As a primer at MR 5, you could go for the Atomos. This weapon is mastery rank 5, works like the ignis, deals mainly heat damage which can be altered and 21% status chance.
11:27 New players get Clashing Forest as a reward for Venus Junction, so an MR5 player in Steel Path definitely has a staff stance by this point, unless they Endo'd for some weird reason.
If you don't have adaptation, Shock Absorbers can be an alternative choice, giving you 20% DR against impact puncture and slash damage with no ramp up requirement. You can also use shock absorbers instead of gladiator aegis as you will get more DR this way.
videos like this are the reason I came back to warframe taking s very deep and complicated game and breaking it down to where any one comprehend it, that and the cross platform progression.
SHOPPING LIST: -Adaptation: Abitration drones -Galvanised Mods: Arbitration shop If you don't have Adaptation by the time you have all the galvanised mods you need, I'd recommend buying one as they are pretty cheap, unless you want to use arbitration as your endo farm. -Vigor: Nightmare mode (Uranus-Sedna/Eris) -Heavy caliber: Deimos orokin vaults (dragon keys) -Gladiator/Vigilante sets: Plains of Eidolon bounties -Carnis/Saxum/Jugulus sets/Weeping wounds: Cambion Drift bounties Note that all 3 Deimos sets have a "carapace" mod, and the only difference is the set bonus, so use whatever one you want (or use two and replace vigor, if possible) Don't forget to farm up your Panzer Vulpaphyla -Thermite rounds: Final Spy vault (Uranus-Sedna + Kuva Fortress[higher chance, 2nd vault]) -Volcanic edge/Vicious Frost: FInal spy vault (Earth-Phobos) -Virulent scourge: Corrupted Vor (Post-Sedna Void) BUY ARCANE GRACE!!!!! Even rank 0 will be fine, but you NEED the healing, and your high hp makes health orbs give basically nothing, and arcane grace's percentage healing will give you so much more. Alternatively you could use Inaros' 2nd ability, but it requires you to stop in place for a full 5 seconds every time you need to heal, compared to Arcane grace working automatically. You'll even notice he uses Arcane grace himself at 6:02
In my opinion, you can just use rhino at this point, for your warframe choice. He is those kind of frame that even without helminth, still hold on exceptionally well, he is one of the lowest in investment cost due to not specifically needing anything crucial to start performing. You can mod for some armor for a baseline better iron skin health, some augur mods, efficiency, strength, range or duration, and steel path is generally not a big question for you, and he have stomp to help you tremendously with acolytes and even eximus where everyone else suffers against, especially with weaker weapons, and especially violence, he can become too big of a problem to so many frames. Not only he can maintain a near-revenant level of survivability just by pressing iron skin, no setup at all, he also have one of the best buffs for any weapons to perform in such level of content. He can even solo interception, excavation, mobile defense with his severely underrated stomp which is the best cc in game, you just build high range for it, and high efficiency, and suddenly these gamemodes are a complete joke. defense wise, just neutral or 130 range. Speedrun wise, you can even use his 1 to do speedrunning, just mod for some range and dur and you are gtg. And you don't even need any arcanes at all, this all can be done with very very low setup cost, though some corrupted mods are mandatory for this, like overextended and fleeting expertise, which both are cheap to level up. But at the end, no matter how good it is, it is all about personal preference.
Preferences + basic understanding of the game, like calculating crit possibility or corelation between armor and health/shield depleting. Once you know the basics, and elementary understanding of one's skills, you will come to conclusion there are much cheaper, affordable, and player friendly frames for the beggining and Inaros ISNT one of them.
I really think you need to start a new account to remember what it's like to start from nothing. As a closed beta player I have one sitting at MR 2 or 3 and I'm still in the Flawed mod stage. Endo is an absolute nightmare and I feel this guide is only plausible if you already have the mods. You are more likely going to be MR10 before you are realistically going to be able to come close to doing this and maybe even MR 15. Then you take in to account even if you started over you have the knowledge new players don't. You and I know what to do and where to farm things while they don't. I can't stand these kind of videos because they tend to be detached from the reality of a new player.
