Electrical comprehension tests are used to assess your competence in the use of electrical concepts.
The test is usually used as part of a wider psychometric testing assessment for roles that require:
- Practical engineering skills (RAF, Armed Forces etc.);
- Electrical engineering roles; Electrical maintenance and service roles.
The type of questions usually fall into the following 3 categories:
1. Analyzing electrical circuit diagrams.
2. Electrical symbols identification.
3. Written test questions that assess your knowledge of electrical concepts.

I had minimal electrical knowledge before taking my PiCAT, though this video helped me achieve a 93 AFQT score. So i just wanted to say thanks for the help!
Your videos are fantastic. I could pass my interview by watching and practicing these samples 👌🏼Thank you so much
Best of luck!
Please would you SUBSCRIBE to my channel? I'd very much appreciate your support. Thank you! Richard 🙏
except that he gives at least 1 wrong answer in each video. for example, the CORRECT answer to Q5. is "C".

@@CareerVidzI have a light fixture with to wires blue and brown and in my junction box is white black and ground where do I connect the ground wire?
I've got great news, I've passed! I cannot thank you enough! This video helped so much with my limited understanding of electrical components. You seriously just given me a key to a future I was worried that wasn't possible. Seriously, thank you so much!

Watching from Zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲 really helped me thank you
Very clear presentation, thank you. I'll download the pdf to help with my USPS 955 testing. I also found your spatial reasoning video which was helpful.

Q5 Option C - only right half of circuit is closed
First time here absolutely enjoyed the video so far. I'm looking to enter this field. What sort of jobs can you get knowing these types of questions?
Might I suggest a proper schematic that includes direction of electrical flow
On question #2 why wouldn't bulb Y and Z illuminate since that would be the only circuit that is closed?? I see if you go left from the battery then switch B would be open and that would cause none of the lights to illuminate. How do you know which direction to follow from the battery?
Its because the closed circuit you are mentioning is only connected to one side of the battery. In this case its only connected to the positive side of the battery. No connection on the negative side of the battery
Q2: D
I LOVE THIS EXERSISE Joe
Q2 D - electrons flowing from positive to negative terminals
Incorrect. Electrons flow from the negative side of the battery to the positive

Q5 - C
Q7 - D

Q10 - A
Q11 - C
Q13 - B

Thank you for your answers. Other than Q5 and 13 your answers are correct. Many thanks.
5 is C he admits it on another persons answer
5c
Q5 is a Series Curcuit, no bulbs will illuminate so it's D.
Good 👍
Why has Q5 C been marked as wrong. I cant see this being accurate. Please explain why Q5 is not C
Because stone Cold said so

Why is question 5 not c?
It is he admits it in a later video

5 is C he comment correct on another persons answer a month later
@@CareerVidz you're a tool
G oa
How is question 5 not c, I really don't understand??
I believe because you are using a battery as a power source. Which has a one way polarity and the circuit cant be completed because switch b is not closed.
That is the right answer... it is C.
Q3.) Bulbs Y and Z will illuminate only.
Would you like to try this Q again? The answer is in the video :)
Hi sir am from india your video very useful of me thank you so much sir this wonderful video for me 🥰❤

For some reason most of the other answers have Q13 marked as "B" instead of the correct answer which you have "A."
Q5. Answer. C right?
@@visakhvj7569Q5. Is C. The current is flowing from the small line. Switch A then allows the current to flow to light bulbs Y and Z. This is only logical.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”Ephesians 2:8-9“for ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Romans 10:13

Why is 5 wrong ?
Perfect thank u so much 👌
Do you have an interview coming up? :)
Because of the position of bulb x in the first electric circuit (containing bulbs x, y, and z), none of the bulbs in the circuit would light up if switch B was closed.
Switch b is open bro you ans right but not closed
Hey, does anyone know if this is the test like for the apprentice test for begginers?
This is a lil late but this is the test that you will most likely be getting before you start a job

Q5.) Bulbs Y and Z will illuminate only.
Unfortunately, this is not the correct answer. Would you like try again?
@@CareerVidz I would like you to explain please why Q5 C is not correct if now we have the right side of the circuit working.
But why not D in 8? Yes, it looks like a breaker but is it a lamp and how can I tell?
