does 550e turn design automatically to left ? most of software point design toward left

can you tell me how to get files from online then put it in your stick
Hi Cindy, once you have the embroidery design file (for example from creative fabrica) You put your flash drive in your computer then open the embf folder on your flash drive. Then make sure you are only dragging the file format for machine onto your flash drive. I hope this helps. I will be creating a video soon on how I do this also.

Picking up my new 550e tomorrow, and wanted to learn about how to get patterns. No worries, I can check out other videos. I'm a senior person and didn't grow up or work with computers. I completely understand that my video isn’t taking into consideration someone who isn’t use to the technology. I will try my very best to redo the video and get it out this weekend and one about loading designs. In the meantime do check out other videos although there aren’t many out there for the Janome 550e.

Hi @@vivianharwood1123 , thank you for your feedback. Apologies if you found it confusing, my goal is to share what I’ve learnt and help others and so your feedback is greatly appreciated.
As for the extra USB extension cable - that cable goes into the USB port in your machine and then you plug your USB flash drive / stick into that USB extension cable . You can put your USB flash drive / stick into the machine before you turn on your machine. I hope this helps, please let me know if I can help with anything else.
so basically i cant just format i have to save something first........makes no sense
Hi Elizabeth. I have tried “just formatting “ and it didn’t work. So I found this way actually works. If you find or have a simpler way of formatting the ubs, please share - it would really save me the hassle of saving something first.

You don’t necessarily need software or a computer. It depends on what you want to embroiderer. There are many preloaded designs and font on the machine already, so you can start with that. I hope this is helpful.