I just started warframe a few days ago, and I'm just about to hit MR5 as soon as the daily timer is done. I feel pretty ahead of curve in terms of mods, gear, and resources, but yeah this guide is completely unachievable for me right now. I've even relied on the wiki and youtube videos like this for my whole playthrough so far.... But for all my research, planning, and grinding I've only got a Rhino build that still needs probably 15K worth of endo to even think about something like this. Not to mention that using the wiki to track down specific resources and mods has left my star chart mostly unfinished aside from the specific missions that were easy to get to and worth farming for something. I even skipped a lot of the grind by trading my starting platinum for some of the really annoying to farm mods for rhino like blind rage, transient fortitude, and powerdrift.
At this point I would say completing the star chart should be your priority so you can start doing Arbitrations for Ayatan Sculptures and Adaptation. Then the Aya for mods such as Rolling Guard and I believe the Galvanized mods. Every warframe needs Adaptation.
Mr2 players watching this and thinking about what a mod and a secondary weapon is. Still good guide, but respectfully there is no way you get all those mods and the whole map completed and still be mr5
Well I completed the entire Star chart nodes at early Mastery Rank 6 and got insane mods (blood rush and condition overload and primal rage augment for wukong and etc) trading platinum and finished the angels of zariman and Durvi and I still do barely any damage Lmao and I have reaper prime and latron prime (regular) and wukong prime from buying it in prime resurgence Lmao. Please help
@@TheKing23624 You can watch my videos on "How to Play Steel Path," series. I'm adding each warframe everyday, to help players better understand their Warframes, and if you have any suggestions for videos, I'll do my best to do it. I really want to help new players for the exact reason you just stated.
Warframe Mod List: 4:20 Ignis/Ignis Wrath Mod List: 7:46 | 7:57 Tipedo / Any High Status+High Reach Melee Mod List: 11:35 Panzer Vulpaphyla pet Mod List: 14:34
Steel Path unlocks at Mastery 8 because of Zariman nodes. There is 200k+ endo used in this build. Ignis Wraith used in this build requires the research from your clan and Mastery 9. Adaptation and Galvanized mods requires Arbitration to be completed. In Arbitration, if you die and are not revived in time you will get AFK checked and lose future rewards until you can move again. Weeping Wounds and Synth mods are typically not worth the time/platinum ratio to focus farm. Prime warframe used in this build. Pure heat build on Ignis will only carry someone so far -- even with the melee and cat primer, and is very ammo inefficient because the heat stacks have to build up. Inaros lacks shields, which means the loss of shield gating (repeatedly using moments of invulnerability), an invaluable tactic in deep Steel Path missions. Eventually, with higher level enemies or even a few Eximus, Inaros has a high likelihood of downing. 0:29 "not Clickbait", but the poster is very clearly saying one thing and doing something different.
The 6th forma must've been a rewrite, his ignis is basically 5 and he only needs 5 because he has galvanized aptitude and galvanized chamber, if you use the regular mods instead and just leave a few underleveled its you can 2 or 3 forma it
Forma is easy to get just join relic farm u could also get platinum from it my best advice instead of rushing in missions farm plat and reputation in open world 20k limit daily completing a good weapon build and frame build as starter wasn't a bad plan time consuming yes but it's a game base on progress u should enjoy it slowly it's better that way
I think that there is a difference between being an MR 20+ or whatever player and playing with an "MR 5 loadout"' vs being an actual MR 5 player. I would second to others saying that when you are at MR 5, there are other things you should prioritize in the game - more sustainable in the long run. As for the choice of the wf- invest more time into the game, get revenant/revenant prime and survivability is no longer going to be an issue.
Personally I think the Nitain required to make Wukong from the dojo is worth it. The star chart is mostly empty and Wukong would really help you early game with taking hits with Celestial Twin. In a game where the early game is so lonely Wukong is the best thing to spend Nitain on in my opinion. Even with my Rhino I was struggling at the time. I put a lot of work into a Helminth before the Wukong rework and it made the game so much easier. The damage it soaked literally made the game playable when most of the time it was just me. You won't need Nitain for a long time in any real amount to far down the road as well. One Wukong with a Reactor is far cheaper than a Rhino and Helminth with a Reactor.
