You can drive on all South Dakota roads (except Interstate) with a South Dakota road permit, as long as the UTV meets the SD requirements for road operation.
I used Avenza maps with USDA Forest service motor vehicle use maps (MVUM). I run it on an Ipad with a Bad Elf GPS receiver. Avenza also will run real well on an Iphone or Android phone too.

I use a software package called Telemetry Overlay to graphically depict information from the GoPro 9 cmaera that I used.
