Sorry I’m late getting this one up! Lori & I are traveling to Montreal for the Honda Civic Hybrid drive. Our first flight was delayed due to mechanical issues and we almost missed our connection! We appreciate each and every one of you!
Hi Joe, I love the new 2024 Chevy Blazer & like I said, & I am going to reiterate, I love the fake vents I think it gives it style as to a just plain & boring white corners of the bumper.
" ... because without that stupid third row ..." LMAO You nailed it, Joe. Not everyone wants a third row in a (larger) midsize crossover. Folding it down is not the answer as the seat takes up too much space and forces engineers to design around it. Captain's chairs are USELESS as well.
Just seen a brand new Chevy Traverse in the mall parking lot a few days ago. Yes. Yes. Yes. It looks nice as hell. Head turner. GM is killing it. You know how many buyers are buying the new GMC Denali. Look in your area. You'll see Buyers buying GM and Chevy
@@SiriasisOFFICIAL I don't know where you are, I am in the US market and more and more buyers here need a 3 row midsize SUV and makes it very popular and competitive segment here.
The Blazers are amazing vehicles. I always tell my husband that his Blazer is the perfect sized car. It is very spacious without being overly large and inconvenient.
I’m Lexus / Toyota owner , but let me tell you something that the Blazer and the Trail Blazer are absolutely great SUV’s !! I love them so much that they’re on my favorite list of best SUV’s .
I like what Chevy is doing with styling and design. I believe that N/A V6 will hold up over time. If I bought one of these I would definitely throw after market Air intake and exhaust on it. Wake that V6 up a little bit. Nice SUV but I would probably choose the CX-70 over both MDX and the Blazer. ☮️
My wife cross shopped this and the Acura, she ended up with this and loves it. The infotainment system in Acura is terrible, and we didn't find the seats as nice as the blazer.
@@taylorrobinson25MDX is 70k- has black plastic wheel fenders on the Aspec-Advance, shiny black plastic and very little storage inside, too much real estate occupied by the drive mode selector, no digital rearview, no third row vents… I would argue both are overpriced. 😂😂😂
Nice looking, Blazer. I'm glad they're not trying to make it into a 3 row mid-sized suv. The Blazer would look good in the Dark Ash Metallic that Chevy has.
I kind of like this Blazer except its pricy for what you get and a few things (most you pointed out) and that is the black plastic cladding around the wheel wells as this one is not for off road and should be painted and it being a redline package they also missed out not having any red trim bits or red stitching in the interior (plain jane white/ whats up with that ?) and old gold chevy emblem on the steering wheel and for the $46k price they should have had some options added like ventilated seating and fog lights or a HUD. I'm waiting to see you drive the new Buick Envision ! I rate this Blazer a swing and miss for all the missing things on a pkge you pay for . Thanks Joe and Steven for the great review and video work !
I had a 77 Blazer K5,, 350ci manual, removable cap, just a primitive beast, that could really off road with Rancho shocks and Goodrich TA tires,,, this 24 “ Blazer is not that truck, a betrayal of the name Blazer,
I had ICE Blazer park next to my fully Loaded 9 speed 2.0 Turbo Equinox and there is no difference in size. I believe the blazer was a bit shorter in height. Shocking, for extra money, why? IMO the Blazer should be taller than Equinox, be a mini Traverse. I love the new Equinox Activ trim.
I got the black red line-Bose and towing package. Long story short - eff'n awesome ride! Smooth, quick, and quiet. The first passenger comment I received was, "Nice factory stereo!" (And she's a bit of an audiophile). I just got schooled in how to detail a new car. Clay? WTF? Okay, I get it (sorta). Sitting on the lot exposed to the elements for a few months, I didn't know how or if I could ever get rid of the rain spots. The short answer is "yes," you need to clay your brand new car. So many detailing products - so much money. But! If anyone wants to know what has been working for me, give me a smiley, and I will share. If you gotz a black car I can recommend....
Just took home a 2014 Ford Edge Limited Raiti...Omg..Literally smoother and more refined than new Toyota Honda or Hyundai I Uber in. Wow. And the newer Ford Edges blew my mind too. The Asian brands can't match American refinement. I was like I can't feel any bumps. Transmission was so smooth it was hardly noticeable. Why do ppl gush over Asian brands.
Hey Joe, do you think that it was possible at all for GM to tap in some of those 80s and early 90s exhaust Engineers to give that thing a little bit of a performance burble to the Blazer?? Even the Lumina and Beretta sounded a lot better than that thing does.
@@RaitisRides They use the same 3.6 in the Camaro, and they have a performance "burble" and 335 hp. Probably via their less restrictive exhaust system . If the Blazer is like my XT5 with the 3.6 V6, the exhaust has 2 catalytic converters funneled through a single muffler, single mid-pipe, then though a 2nd muffler before splitting to twin exhaust tips. Engineers designed the Blazer and XT5 to be this way. The v6 Camaro has dual mid pipes and perhaps less restrictive mufflers as well.

So is the only thing you get with the red line package is accent color on a few exterior trim pieces and no other changes from a non-redline model???? Also I think this would be cross shopped with VW Atlas, Kia Sorrento and Hyundai Santa Fe more so than an Acura MDX.
I wouldnt buy one due to questionable reliability, but I did have one as a rental a few years ago for 2-3 months and I was a big fan. Surprisingly quick, comfortable, efficient, and engaging to drive for what it was. Only downside was very weak headlights especially for being LEDs (mightve been improved for 2024) and super glitchy infotainment - apple carplay rarely connected.
I agree with you not buying one for reliability issues. These are like Cadillacs which they look great and fun to drive for about 4 years. If you plan to keep it longer than 4 years then its no fun once that warranty expires. These are cars you lease, not buy. You buy a 4runner you lease a Chevy.
Redline edition with no red is interesting. Personally, not a fan of red so it wouldn’t bother me! I agree the backend looks strange. Needs an interior update IMO but otherwise a decent option in the 2-row class.
Great information, thanks! I just bought a redline in Sterling Gray. Mine doesn't have the red trim stripe on the mirror, which I like from your video. Might have to add this myself.
I own a 2020 redline edition and its a great vehicle. Great ride comfort, acceleration but the only thing I hate is the teenage safety thing where the blue tooth turns down your volume on your Iphone while in car. Like the video but not the car. With the. Blazer EV having the new infotainment system they really should have updated this 2024 to bring it up to speed with the rest of the lineup. I bought the Blazer EV simply because I fell in love with the new bold interior
Can't believe some dealers put their sticker or badge on the paint. How much are they paying the buyers for the free advertising? I would only accept their license plate frame, unless they want to pay me monthly. Very sharp car though!
At that price point, throw some ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, an a/c command center for the second row.. or something idk… this vehicle should be in the mid to high 30s… while there is a panoramic sunroof, the interior isn’t gleaming 46k….. but what do I know lol