I just got back into Warframe about a week ago [oh god help me] after a very long time away and your videos have been a fantastic help and refresher. I stopped at MR 13 so though I'm fairly familiar with the base concepts, you're so comprehensive with everything that it's filled some gaps I didn't know about. Thank you!
I've been playing warframe for years and never really figured some of these things out. Thanks so much for explaining not only the specific builds you went with, but why they work (and therefor making it so that we can come up with other builds that use those concepts for ourselves. This is a great way to teach.)
Thank you so much for the lovely compliment ❤️ I'm happy to hear that the video helped you nd especially that you enjoyed my way of explaining. What you mentioned is exactly what I aimed to achieve ^^
This video appeals to so many players - arcades and primed mods are so irritating to see in every build so thank you so much for excluding them and recognising the more casual players
Aaaw glad you liked it ^^ Thank you for the lovely feedback ❤️ But it's true, even with a relatively low investment Build you can absolutely take on Steel Path ^^
Realistically if you're not able to kill an enemy within 5 seconds on SP, you'll be struggling. Maybe okay for capture/spy/exterminate/sabotage but for longer wave missions like defense/survival/mobile defense/interception as well as assassination, you need to be able to kill enemies quick enough before you get overwhelmed. Steel Path will be so much more enjoyable if you have strong weapons and a good warframe build.
It might've made more sense to use xoris rather than tipedo in this build, especially because then you can run Vazarin for protective dash for even more survivability, or unairu for armor stripping targets like Acolytes which this build would struggle to deal with. If modded for corrosive, it's also a halfway decent acolyte killer and can do a job against SP grineer (though it's obviously not the best glaive for them). Another really good thing about the xoris is that glaive stances essentially do not matter beyond increasing mod capacity. Staff stances on the other hand really affect the feel of the weapon. On the other hand, volatile rebound can be a bit of a pain to get so swings and roundabouts I guess
I was using an MK1-Braton on steel path for memes with my friends and at first my one friend accused me of using a kitgun that I named to it before we loaded in and he saw it was indeed an actual braton variant. Was actually usable with the right build, though I was using primed mods and a riven that requires mr19.
I get this. But you could simply put most of these level 10 Mods on only level 7 or 8. In this case you save 75% of the upgrade cost while still having 70-80% of the effect. Should've maybe mentioned this in the video ;)
@@adarshvenkateswaran795 and thats what I did, in both comments. I am trying to encourage players like you to delve deeper in the game, instead of blindly following a blind messiah telling you to do certain things. But apparently, you like circling around, searching for the answer, laying next to your feet.
I can’t imagine having every node done at Mr5 lol you’ve gotta be intentionally avoiding leveling up to not be a lot higher when steel path comes along. Still such an intelligent build
Yeah I started 8 days ago, I just finished chains of harrow, have all junctions done, and have about 20 nodes left and I'm MR7. And that's with only 3 frames and me using lvl 30 secondary/melee on many occasions because I am not rushing blueprints for stuff. I can't imagine how/why anyone is doing this at MR5 especially when MR8-10 give way better options.
The ACTUAL things you are looking for in this video: 4:14 Inaros build (focused on survivability) 7:56 Ignis build (Ignis prime is shown but the build is compatible with normal Ignis as the author of the video states. Focused on status DOT) 11:27 Tipedo build (as primer) 14:35 Panzer Vulpaphyla build (for viral status) 15:42 Focus (Naramon, for power spike) 16:40 Strategy to make it all work Every video, every time. It's just WAAAAAAY too much talking and explaining with no timestamp or episodes to just skip to what's promised in the title, it's not even a "short gen z attention span" issue, I literally don't have all day to listen to these explanations, grinding takes long enough already dude, can I just get the information I am looking for and be on my way, jeez...
I just would like to say theres no way an MR5 player is gonna have max rank Umbral mods, those things taking millions of Endo and credits to make. I know this because I dont have max rank Umbral mods and I'm MR15, I also havent fully completed the Star Chart.
@@noahedenborg4221egardless of how anybody plays, I don’t think it’s actually even physically possible to acquire the amount of endo needed to max out an umbral mod at MR5. Unless somebody has been playing since day 1 of Warframe but not levelling any weapons or Warframes but doing sorties and Ayatan hunts every single week since release.
