This is so gosh dang impressive! Not only is it your usual awesome medley with several songs, it's especially impressive because Pokemon music tends to have so many layers/counterpoint going on, and you nailed all of it with such attention to detail!! Not to mention it's such a nostalgia trip... And wow I love how the drums drop out in New Bark Town, Ecruteak city, and Vermillion city and it's all quiet 😭 so pretty. This might be my favorite you've done, and that's saying a lot since it had to top your Mario RPG haha
Thanks so much! I think it's pretty amazing they were able to make so many songs fit on a gameboy and all of them are so well composed and have a lot going on. I appreciate you noticing how much work I put into getting this as good as I can :) That's really awesome to hear that this is your favorite! Mario RPG was a lot of fun and I believe you said my Final Fantasy medley was also one of your favs lol. It's good to have many favorites though haha. Thanks again! :D
Thanks so much and also for the sub, I really appreciate it! Gen 2 still has my favorite Pokemon soundtrack so this was super fun! Thanks for watching!
Nice! I haven't played these games, but I still recognized a couple of melodies that must have been carried over from the first game. Sounds really good, great work man!
Very nice work! Really liked your higher notes in Dark Cave! Always a nice touch their and you made it really noticeable! Had to send this one to the wife as well as these titles are her favorite! keep it up!
Awesome job! I don't know any of these songs except the title screen and I think Ecruteak City because someone we know covered it haha. The rhythm parts at 3:05 reminded me of Black Sabbath a lot!
Woah thanks so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed it and you feel that way :) You can always try to share it with others? I feel like that's the best way to get genuine exposure :)
I m late to the party this time, but nevertheless: Great medley Lloyd! I guess you ve already answered this before, but how did you do the drums? I finally got a Bass so theoretically I can now play all instruments necessary (except for drums that is lol) ;)
Thank you! I make the drums in Guitar Pro 5 first, then export it as a MIDI file and then put it into Reaper using Addictive Drums as a VST :) That's awesome that you have a Bass now! Now you can jam along to these covers or are you already?
@@LloydTheHammer I kinda overestimated my ability to play bass and thought my guitar skills would somehow transfer but I am having a hard time haha(I try to play fingerstyle which makes it even harder) . also I find it difficult to play by ear(with guitar it works alright but those low frequencies are driving me insane), maybe thats something Ihave to get used to ;)
@@ananashund4283 Haha I had the exact same thing! I tried fingerstyle at first too but I just didn't feel comfortable so I just stuck with playing with a pick. Yeah I definitely make small mistakes sometimes while transcribing bass lines because of the super low frequenties lol.

Thanks so much and also for the sub, I really appreciate it! Gen 2 still has my favorite Pokemon soundtrack so this was super fun! Thanks for watching!
Dude you are killing it with medley's. Definitely played more Red and blue but some of these tunes came back to me as I was listening. Great job!
Thanks bro! I appreciate it :) Medleys are just so much fun to make for me and I plan to keep making a lot more.
Nice! I haven't played these games, but I still recognized a couple of melodies that must have been carried over from the first game. Sounds really good, great work man!
Thanks man! Yeah stuff like the Title theme and Vermillion City are pretty much remixes of those songs in the first game.
Got this in my recommended, its a hella fine medley mate
Thanks so much I appreciate that!! Glad you liked it :)
Pikachu and friends are liking this
Haha that's great!

Thank you! I know right, this game was a huge part of my childhood as well! Glad you liked it and thanks for the sub! :)

Thanks man! Haha that part is pretty Black Sabbath now that I think about it.
Good god this is a lot of music! Great arrangements dude
Thanks bro!!
This is beautiful, I'm not into music myself yet this might be the most beautifully composed medley I have ever heard.
You really deserve more subs!

Brilliant.

Awesome!🎸🎸🎸
Another epic medley bro! Gen 2 is my absolute favorite era in Pokemon! :)
Thanks man! It's my absolute favorite as well so that's great to hear! :)
@@LloydTheHammer Awesome! The best thing IMO was that you got to Kanto after the Pokemon League, so it was like 2 games in 1 :D
@@TheYuke Yep that was the most memorable part to me and it blew my mind that that was a thing!
More Pokémon, more more i tell ya
Haha perhaps in the future someday. Thanks for watching!
As professor oak from pokemon snap would say…
‘Wonderful!’
Haha yep, I totally hear it in his voice. Classic. Thanks man!
Good stuff man!
Thanks bro!
