I love the dress. I feel like this artist shows a lot more skin in his stepbacks.
I hadn't thought of that, Linda, but you're right!
I do love the colours in this one with the yellow/gold dress and the grass and flowers. Plus she is giving quite the sultry gaze! Look at you knowing your flowers 👏🥇
I would like to accept this award and thank all of the people who have gotten me to this point. 🤣 Thank you, Megan, for that, and for your insightful comment! 😃
@@mamaneedstoreadromance lol i was pleased to present the award (even though I gave 0 help with flowers 🤷♀️)
I love this artwork 😍
I'm so glad, Albi! 😃
Omg yes I love this stepback, it's gorgeous! Definitely in my own top 42 of the ones I own!
Oh yay! I love that!! 😍
Beautiful stepback. And I love how you respected the Lakota ❤😊 Thankbyou.
Impaitiently waitingfir more Lisa Kleypas & Tessa Dare.
But, I think , the longer we have to wait, the higher up they are. ❤😊
Thanks so much, Cathie! I'm always happy for a new Kleypas or Dare! Fingers crossed that maybe 2025 will be the year! 🥳
🌻🏆 Nailed the flowers.
"I would like to thank people like Merry, who always helped me with flower identification." Thank you for the award! 🤣
My favorite historical westerns are the Texas trilogy by Lorraine Heath, gave all of them 5 stars. In the first one Texas Destiny, Dallas sends his brother pick up his mail order bride in Fort Worth and escort her on the three week journey to his ranch.
I love that series too! The only historical westerns I've read are from Lorraine Heath. It's not a subgenre that I like but she makes it work!
I need to read those! I haven't read nearly enough Lorraine Heath, and if there are any westerns I'd consider, it would be hers! 😃
I love it, Megan! I think I'll read those too, especially after what Merry said!
@@mamaneedstoreadromance yes Bea! Start with Texas Destiny
@@megansbooknook519 Yay!!! Added to my TBR!!
So much drama in this one!🤠
Truly!! 😍
Waouh Bea I am so impressed you know the name of the flowers !! and I didn't even know French gave a name to an Indian tribe ! And the hair !! OMG the hair !!
You're too kind, Amena! I only know those flowers because they're some of the most basic ones around. Yes, I didn't know about the French giving a name to the Lakota until I started teaching it. History is so fascinating! I find it interesting that the French word for them caught on more than their name for themselves. I think they were fur trappers in the area? I'd have to do more research, but I love learning about things like that. 🥳
@@mamaneedstoreadromance You're right Bea, History is amazing!
Zippers didn’t exist when the romance is supposed to take place! 😂
I'm SURE you're right! 😂
Heather Graham is the one who got me into romance novels, beyond only reading Nora Robert’s, and am I ever glad! She is INCREDIBLE!!! Can’t wait to read this intriguing book!!! (So you taught French?)
I did NOT teach French! I wish!! I taught first and second grade. We did a little Spanish during our Mexico unit, but that was it in the language department. 🤣
I'm interested in the Native American information as I have to admit to being completely clueless as to where they are each based and the correct names to address any of these peoples.❤ I think you are right on the leather pants; it looks like he has been poured into them 😅. I have a dogwood in my garden, and I wouldn't have recognised the flowers without you stating what they were!🤦🏻♀️😂
I love learning about Native peoples! Such a rich history. I laughed so hard about your comment about his being poured into his pants! 🤣 I'm so glad you confirmed that they were dogwood flowers. 😃
Ian McShane? That's the (late) actor who played Lovejoy and then Al Swearengen on Deadwood. Perhaps the zipper is a hint to more time-travel shenanijinx? Or maybe it's a Westworld deal? Not sure I'm sold on reading it to find out, tho. 🦮🪵 &🌻
Oh my gosh, that's such a crazy thought about Westworld, considering the zipper!! 🤯 I love the actor you mentioned, too. Fun! 🤩
This step back has a couple of problems (modern zippers were first used around 1917 and this is a post civil war story). I'd like to know how this ends! Ann and Ian against the evil land baron Cash. All the local colorful characters that make up this western community in the late 1800. (Oh the story is in Colorado and the G Canyon is in Arizona. Friend took a trip there this summer.) 😎📚
As usual, I am ridiculously grateful for your comment! You teach us all!! Thank you so much. 🥳