3 things stand out to me that are very misleading. 1) it costs 100s of thousands of credits & a lot of endo to max these r10 mods. No new player will have that. No offense, but if you actually have the creds & endo to max all these mods, how the heck are you still MR5? 2) Forma... Showing a 16 forma build (didn't need all the polarized mod slots for what is shown in the vid, needed many of them)... goodness this MR5 player wastes a lot of time doing everything but ranking up their mastery. 3) focus schools. Thankfully can get decent amounts without too much hassle in Duviri. But again, this isn't beginner stuff. No shade, just pointing out some things that seem off to me. Was going to recommend vid to a friend who's new to the game but after watching, i don't see the point bc their not gonna have any of what's shown here.
Well, if they are serious about SP then at least rank 8, yes. Steel Path without a full mod setup is not possible and if you want to do it then you gotta bring at least something to the table. That's how it is
@@NickHunterwhere. People always say “just go to arena” but I do arena and at MOST, with a resource doubler, get maybe 500-700 endo per run. And the runs take a few minutes each since the enemies are so damn slow to spawn and find
@@MHBlacky_ENGyou also didn't take into account that they would need to go through arb, and as ar 19 I don't even have all of my mods maxed, granted i have a lot of them maxed but I doubt an me 15 would be close
When people say stuff "isn't cheap" I think they're forgetting that Warframe is a 100% free to play game. If you genuinely want to spend zero money then it is absolutely reasonable to have all this stuff IF YOU WANT TO GRIND FOR WEEKS. Cheap doesn't mean the same as easy.
So let me get this straight...you recommend this new person who is at MR 5 use Galvanized Aptitude, but in order to obtain that you, with the limitations imposed, need to have polarized a frame at least once, because the only way to get Galvanized Aptitude (other than buying from another player for platinum, which counters the video's "must be free" limitation) is to run arbitrations. So it's not exactly an easy acquisition and not likely to be something a MR 5 player has just sitting in their inventory. Then you recommend the Tipedo as a melee primer, but advise against using a stance mod, rationalizing this by claiming stance mods can be rare. My brother in Christ, if someone has qualified for Arbitration I can guarantee they have at least one copy of the Flailing Branch stance in their inventory... I don't want to be too mean here but this kind of poorly thought out advice is why I unsubscribed from your channel.
IPS doesn’t go off of which damage is done most it’s a = split percentage done with elementals hiring for a more pridoment stat they changed that a couple of years ago but I love your explanations
@MHBacky_ENG btw Inaros is also now locked behind Barro. Witch is Behind MR8 so unless you can find someone to trade it. It is unreachable for MR5. I dont disagree in the choice.
@@lord-courageous7889 an in addition:Guide immediately invalidated due to adaptation; an Arbitration only dropped mod.... keep in mind that once you unlock steel path hat does NOT unlock arbitration these days... to unlock arbitration you will have needed to clear ALL nodes on the starchart which isn't needed for steel path and then farm it heavily as the dropchance is 2%... I also don't disagree with the choice but I think the creator forgot about some stuff low rank players might not have access to by the time they unlock Steel Path. He literally says "no super rare mods" I would say a mod that is hidden behind an extremely low dropchance AND a gamemode you have to specifically unlock would fit that criteria Same with Galvanised mods; they're bought from Steel Path commendations
How will a mr5 have like 10million credits and 300k endo for all those mods huh? take in note, EVEN MR10 PEOPLE DONT GOT THAT MUCH ENDO AND CREDS, NEITHER THE MODS, and i dont thing galvanized mods are even accessable at mr5. And how do you expect them to have 6forma ignis and 6forma inaros
trade chat brother, get credits from doing simple credit farms you can find on youtube and you can get endo from ayatan sculptures you can either trade for or get from doing the sorties as well. for the forma just do relics and select the forma every time as well as gaining prime junk to sell while you're not getting forma drops. plat is not a hard commodity to come by through trading if you're smart about it
@@luv223sindex. I get like 2 million credits each time. What do I do? I tickle enemies and run. I dont recommend this playstyle. I feel like its slowed me down.
@@luv223s ohh for sure. I regret wasting my time tbh. Yes Im rich. But im neglecting my play through. So I’m in the dojo getting some blueprints going lol
Platinum trading is heavily dependent on your platform. Since I personally play on the switch, the market is mostly filled with sellers and not buyers, and switch can only platinum trade with other switch players.
