This song fits Cid very well. Instead of trying to smother the flames or fight fire with fire. He's feeding it. His solution to dealing with the Cult of Diabulos is to feed into anarchy. He doesn't care about collateral damage. What he's trying to do force the Cult to collapse in on itself. And honestly, he's tactic is actually working. With all the chaos he's causing, the cult is starting to panic and play right into his hands.
But, Cid doesn't know that the cult actually exists. When he first mentioned it to Alpha, he completely made it up based on objects around the room he was in along with a story book he had. Eventually when Alpha and a couple other members they deemed it necessary to expand Shadow Garden to combat the cult better, Cid read the action as them figuring out the "truth" and decided to leave him, but disguised it in a way to not hurt his feelings. And when the 7 other members of shadow garden took turns looking after Cid when he was attending the Dark Knight's Academy he thought they were just thanking him by playing along with his game. But, often time he believes he is just fighting random bandits, he even calls them bandits on multiple occasions. Sorry for correcting, I personally would prefer he knew the Cult was real, considering he really is committed terrorist level mayhem like when he nuked a city the first time.
@@kratkartan1486 that is the part that sucks, because you are right, they do it all the time and half the time he isn't there and the other half he doesn't listen. There hasn't been a single line of internal dialog or actual dialog where he acknowledges their existence. It's even worse cause when shadow garden also informs him of their activities he just doesn't listen and continues passing it off as they are role playing for his sake, which I wish I could say he was just lying, but whenever he says it its internal dialog so there isn't anyone he could be lying to when he says it.

What I had said does still stand, as he's at the very least aware that there is corruption within the kingdom and is using anarchy to flush it out.
Not gunna lie, I had my doubts in the early episodes of this anime but that fight sequence was top tier and the story really evolved by leaps and bounds in the second half. Really cleverly made by both the story creator, producers and animators. Still dunno if Cid will turn out to be the ultimate last boss or the last minute hero of the galaxy though. Could really go either way still. Though he's certainly setting himself up as the devil himself. Think deep down he wants to fight the ultimate opponent though and will do literally anything to do it.
He’s not out to save anything but the way things are he’ll be both, this will be a little spoiler if you’ve never watched it but it seems the only person he actually shown to care about their situation for is the devil herself. The witch he saved, and because she is seen as evil even though she kind of isn’t, he himself will be seen as evil and at the same time saving everyone in the process, I bet it will be something like that

So if the bomb that was used was outdated and they used it instead of scrapping it the money is insignificant. And if what yall are talking about occurred in the 50s/60s then it is highly likely that they would have used one that was outdated since nuclear tech was progressing extremely rapidly during the cold war
