    UPDATE: Due to all of the requests - I finally recreated the preset I used on these photos, as well as a film pack of all of my go-to's. These work great on digital photos from point and shoots (and DSLRS) to make them look a little less digital. The links to them are in the description. Thank you all!

    These photos that you present is crazy! I been pretty down recently. I didn't know what to shoot, so I started buying new cameras. But I found that I was still doing useless things. Your photo hit right in the middle of my heart. Thank you for sharing these ordinary but extraordinary images.

      林阿福 Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m honored that I could be some sort of inspiration to you. I was kind of in the same position as you - always buying new cameras - and the fun I’ve been having while shooting has increased by quite a bit once I downsized and started shooting on cameras like this one. Cheers my friend!

      VSCO doesn't sell this preset anymore sadly. Trying to locate a similar one myself, but I know you can get Kodak Gold presets on Etsy for cheap. That might be a good place to check. Any old digital camera like this one will give you similar results, so if you can get a cheaper one locally don't spend too much on this one :)

    I just need to ask two questions since I just started taking pictures:
    I see that you are standing far from some of the objects you are shooting but in the image you are much closer, do you zoom in before shooting or cut the image afterwards?
    And also, do you edit your images? They look so vintageish!
    Thank you very much for the video and also you are very talented!!

    • @alexbolen
      @alexbolen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Thanks for the questions. I am zooming in on the camera 99% of the time. If I crop after I capture the photo, it's generally pretty minimal. I edit them on Adobe Lightroom with a film preset. This one was a kodak gold preset if I remember correctly. You can find some affordable ones on Etsy if you're looking for a similar look.
