I love the kitten fabric and the pattern you made in it! I think the black background and sewing pattern make it look sophisticated, and then when you look closer, the kittens are a fun surprise. Always fun to see what you're up to and have knitted and sewn Cath. Love your idea of simply cutting the pattern at the shorter length and then taping it back on afterwards to avoid the retracing. I will remember that :). xx Karen

Lovely video Cath, I really do enjoy spending the week with you and seeing what you get up to every day. I missed you and your family when Vlogmas was over 😅 I think your Dovestone dress is going to be very pretty on you and I think it’s a great idea to sew ahead of season it certainly takes the pressure off to have a few projects completed. The undoubted star of this weeks video just has to be Danger Dog 👏I absolutely love him and it’s rather magical that the star button was just hiding away in your button jar 😊 I have just finished a Cleo pinafore dress in a nice medium weight and colour denim, useful with a Freya or tee shirt for round the house doing chores. I like mix and match separates for daily wear. Thanks Cath, and have a good week 😊x

Just to update you my body warmer is now complete and I’ve just cast on a navy and ecru jumper the bottom is navy and then there are stripes at the top and on the sleeves
I’m thinking about summer plans for sewing I like to make a few things in advance so it’s nice you are making the lovely red dress you will have to have a valentines meal with all the family and wear it then

After spending January organizing my sewing room, I am sewing some new things for an upcoming vacation to visit one of my married daughters and her family in Iowa.
I've cut out a pair of elusive waist ponte pants, a pair of whimsical, wide leg, multi-tiered pants in a floaty floral dobby viscose (McCall's 8098, I'm copying the model on the envelope), and a floaty viscose tunic (McCall's 7284).
Of course I have many more plans, but we'll see how much I can accomplish!

I had the same black rib knit jersey that you were wearing on the Thursday and the same thing happened to me. I made the cropped Southbank sweater with it and I am really disappointed with how it turned. I don’t think I have the same patience as you to unpick it all and start again though, I’ll think about it. Lovely makes as always Cath. Thanks for sharing ❤
Oh no, sorry to hear the same thing happened to you with the black rib knit jersey. I had no trouble with the other colours of the same fabric, it’s strange that one has misbehaved.

Hi there, no I haven’t found that mine rides up with tights underneath, it seems to behave ok on that front 😊
