What worked for me:
- Primary weapon: Sarissa (cursed spear). Use this for overpower attacks. Three OP attacks and the shadow will be dead.
- Secondary weapon: Blades of Thoth. Switch to them to allow a faster adrenaline regen.
- Bow of Ra (light bow, on fire). Fast, decent damage, will increase even further adrenaline regen.
Be sure to always stay in shadow's view, if you see it going towards civilians just shoot some arrows at it. As long as there is at least one civilian alive in the circle, the shadow won't flee.
These guys disappear far too quickly
Its bull shit you dont have enough time.
If they are disappearing its because you need better damage weapons or need to put some points into damage skills. While they aren't easy for me I haven't had one disappear yet.

When you’re fighting any of the Shadows, make sure to to stay in the radius of where it spawned or it could potentially return to the underworld before you can defeat it

Pharaohs drop 3 shards of a star when defeated. It will cost you 300 shards to max out your gear.

The Dawn & Dusk thing to cause the Shadows to spawn, would've been good to know while I was doing the Ramesses quest (when you have to find his Shadow and banish it). I spent way too long just wandering around Thebes.
***If your issue is that the Pharoah is disappearing too quickly, stay within the circular, smokey ring outside of the Pharoah and it will not leave. You will also notice specks of Animus dust sparkling within the circular area. Keep dodging and attacking and you should kill the Pharoah rather easily.***
It still disappears for me. I'm assuming I have to complete the story first
Lol right after watching this video a shadow spawned and when I went over to it, it was standing still and didn't fight back so I easily killed him. I love glitches
Bro the same exact thing just happened to me. I watched the video then did the meditating thing until it was dark he rose then I went to find him and he just stood there while I killed him
The returning to the afterlife thing is driving me mad! I get them so close to death and they leave.
Welp..Players kept complaining about saying the phylakes are easy to kill😂, But now I'm dead with those shadows.
Everytime i try this they keep killing Civies and then peace out when they're done.

The only annoying thing I find is how they change their targets.
When they change to someone else my shield drops and I don't always see it.
The next hit that I take does a huge amount of damage.

*Overpower Fury is super overpowered.* If you've lost 2/3 of your health: equip a fury mode weapon and an overpower weapon (one must have adrenaline regeneration), activate fury mode, switch weapons *immediately* (cancelling fury mode with almost a full bar), avoid damage, use adrenaline regeneration to almost instantly refill, and activate fury mode again to refill your health bar in 5-10 seconds

I did a lot of hunting last night to prepare. To craft.
The pharoahs were easy to kill (Nefertiti, Akhenaten and Tutankhamun) but Rameses was the most annoying. He isn't difficult but his mace gives a lot of damage when you get hit once.

I’m level 51 and went against a level 47 shadow... but my hits do only 12 damage (using a 527dps weapon) and if he hits me 3 times I’m dead. How do you kill them? Is there something I’m missing?

Yup, on hard difficulty too, when he catch you with not full health. I stopped instantly dying at level 49 and I defeated him at level 50 using light bow with fire and warrior bow with bleeding. Not easy miniboss.

When i was doing the ramses shadow quest i just had him spawn and just stand around not even try To attack me literally just let me kill him for free... I had tried killing it like 5 times before but is this a bug?

i just started and with skill points to spare so i upgraded the new skills then started the DLC on hard use the Mustapha's blade (a underrated weapon) and rekt the pharaoh as soon as she appeared
I used the sword of the duat to defeat her the first time and the tooth of sobek to defeat her the second time in her temple

One thing you should notice is that each Pharaoh you defeat in the afterlife doesn't appear as a Shadow anymore.
Great strats. It seems you picked many weapons which are purchasable through helix credits. Helix credits are purchased with real money. Got a strat which doesn’t require Pay-to-Win purchases?

I had to turn off auto leveling. I was rank 52 and he was showing 50. I’d get him down to 10% and time would run out everytime. Finally defeated this sucker.

And a good way to defeat the ACTUAL Pharaohs in each of their afterlife areas, is to have Overpower Fury and Favor of Osiris; have a light bow and warrior bow, each preferably w/ HoH (Ex. Composite Bow or Spirit Catcher w/ 4th Plague or Jackal's Gaze); keep your distance; shoot them until you have Overpower; use Overpower; repeat.

Easiest way is to equip sarissa, the cursed spear, and attack from horseback, they’re too slow to hit you and you do a ridiculous amount of damage. You’re welcome

Probably going over a weapon there's alot on this dlc, my personal favorite is the "Amuns Might" regular sword
Just use a mount. Make quick passes and it should take 4-7 hits.

ive been on nightmare mode and my advice is to be on easy. its not hard to not get killed either way, but theyll disappear way easier on easy
also if anyone is wondering why heka chests now suck, they don't give you as many legendary things after the main story is done. I used to get around 3 to 4 in a row but now ill get 1 every 8 or 9 rares

Terry Merry They don't. The ones you beat in the main story will no longer spawn in the world. You can get star shards from picking it up from places in the afterlife or from killing the giant scorpions.
