I would buy this guitar just for the colour. It’s beautiful! And I get why people don’t like it (colours like these on acoustics). I mean, none of my heroes played on a non traditional guitar. I was a huge fan of Neil Young, I saw Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and… well, basically everyone who played an acoustic played a traditional looking guitar. The wildest thing you might have seen a couple of times was black. I remember Emmylou Harris playing a black J-200, Paul Simon with his black 000 and of course Johnny Cash with his black D-35. I’m not the youngest, as you might have guessed. But I have a nice number of all time classic acoustic guitars in their all time classic colours. Last year I bought a cheap, yet very well crafted Guild 12 string guitar. It was a Deluxe version with a cutaway (another thing I never thought I would want) and it’s finished in a blue burst. It’s a beautiful looking thing! I’ve played the electric guitar for 43 years (something like that). I start to drool when I see old Fenders with a sonic blue finish, or shell pink, burgundy mist and most of the other colours on these early colour charts. New colours are introduced every year. Beautiful colours like olive drab green or sonic grey. So yes, when I see a J-200 in purple and I have the money (which I probably won’t), I would buy it immediately! And of course it depends. Sometimes it doesn’t work. Gibson made bright coloured J-45’s 6, 7 or 8 years ago. Bright pink and even fluorescent green. That was too much, even for me. But a white J-45? Gorgeous! 🤩
@@646627jd : What if it plays like a dream, can be set up easily when you decide to experiment with different string gauges and sounds amazing? 😊 Look, in general I am not a huge fan of Taylor guitars. I prefer the tones and the shapes of most Gibsons and Martins. But Taylor guitars are very well crafted instruments and there are many reasons why lots of people love them.
Love that maple! You know it!
For that kind of money, I want to see the wood.

Purple rain... Purple raiiiin!
Not my color style, but good sounding. I like my 512ce I bought from you. Thanks, Quinton and Paul.
Cuz I've been bitten by purple rain, thanks alot son, just the same
That purple maple is rare these days.
Barney guitar.
Lot's of people like it but not for me. I wouldn't be caught dead with that on my lap.
No way!! Prince and Purple Rain. Martin Sexton does best version of that Purple Rain.on a Taylor..check it out
Guys, your video description of this guitar on you tube says it's a short scale Martin dread with Adi top... just sayin'
Prince was the first? well known artist who played a Taylor and yet they didn't have the Taylor name on the headstock.
I would buy it if it were 12 fret🤙🏾
The skeleton formerly known as “Prints”.
If you have kids, this is the Laurie Berkner model.
Nice sounding guitar. No for me on the color.
Thank you
I kinda like the aesthetic. There are a lot of cool Taylor models, but that one sounds like crap on my iPad…like cheap plywood, with no wood tone.
Nice tone but the color is too overt and the price is too high.
Hard pass
To BAD it has a Bolt on Neck!!!!!!
