I heard Madonna for the 1st time in 1983-1984, my senior year in high school. It was a bootleg cassette! My heart was never the same. I'm sure she will never see this but I just want to say it anyway. Thank You So Very Much for all of the magical fun times me and my BFF and my sisters had walking on the beach or riding our beach cruisers singing every single song on repeat. Thank you for teaching us how to express ourselves through singing and esp through dancing and giving us an outlet for all the crazy girl energy we needed to get out. Thank you for showing us how much fun you can have dressing up and down and taking pictures of all of it. You inspired us to be strong sexy and smart just because we are! You helped us understand that we weren't doing anything wrong. That we can be all of those things and have amazing careers. She taught us that we can be all of those things without it ending up in in bed. She taught us to put on our sexy miniskirts with our Doc Martens and kick the misogynistic assholes to the curb! And idk about anyone reading this but I personally never heard she was an alcoholic or drug addict, never accused of using her power or money to treat people like shit. Just no over pampered egotistical whiny baby bratty bullshit. I have, however, heard many stories about how hard she works and how much she has accomplished. You are a true superstar and I've been a fan since the very 1st time I heard your Madonna album. You rock!!!
