From those of us who call the Black Hills home like my family, there is so much more to it than you can even dream of. The healing place is what it is in all truth, no matter what problems you may have in your life they will melt away day by day if your open to it and let the magic of this special place help you. We who live here and make our living in the Hills welcome visitors every year, some don't understand what is here and breeze through while so engulfed by their cell phones or laptop world they never let the Hills in to do what it does, I'm a logger who grew up here and now has raised my family here and no matter where we have been there is no place on earth that has the effect on people like here. Glad you enjoyed your visit. We live in the National Forest about half way between Custer and Hill City on our own piece of heaven on earth, my wife Works in the Park, our Kids are grown now, one works for US Fish and Wildlife and the other for the US Forest Service but both within a few minutes drive of home.....this is the effect it's had on their lives also. When Visiting the Black Hills all we ask is to remember this is our home and we protect it jealously, all we ask of visitors is to respect what is here and to remember....while it's here for all to enjoy....good people do live here and call this special place home. Hope you come back someday !
Excellent video!!! F.Y.I. Sylvan Lake on the Needles Highway is where they filmed National Treasures "Book of Secrets ". That road is very Sacred and special. Beautiful. Hope you can take Flyboy next time. NFTB.
Benjamin I spent 28 wonderfully exciting years with my husband riding motorcycles behind him. Trusted him with my life and don't regret any of it. We rode Suzuki ,Honda, any bike that would start and run but Yes Harley Davidson is a different ride. Made that Needles ride with him a few times. Love the Black Hills. He has gone on without me and my memories have to get me through the rest of this journey without him. Don't put off something you want to do. Time is short here.
I have mountain property and live in the Black Hills of South Dakota so I can't count how many times my wife and I have road through the Needles Hwy on our Harleys, and all the other beautiful rides in the Black Hills. We are fortunate that we can ride when ever we want. And yes it is definitely a beautiful place to ride.
This ride was breathtaking to my soul. Your background music fit the backdrop of the beauty of Needles. I will put this ride at the top of my bucket list. God bless you, and stay safe.
Thanks again for taking us along through Needles Hwy! We were lucky enough to drive Needles Hwy in September 2018, a couple of times on our visit during The Buffalo Round-Up at Custard State Park. You are awesome at putting together your videos, and thanks for sharing them... We used your campground review on your visit to St. Augustine, and made sure Ocean Grove knew it was you who referred us via you Video! Enjoy, Safe Travels & May God Bless!
Thank you! My memories of 2018 came flooding back and it washed a sense of peace over me that was unreal.. I really appreciate your videos and the time you obviously take to make them extremely entertaining! Ride safe and keep it up!
Wonderful video footage so clear and crisp!! And of course you and tour beautiful wife make the video !!! The music was perfect and you narration was right on the money!!
Hi Tolleson Family, Keith and I hope you two are safe, well, and rested. We thought about the two of you on today when we made our reservations for the 2021 Sturgis Rally. Reservations actually opens on tomorrow but I called Lanna and made our reservations on today. The first day is usually a busy day and we needed to be on a site long enough for our RV and trailer.. We will be staying at Chris Campground again. We arrive on the August 8th and checkout on the 14. Hope to see you out there but hoping to see you before Sturgis 2021. Kind regards Keith and Tracy
1st trip to Sturgis this year rode needles and badlands. Totally amazing and awesome land like I have never seen before. Loved it!! Can't wait to do it again!!
Great video as always. Just before you head thru Needles tunnel there is the rock formation that defines Needles. It has the formation of an eye of the needle. Very Cool.
Absolutely breathtaking trip! You're so great at describing the beauty and memories that you are both sharing. Keep pushing out the vlogs and thank you
THANKS as always for sharing !! I rode that for the first time on a brand new 2015 Road Glide ( my first bike with a fairing) 5 years ago and don't mind telling anyone that my PUCKER factor was off the charts on some of those turns ... but once I got down to the flats of Custer Park and checked my drawers it was a great feeling and a experience of a lifetime !! I enjoyed watching your video and living it all over again .... less the pucker factor ...... looking forward to the finale !!!
Drove that rode a year ago, although in a rental car not the same thing. I really enjoy your channel. Very down to earth, makes me feel like I know y'all. Keep the great content coming!
As a native South Dakotan, I really enjoyed this. Good presentation! I haven't ridden this Hwy in years, but next time I'm back, I'll drive this again.
After sleeping in our 1988 class c motor home at the truck stop in rapid city and a great breakfast of mayonnaise sandwiches we checked out the black hills and custer. Great trip.
Another great video with beautiful scenery and the beautiful, Clay and you, too Darryl!. It was an honor to have met you both and thanks for including me in your video. Hopefully, in the future we will be able to ride together. Ride Safe.
I always enjoy watching your videos when you travel. I live just south of Atlanta, enjoy traveling in our travel trailer, and originally started watching and found out you also were from the Atlanta area. Thanks again and stay safe.
I agree, I feel like I am riding along with them. I don't have my motorcycle license although I dream of getting them and my first bike as soon as possible.
What a great ride. The scenery was spectacular, trees, rock formations where unreal. The turn outs to take a breather, was just beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe. 👍👍🤓
i know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Caiden Nehemiah I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Loved the South Dakota and Devils Tower series. We also took our vacation there this year and camped outside of Custer. It was great to relive our vacation. Thanks again can’t wait for the next series!
You make some of the best videos I've ever seen of that area, the shots and narration are spot on. South west S.D. is a great place to ride, from the tight turns on Needles and Iron Mt to the open planes, east to the Bad Lands or west to Devils Tower WY. it's all good.
You sound like a Texan I'm acquainted with, Pecos Hank. What an incredible ride. Thank you for your fitting commentary to the spectacular scenery. Hope I can visit there someday. Happy trails!
You guys did a phenomenal job of showing us what we've always wanted to see going to Sturgis. Would love to go out there for Bike Week but just not able to so what you put together is fabulous for us to see what we never would be able to see ..Thank You so much and please don't stop doing these
