So I made a big whoops while preparing the recording process for this medley. I accidentally forgot to include Magna Centipede's song in my arrangement and I found out about it after I already recorded all the audio. Luckily, I was able to make a fresh Reaper file (my DAW) and copy paste all the recorded parts in a way that I was able to record Magna Centipede's song anyway without having to rerecord anything! So sorry if it feels like his song is kind of shoehorned in there but I really wanted to include his song anyway! Would've been a bummer if he was the only Maverick missing in the medley you know!
That's a crazy coincidence man. Now I understand what you meant in the comment you left me in my latest collaboration covers of Wheel Gator and Wire Sponge from MMX2. And I'm not sure if it's further coincidence but you put both Wire Sponge and Wheel Gator as the first boss themes in this medley. Mega Man X2 has been getting a lot of love by all of us and it couldn't be more deserved. Aside from those two themes that now I feel connected to, it was fun watching you play the other great themes from this beautiful game too and props to you because many of them are hard to play. Mega Man X2 music is so good, that this medley made me want to do another one haha killer medley!
Hell yeah Mega Man! This OST definitely sounds way more thrash metal as you mentioned. I especially like Crystal Snail with it's weird time signature haha 😁
man you nailed it! X2 is one of my favorite soundtracks from any game and I don't have nostalgia for the game. It really does have crazy drums and bass throughout the whole thing, and it's so "proggy," there's really nothing else like it on the SNES. And you really nailed it and your style worked great for all the songs. My new favorite of yours!
Yeah, I'm VERY HAPPY with this!! 🥰🥰🥰 Awesome work, Lloyd! For me, the absolute hits of this game are Flame Stag and Magma Centipede but the rest also rocks at top level and you played them perfectly!! 🔥🔥 (BTW, where did you buy that t-shirt? I want one!) Congrats for this fantastic medley! 🙌
