I like the game but it is not much to do, i have already completed all contracts all main story and all investigation, I’m just buying all there is at this point and waiting for more content.
Completely agree. The game is fun and is colorful. Hanging around with the ship and shooting some holes in others is pretty fun. Beside the fact that you can just sail around and listen to chanties, or do some contracts, this game has a bunch to offer. That is, If you play on a normal daily basis. And by this I don't mean having a "streamer life". This game will keep you busy for a while for sure. Hope to see you on the high sea buddy!
It's because these people are under the impression that it's supposed to be a "pirate simulator". This is an MMO and it's a damn good one too. Ubisoft out did themselves by taking everything that was great about black flag, and either incorporating the mechanic or improving the mechanic.

I just... know no one of the same opinion. I would love to have people to get extra teeth with, or farm precision drillbits. That's been my biggest drawback with it.

dude this vid saved my life. ive played like 150 hrs and didnt realize all of this. the range thing is huge, i've been using my telescope to get range then estimating from there as i move. yikes.

The hate on this game is unreal. This is the issue I have with gaming community. It seems like more and more people just complain and bicker about little things. Like in skull and bones case, I see so many people complaining about not being able to physically board ships... It baffles me that people think that every game HAS to be simulator and super realistic. For one, what do you consider realistic? Would you like to wait 6+ months for your ship to be built? Do want to start the game over every time your ship sinks and all your crew is dead? I just don't think these people understand that it's a video game. You're meant to have fun, not nitpick everything you believe is wrong with the game. If you don't enjoy the game, that's fine, but these people that are trashing on it are indirectly influencing potential players from playing the game.
Same here man it's driving me crazy I got to play in a group 2 times but the whole idea of wondering what to do and all I can do is ping and see pings ide like to communicate but privileges are making the setting for vioce chat to change causing this for us. However if you download the ubisoft connect on a mobile device there's a chat in the app only on mobile which is also crazy I'm gnu eventually download it since I'm staring at my phone while playing skull and bones trying to find a post on how to fix this voice text etc problem. I saw one video the guy has his voice chat on but the privileges won't let him turn it off. Crazy.
I've done the double or nothing before, and it was AI that tried to intercept me. The PvP one is the High Wager thing I believe, which isn't the same thing. I may be mistaken, but pretty sure the Double or Nothing isn't PvP, that or I have just gotten insanely lucky and never had anyone come after me.
the friend thing sounds useful, I only have two that plays, one whos super low level still, so I join him and do my collecting, and I'm normally the only kingpin

Not complaining, I got a game from Ubisoft which I like to play. However, I wish basic melee and gunplay was a thing and that boarding was a hands on endeavor and not a cutscene. Lots of potential, but Ubisoft went the route they did and I'm fine with it.
I enjoy this game but I didn't pay the $90 for early access edition. I paid $17.99 for ubisoft plus that way if I didn't enjoy it enough or I stop playing in a month and move on, I didn't lose a chunk of change. Thanks for the info and let's get the booty.

Not everyone wants full world PVP but the quick fix would be hopping server if you get attacked by a group. Sign out to main menu, wait 30-45 seconds, sign back in, new server
Enjoy it. Make sure you are collecting as much resources as possible. Don't worry about blueprints unless it's for crafting ammo. Try all the weapons and see what you like best.
First 2 questions kinda go hand in hand but, can I switch servers without losing my pieces of eight? Can I save my Po8 for days and then double? Is there a way to control which factory will give you the chance to double once I'm ready?
I believe you can switch servers. I've not tested it but I don't know why you would lose any 8's. I have come to the conclusion, you will only get a double up opportunity when there are no takeovers or treasure maps active. Essentially if there's other kingpin events taking place it's not going to allow you to do a double up.

