My mom suffers from Grave's disease. She had the orbital decompression surgery. As they said it went well, but right after yhe surgery she became almost completely blind. The neurosurgent implied that we were quite late and that blood wasn't getting through her eye nerves, that's what was causing her eye failure. But it had been months that she was being treated by her endocrinologist and her opthalomogist trying to heal Grave's through medication. It's been over a month now and her sight is less than 5%.. We've been to 4 different clinics and nobody could help. It comes a point where they all draw the same conclusion, "There isn't much left to do, we did our best and anything possible, we now just have to wait and see.." But we are waiting over a month as I said before and she can't see..! Is there anything else we can try? Does it take that long to heal? And what happens in the cases that Grave's causes blindness? Are they irreversable??

Her one eye is gonna be completely blind for the rest of her life and the other is like at 5%. And all that from an "extreme" Grave's case

@@SunnyDewan tepezza is supposed to help with that. Theres been big improvements with the infusion treatments.
