I just got my nytrum and the uphostery back rest is set to straight up. It needs to leen back more. How do i do that? The manual does not explain it .
How about an informative video of the ideal sitting position and how to adjust those. I think we all know thereâs different types of backrestâs that adjust.
Hey Chris thanks for your comment! What type of backrest do you have or any specifics to you personally that you'd like to email us at info@sciactivenetwork.org to try and give you some suggestions?
This video series was more focused on explaining the very basics for the newly injured who don't really know anything about a wheelchair or the process besides the seating companies who often times fail their clients.
As for the sitting position, that really is specific to each individual's physical abilities, preferences for chair weight, and most importantly their comfort. Different injury levels lend to different needs for backrest height, stability and contour while focusing on posture and maintaining proper techniques propelling.
Personally, I've used many types of adjustable hard shell backrests and upholstered, both have benefits to each person, but I prefer the upholstered backrests for comfort and lighter complete wheelchair weight with the amount of car/wheelchair transfers.
@@sciactivenetwork I understand. I guess the description of the video sounds like itâs going to explain more of the last 2 paragraphs of your reply. I.E. How to make adjustments based on sitting position, physical abilities, comfort, etc..
He sounds like a robot
Thanks for watching! First time reading a teleprompter gave me more respect for those that do it regularly.
