On question #2 why wouldn't bulb Y and Z illuminate since that would be the only circuit that is closed?? I see if you go left from the battery then switch B would be open and that would cause none of the lights to illuminate. How do you know which direction to follow from the battery?
Its because the closed circuit you are mentioning is only connected to one side of the battery. In this case its only connected to the positive side of the battery. No connection on the negative side of the battery
@@ninjas164 To make this easier to understand. The positive terminal is the | and the negative is the smaller line. The circuit is broken at the negative terminal which doesn't allow X and Y to illuminate and thus doesn't allow Z to illuminate, despite A being closed.