It's something different. When you start collecting your pieces of eight. You'll sometimes get the opportunity to get double or nothing. If you accept it, other Kingpins on the map will hunt you and can kill & steal your gold pieces of eight.

the one i dont understand was i got destroyed by other player. all i was doing was initiating plunder i dont know how it happen or why. and to make things worst this guy ship is lvl 11 i'm just at lvl 4.
So that happened to me for the first time today. Well I found out a neat trick to make up that POE back relatively quickly. Pick the nearest manufactory to a Saint-Anne, level it up to Level 7 (800 pieces storage/57 pieces an hour), and then start on the second nearest manufactory and do that one. Within a week you should have a few maxed out at 800 pieces each, each run. Also, here's another hint for making easy silver and getting Helm supplies. Take a delivery mission and keep killing the rogue ships that spawn to chase you. Keep doing it until your hold is full. You'll make $$$$ in commodities and silver chests and have oodles of Helm resources.

I enjoy the coop aspect of this game. But this is why pvp is broken in this game. can have a full lobby of just friends and cheese challenges or can have a large group and team up on people. 6v3 or worse odds.

Can I get a video on how to use rockets? I had to use them for a quest and I missed my targets like 90% of the time. I couldn't see the targeting circle, unlike with mortars. I don't see folks using them much so I guess the rockets just plain suck.
The targeting takes a lot of practise because you can barely see the circle, rockets have a pretty flat firing arc compared to mortars and they tend to "fall short" or "overshoot" a lot because the target area is very small compared to mortars. They do not suck at all though. IF you can land a full salvo the dmg on ships can be quite scary. Stick with mortars or simply practise a lot. You'll get better with rockets but it's a painful learning curve.
I liked this game but they should of had actual ship boarding and ACs jump,run and climb mechanics. We’re stuck in the water and when there’s a spot to explore, we only can walk. Idk I think they wasted too much money for not many things. How did multiple studios decide for no ship boarding combat? Only thing I think is they wanted an all ages game.
I think ship boarding would ruin the flow of combat. The fact you are attacking and engaged with multiple ships at one time makes ship boarding an impossible situation.

I'm just wondering if you have a discord for skull and bones. I'm trying find players to play with and also looking for help to do the pieces of 8 drop offs. I keep getting attacked by like 8 players at once and they all fast travel.
The double mission is flawed , they can stack ships, fast travel in front of you , dock , heal , and you can't it's pure crap , don't care what anyone says , its shit, its the pvp people don't like , you work your ass off , and can't get nothing cause of 13 year Olds, that's why
It's not flawed. It's a challenge. You can choose not to accept it and then you have 0% risk. If you play with a few friends who are also Kingpins they can protect you & heal you if they have those type of weapons.
I feel like grouping in PvP is a cheap exploit and creates an unfair environment for solo players. They may as well just call it apex legends skull and bones and force everyone to be in a 4 squad at all times.
I feel like a an idiot...I been playing since start and the game is a love/hate relationship. 1st not many people get in a group and 2nd the interface once in a while just stops working at outpost then you have to restart game; so annoying.
Boy am i glad i ain’t ran into pvp yet id 100% refund the game. Either they dont know they can kill me or the community is really nice to us lower ranks which is extremely rare
Do you know if there addressing this issue. Do you have it luckily enabled I see that some have vioce enabled but can't disable. The ubi connect has a mobile app to message on I guess I'll be giving that a try it only works though if your buddy has the same deal. It's crazy how this would be a issue and if your joined in group it's harder to view the game profile like for xbox if you view profile before joining the group your able to see the gamertag but option but if you join group that option is no longer a easy option making you have to search it and that is all jumble because most of the names have some spelling that requires to enter alot or specific spelling and all while doing that the person has sailedd off and or left the group because of sitting there thinking it should be easy to invite to xbox party but it's not. Anyway thank you I appreciate the advice on the world lobby as for me though I had no problems with pvp yet and it's pretty cool but I don't have a friends list at a stable gameplay to where we play consistently I haven't got serious for the matter of communication rely on pings so I find it irritating to play with our knowing what each other obj is as far as how to play vids this one is the only one I would and will watch because this game and how it goes I learn as I play and it gives me a greater feeling I'm sure your tips and stuff are appreciated. I dont know if it's me or if it's bugged on console but this game has one of the worst tracking mechanics I ever seen. Can you please do a video explaining how exactly tracking works. Like I've so many items that are mission worthy and have no idea where to bring them

I have bombards, that deal flooding, on the front of my ship. Paired that with basilisks on the sides and my ship dishes out a lot of damage.

