Also, another helpful tip that I didn’t know at the very beginning is when you’re putting stuff in the cache you can actually mark all your stuff and then just hit the store and it will transfer everything to your warehouse that you have marked except for treasure maps, you can’t store treasure maps
best tip, put your building materials in your cashe. when creating new items it wil automaticly transfer the required building materials from your cashe. and when you die you wont loose them.
@@keveli3338 you unlock it when you hit cutthroat rank, the ship (named brigantine) blueprint is 15k silver and then another 8k silver and materials to build. Well worth the time, mine is level 11 now.
Another big mistake is people seemed to be going out of port with their ship still needing repairs, So if your about to "Set Sail" check the menu and see if your ship needs repairs. Some of the npc's at the ports will remind you if your ship needs some love as well...
Right? I don't get all the hate on it. It's the only PVE or mission kind of game i can actually keep on playing beside my main games ( fighting games )
@@Björntobewild oh because people bitch just to bitch. They did the same when sea of thieves first came out. Plus just like ANY game that comes out. Those are the people that just need to go back to COD, fortnight
It’s incredible the game doesn’t tell you everything. I had to figure half this out on the Beta. Some stuff isn’t intuitive, because the game is clunky and feeling unfinished means you’re put off trying to try extra steps. For instance needing to collect some Acacia, the pin on the map took me to tree stumps. I thought I needed to disembark, but couldn’t see how. But after seeing a video of someone getting a button prompt to cut a tree whilst on the ship… I just went another 50m away up shore and there was a fresh pulsating tree. Also spare bits floating in water. So my added tips would be: - yeh scavenge, collect floating debris, clean up after others battles. - the Warehouse in Sainte-Anne is globally shared with around the other camps that have caches, so you don’t need to carry valuable loot back to St Anne. - definitely use the spy glass. - check your loot or inbox for Chests, and when in your own possession select ‘Open’ to get rewards like improved crow-bar or blue prints. I got spawn trapped in the start dock St Anne by 2 large higher tier ships when I was bringing my first ever haul back. Then they sat there not letting me out. Nice game mechanic !!!
It's a bare minimum of a pirate, it's not even a pirate game. A ship battle game. When you control your character on hubs feels disconnected from the world, an afterthought and it feels like it used to be a menu but made it into a hub. Imagine watching Pirates of the Caribbean but all the footage happens on the ship. The atrocious Pre-orders packs, MTXs design to milk a sinking ship. Overall, it feels like a chore to play Skulls and Bones.
I only played 20h in the beta, but my experience differs a lot from the tips given here: 1. Dont grab ressources, unless it's a specific hard to get one. You swim in everything. Nothing costs anything. It takes 15 planks to build a medium ship. You get 50 for a single plunder. 2. Dont scout enemies, unless you need a specific ressource and are in the corresponding area. Otherwise just kill everything or nothing depending on mood. 3. Silver is worthless. Do whatever you want with commodities. You *can* pay attention to the green/red arrows or turn them in in quests, but also just sell them. 4. I hope anybody who cares about optimization took less than 5 minutes to figure out that swiveling the ship over the lines lets you fire more guns faster. 5. Shipwrecks are the least useless ressource to gather, but then again you usually probably have a surplus of everything. Dont disagree with them being decent tho. 6. Agree. Eat food. Good. Put Grilled Food, Buff Food, Repair Kit and something or your choice on the easy access hotkeys. 7. Agree, tho im not quite sure what (if anything) the rank actually does, or if it's just a powerrank for your ships gear. 8. Who on earth misses mail? The problem fixes itself eventually aswell, since i doubt people will not notice for like 10 hours lol.
Thank you for this. Been perusing “SnB TH-cam videos” and either it’s “I hate this game blah blah blah” or “sorry cant speak because I have Ubisoft dong in my throat”… THIS has been the first video I’ve seen that’s short, sweet, and full of tips that even if I knew a few, definitely learned something. So again thank you!
I don’t entirely agree with the first and second one. Yes when you’re just starting out you should harvest and pilfer everything but once you have your footing in the game you merely need to save everything you come across naturally. In fact the only things I sell are commodities and newly acquire weapons that don’t elevate what I currently have. By storing everything else you get just by playing and not farming you will have a very nice stock so that when you do need to craft something big like a new ship you will only have to farm one or two more items if any. But once you get far enough in the game to continue sinking every ship and harvesting every thing that can be harvested is a waste of time. IMO
I was a massive hater before this game came out i thought it was going to be trash, Then I tried it and know a week later I'm still addicted to the game sure you cant board ships and run around on every island but man the game is pretty deep for what it is and just getting stronger and wrecking higher tier ships and pvp take overs for ownership of regions is awesome. I'm hooked
Biggest one is even learning this game is a thing. The lack of content, and hell, even worse for me, the lack of actual large ships is bugging me off and really stopping me from playing the game, especially with the rigged canons.
This was huge for me I still play but the lack of larger ships is still bugging me at least put them in but extremely hard to get or something. Im a huge pirate ship fan and going around for months in a medium ship is kinda annoying.

Does ranking up the ship really matter though? cause i can hit 12. but i feel the weapons and armor im using at 11 are better than just throwing whatever on to hit 12
Not really, it’s just like a gear score system and your ship can be much stronger at a lower level, it’s more about weapon placement and your ability to use the build 👍

id tell people to make liberal use of the warehouse and caches. you have alot of carry weight in the large ships, but eventually your total iventory size seems to hit a cap at 50, can really make looting a pain when you have to get rid of valubles cause your cargo is full, but you still have half your weight capacity.

As an enthusiastic player and lover of pirate genres, I was captivated when I discovered Skull and Bones. The game offers stunning graphics that immediately immerse me in the world of pirates. The variety of ships and customization options fascinated me and allowed me to create my own unique pirate. The gameplay mechanics are smooth and intuitive, making it easy to dive into naval battles and engage in epic duels. The strategic decisions, whether to fight, plunder, or team up with friends, keep the game exciting and diverse. What impressed me the most is the variety of game modes and features. Whether I go on a solo plunder, team up with other pirates to raid rival ships, or simply gather resources for new weapons and upgrades, there is always something new to discover and experience. I'm already looking forward to diving back into the world of Skull and Bones and experiencing even more high-seas adventures. Good tips but I completely disagree about the job board; the rewards are ok AT FIRST. but not too long into it’s not going to compare to the profit you can make from buying very low and selling very high. Basically just buy everything at every trader that has green arrows. Then sell your goods where they have green arrows.
