Other than the powerful men in the fire nation, Azula relies much more emotional manipulation of her enemies and friends alike. She is able to see other people's needs and emotions like Katara, but uses this awareness for her own gain. Her need for perfection and control over others can be seen as a form of feminity and feminine coded behaviors, but using these traits to further her own goals, without considering others in an empathetic way. Likely due to the Monk’s upbringing and their general detachment from conventional ways of thinking he doesn’t have Sokka’s misogny or Zuko’s insecurity with his masculinity. Thus didn’t have to go through the same awakening Sokka, Zuko and pre series Iroh did.