Literally activated a double or nothing. Had over 1k I had already picked up. Had never had issues before. Got jumped 😢rip

There is no chat right now within the game.
I tried to make a ticket bug report to Ubisoft about the chat in Skull and Bones. It's just stuck at pending review for over 3 days now

I have a pretty robust PC. I don't know that the graphics settings would be very valuable to most people

I'm just wondering if you have a discord for skull and bones. I'm trying find players to play with and also looking for help to do the pieces of 8 drop offs. I keep getting attacked by like 8 players at once and they all fast travel.

The double mission is flawed , they can stack ships, fast travel in front of you , dock , heal , and you can't it's pure crap , don't care what anyone says , its shit, its the pvp people don't like , you work your ass off , and can't get nothing cause of 13 year Olds, that's why
It's not flawed. It's a challenge.
You can choose not to accept it and then you have 0% risk.
If you play with a few friends who are also Kingpins they can protect you & heal you if they have those type of weapons.

I feel like grouping in PvP is a cheap exploit and creates an unfair environment for solo players. They may as well just call it apex legends skull and bones and force everyone to be in a 4 squad at all times.
I amassed 50k PIeces of 8 and did a helm wager to double the loot.
Sadly the mission bugged and nothing was doubled except my anger of wasting time.
It only doubles what is in your inventory at the time it gives you the option to double up.

If you check the bug forums, this is not a sole case of this happening.
All useful settings, but they are off by default, because the make the visuals more cluttered and less real.
You can reload a cannon in 5 seconds I don't think reality is really what we're going after here lol

I feel like a an idiot...I been playing since start and the game is a love/hate relationship. 1st not many people get in a group and 2nd the interface once in a while just stops working at outpost then you have to restart game; so annoying.
Boy am i glad i ain’t ran into pvp yet id 100% refund the game. Either they dont know they can kill me or the community is really nice to us lower ranks which is extremely rare
How do i get the privileges to change my dann vioce chat or even fix text chat its not allowing me to do so on series x. Thanks
Currently you cannot.
Do you know if there addressing this issue. Do you have it luckily enabled I see that some have vioce enabled but can't disable. The ubi connect has a mobile app to message on I guess I'll be giving that a try it only works though if your buddy has the same deal. It's crazy how this would be a issue and if your joined in group it's harder to view the game profile like for xbox if you view profile before joining the group your able to see the gamertag but option but if you join group that option is no longer a easy option making you have to search it and that is all jumble because most of the names have some spelling that requires to enter alot or specific spelling and all while doing that the person has sailedd off and or left the group because of sitting there thinking it should be easy to invite to xbox party but it's not. Anyway thank you I appreciate the advice on the world lobby as for me though I had no problems with pvp yet and it's pretty cool but I don't have a friends list at a stable gameplay to where we play consistently I haven't got serious for the matter of communication rely on pings so I find it irritating to play with our knowing what each other obj is as far as how to play vids this one is the only one I would and will watch because this game and how it goes I learn as I play and it gives me a greater feeling I'm sure your tips and stuff are appreciated. I look forward to meeting you on the water or land.
I dont know if it's me or if it's bugged on console but this game has one of the worst tracking mechanics I ever seen. Can you please do a video explaining how exactly tracking works. Like I've so many items that are mission worthy and have no idea where to bring them
Double or nothing is so lopsided favoring the hunters. Why are they allowed to fast travel. So unfair.
I don't know how many people know this but these manufacturers will reset in 91 days, which means all that work you put in capturing them will be gone. Worst game mechanic!!!!
