I could def see me driving that haha. It's my style.

I have an aluminum driveshaft and a carbon fiber driveshaft, trickflow heads, cam, sikky shifter, underdrive balancer and more. All parts have 500-1000 miles on them. I’m constantly building mine and as a result I have a shitload of barely used parts. Not to mention the low mile factory parts.

The suspension kinda sucks, they didn't design it for fatter tires, the exhaust has many choke points, the electronics go bad, the slave cylinder is fragile and the shifter is sloppy. Everything bad is outweighed by the good for me though.

Ahh, spice red, the only color. Well I am biased, mine is SRM as well. Mine is getting some repair love after 14 years in my care. It's been a solid car. I've been more lucky than most as far as parts reliability, only now, 14 years in am I having to replace things.. like my AC, 14 years and my head liner drooped a few months ago. Bit by bit tuning her back up, cleaning up, have some leather on order for when the car seat comes out of the rear, new wing (mine cracked out). Then we start to look at perf mods. Long tubes, cat-delete, something that whines, clutch upgrade (thanks to my wife trying to drive my goat.. oh well). I like the cosmetics you've done. I was thinking of doing the same runs, dunno about the Holden tail-lamps.
Sounds like you’ll have a pretty solid ride when it’s finished! The Holden tail lights aren’t for everyone but to each their own. I hope to be getting into the performance things next year but want to start at my transmission too. I believe my throw out bearing might be going out but rpm transmission is close so I’ll be picking up a stage 3 T56 before any more performances parts.
great work with your GTO. I had a Sunfire back in the day. I wish I stuck with Pontiac for the 5th Gen GTO's. They're super sweet. Maybe I'll get a used one eventually. I'd rather get one of these than a Mustang, Challenger, Charger.
@@johnbreighner5852 i think every car has a downside in some department but if you just want to keep one stock then they are great. They have some weird little things about them like the saggy headliner or the seats splitting or the seat belt retractors but other than interior problems they are solid cars!
GTO owner here. I have been looking for a spoiler. I got the sap front in my 2004. Always loved the Spice Red. They didn’t offer it in 2004 when I bought mine. Looks great man. Cam it at least. Need the burble.

If the price is right, there is nothing that can’t be fixed! I’d recommend checking the fluids like the brake, clutch and power steering to have a good sense if one of them is leaking. When driving, listen for thuds or grinding coming from the back. The rear differential fluid needs changed around 70k miles. Other than that, you should be all set!

Nice car bud, I've got a grey Monaro, don't use the rear battle aero fenders they look like they are from a gmc truck. They are developing a second set, full rear qaurter which are looking like a better option.
I just put spacers on my goat a couple days ago, besides the fact that my tires rub now, I'm sketched out of the spacers not going to hold up cuz I drive my car hard. How have the spacers held up for you?
1badgoat I bought super cheap spacers and they seem to be holding up just fine. A few hard launches, some sideways action and a lot of hard rolls later lol. I’ve never had a problem with spacers, just be sure you put some anti seize on the front and back of the face and torque them down properly. Hope this helps!
Long story short, this car design actually came from Germany and a company called Opel. Holden Australia 🇦🇺 R.I.P bought the patents for the sedan, coupe (seen here), station wagon and utility (Ute). They've also been rebadged as a Vauxhall VXR8 in the UK. Quite the schizophreniac motor car. Love my 2016 VF Commodore Series II Redline with the 6.2 LS3. Still can't believe they're gone. Always loved the subdued looks of these cars, but I always felt they shoulda made the ram air vents closer together/closer to the front of the hood, like the 4th gen ram air T/A’s do. Someone handy with photoshop go do that, and tell me it don’t look amazing

Red and gray? Dont get me wrong its a beautiful car but gray dont go with red bruh, BLACK AND RED, no offense but the gray doesnt do the red any justice, it makes it look ultraman themed
Also dont bother an expensive ass wide body installation without that ls2 being beefed up otherwise your blowing money on looks that say hey im quick but no im not, engine and trans should ALWAYS take priority over cosmetic upgrades
Thank you for your opinion but the factory accent color on this car is grey so I think it goes with the car great. I do however think black goes well with the torrid red GTO’s but that’s neither here nor there. Secondly, the mesh grills are screwed into the sap kidney grills, I didn’t cut them out I simply unscrewed them. Also, I used wheel spacers because I didn’t like how the wheels looked sunken into the body. The car doesn’t make enough power for me to worry about “quality” of wheel spacers. Lastly, I’ll never be the faster nor do I want to be the fastest gto or car around. I would rather the car look good then have a “fast” gto when I daily drive it. Again, thank you for your OPINION but it’s not needed here.

Im thinking of buying a stick shift 05 with 70k miles what should I look for when inspecting it and how do u maintain it

Red and gray? Dont get me wrong its a beautiful car but gray dont go with red bruh, BLACK AND RED, no offense but the gray doesnt do the red any justice, it makes it look ultraman themed
And on another note, if you cut the grilles out of the SAP fascia grilles then Im sorry but thats FUCKING DUMB
And spacers? Thats a big N-O
Also dont bother an expensive ass wide body installation without that ls2 being beefed up otherwise your blowing money on looks that say hey im quick but no im not, engine and trans should ALWAYS take priority over cosmetic upgrades
Thank you for your opinion but the factory accent color on this car is grey so I think it goes with the car great. I do however think black goes well with the torrid red GTO’s but that’s neither here nor there. Secondly, the mesh grills are screwed into the sap kidney grills, I didn’t cut them out I simply unscrewed them. Also, I used wheel spacers because I didn’t like how the wheels looked sunken into the body. The car doesn’t make enough power for me to worry about “quality” of wheel spacers. Lastly, I’ll never be the faster nor do I want to be the fastest gto or car around. I would rather the car look good then have a “fast” gto when I daily drive it. Again, thank you for your OPINION but it’s not needed here.
