the lodge and your on Peg 9, 10, 11 or whatever and your alarm goes off!! unless you can get out of bed and cover 300 to 900 yards or more in less than 9.1 seconds what do you do? and if that's the case I really don't see the point in having a lodge!! If I wanted to watch football or a good film or whatever I would have stayed at home and not spent a fortune on a weeks fishing trip!! Do you see what I mean and what my point is?? Hey Other than that the place looks Amazing 👍
That is not carp fishing. That’s the gentrification of fishing. CCTV in every room! Oh lovely n safe. Not pervy at all. Basically the premier league. No room for proper fans.

Seriously when you say "we may think that having around 180 to 200 fish in a 8 and a half acre lake is a lot" you obviously think we are all idiots or you are getting paid to say that!! (or you don't get around much!!) just one of Many, Many examples I can give you is Ladywood lakes in Mirfield. (Which is in Yorkshire) They have two Lakes. One is slightly larger than Nuddock at 10 acres BUT has OVER 500 Carp and they go up to 46lb!! The small lake at 2 and a half acres has OVER 700 Carp in it and they go up to 26lb!! So NO we don't think 180 to 200 Carp is a lot for an 8 and a half acre lake!! Especially when the average Carp is only in the 30lb bracket!! Also the reason people go to France is they can Catch Carp where the average size is well over 45lb, they have almost guaranteed weather from May onwards and can get a lake exclusive for less than half the price of what Nuddock Lakes are charging for a lodge or a small wooden pod (which by the way I have just done) So I guess until (as one of the other comments mentioned) I win the lottery!! I will continue to go to France or many other venues in England for a fraction of the price that Nuddock charges & continue to catch much larger fish and many more of them and If I want to watch T.V. I will just take my iPad!! Tight Lines 🐟🐟🐟
