hey im a prospective student who most likely will be at UK next year. I know you said the racial climate was sus...do you think you could elaborate more because that's one of the things i'm most worried about.
It's fuckin Kentucky brah you ain't gon get 50% blacks, not sure there's even that many brotha's in the whole state. I've had good luck, just know your basketball and the white chicks dig it naw mean

African Student Association. I didn't participate in any Black or African affiliated things my freshman year. I want to change that my sophomore year. There's a lot of minority students at UK, but not much compared to the number of students that attend. And yes! It was lit! Kinda want to do freshman year all over again!
Yeah the hosted Taste of Africa in April. I've heard of Black Voices. I'd love to see you guys perform!

hey, im choosing between hampton/ spelman and UK/Ohio University. if u could go back would u pick a HBCU even with it being more expensive? like do u ever regret going to a PWI?
Does Uk have a lot of black fraternities or are they all mainly white?
I'm so excited to go here! I got accepted for this fall and I'm so nervous because I'm coming from Georgia. do you have any tips for being away from home? I'm black but I am called an Oreo so it seems like the culture shock wont affect me much I'm just so excited

Help Me hey man i live in lexington, born an raised. off campus living is very different depending where you look. on campus is expensive, off campus is cheap if you look near campus or far. if you look in the middle, you're not gonna find anything. I recommend right by campus because it's cheap and not hard to get around. i really recommend bicycles in downtown and uk campus, it's friendly to bicycles and theres locks everywhere, and the city has bike lanes and locks all over downtown, with a few bike shops. lexington is big, but the downtown is small, and it's argueable that northern uk campus is better than downtown (and bigger). unless you mean nightlife and bars of course hahaha. but yeah, I love my city, and uk campus is a great part of it. hope you pick uk. best of luck, man.
