  • How do you keep ink from sticking to the back of your screens, when printing wet on wet? This is a common question, that we hear all the time.
You don't keep the ink from building up on the back up of screens but what we strive to do is to Control the build up with minimal distortion.
Start off, Professional grade supplies make the process alot easier. The cheapest products aren't the best answer for wet on wet or high resolution printing.
Tight screen at least 22 newton's, coat screens 2/1 or 2/2 for correct EOM, set off contact 1/16". Use 70 durometer or harder squeegee. Do not flood in the down portion, strive for the speed angle and pressure on each print stroke. Lastly watch the pressure, too much pressure causes dot gain, way top much pressure causes dot distortion.
This design was a 5 color, printed wet on wet over flashed Dreamy HO/LB white thru 230 mesh. 60lpi, ellipse dots, 22.5 angle using Hi Definition waterproof inkjet film, HiRez Pink emulsion & Advantage plastisol inks.