As a Belgian guy I approve of how you say Panzer Vulpa and will be doing that as well when I unlock it. I've been unlocking Naramon the last few days and now that you mention it, it does seem to be worth considering for Steel Path especially because of how strong opening enemies to Finishers can be. First Steel Path Defense I did with another player they gave me grief for attempting a Tanky Frost and only doing 25% of all damage with my abilities and Nataruk mainly :D Gave me a sour feeling but I was just unlocking nodes on my way to Tyana Pass anyway... Guess my freezing/globe/overguard utility just wasn't being appreciated
This is good advice though especially the pet as a viral proccing animal that is pretty much immortal is incredibly useful throughout the game and if you just spend some time in Deimos getting friend title you can get this pre MR5 I'd say the only inaccurate thing is him thinking everyone is super lucky and would have most of those mods by MR5
@@kreamkid275 Just nightwave for 150 creds, get two cat bps, and buy the other cat for 20 plat. Easy. Or just buy all of them with 60, which is fairly cheap. How on earth are they hard to get? There are many ways to get them, including sorties (assuming you have them but you totally should if you are mr5 and ready for sp) they are not super hard to get. If you really, REALLY wanted to go even further and just get like 18 cats, just farm for like 360 plat by getting and selling a decent r5 arcane or smth and buy that many. You can do that as early as post-heart of deimos.
@@Muchinoi you are not thinking as a new player who just hit mr5 ive been playing for a week now and im mr6 and ive only gotten 2 cats so far maybe a person with hundreds or thousands of hours of experience would know the way to have more than me by mr6 but thats not the point. Remember for a beginner even doing the nightwave quests it could be difficult since a lot of acts are still lock and u dont know how to do half of the stuff the quests ask
All kitguns (and I think zaws too) are unlocked at mr 3 and they are a lot better than ignis. I am surprised that you didn't mention this since its a complete game changer for this.
It's a lot of effort and would warrant a completely separate video to explain those. Also, from the content creators perspective it's best to leave as little room for error or else have people saying that the video is a scam because they didn't actually follow the video.
Actually, modular weapons can be accuired at Mr0. Unless that was changed in some update as far as i know. Also, Opticor Vandal and many other items require 0 Mastery.
1st off, I'm glad you didn't include helminth because it is actually locked behind mr6 and a lot of people don't know, also you can definitely get any kuva weapon after completing the star chart, you might just need a little help which the community would happily give
Honestly even without primed mods is still way harder than it seems to get at this point of the game. Arbitration, maxed mods, millions of credits and endo would be necessary, even getting onto focus tree is way harder w/o anyone to help. But thats why Warframe is known for having a great community, cause there will likely be someone who likes giving beginners a hand willing to help
I suggest new players grab the Ether reaper from the market. Any scythe stance at all + basic crit mods and the easily farmable heavy attack mods results in a weapon that can destroy steel path without a primer or any other weapon even equipped. This is the lowest MR weapon in the market with a base weapon type that can force slash AND has a crit of at least 20%. There are plenty of other forced-slash melees with better crit and base damage available through relics, but the reaper is essentially free and will work great for quite a while.
ngl, hope nobody is insane enough to go, let alone unlock, into steel path at MR5 the time investment that early on for this must be like extremely painful, considering you need a necramech and a functional-ish railjack for it
I maybe will do it, and only with a Frost or Frost Prime if I can get my hands on one. And once I have enough plat to gift the alt a regular Frost so I can switch to Frost whenever the game lets me the earliest. Yes I'll restart on a fresh account with the aim of doing the entire thing with just Frost, other frames will be only for helminth and MR. Eidolon hunting, Index, Steel Path, Archon Hunts, everything just with Frost/Prime. I'd say post-Duviri it's pretty easy considering in 5 Duviri runs and some resource farming, you can get the Syam, build it for heavy attack and basically cheese everything the game throws at you. The actual challenge is energy management and surviving as Frost, not so much the enemies themselves. Kitguns are also a huge help too. Secondary Sporelacer/Catchmoon, and Primary Tombfinger and you got something to carry your ass until you can get some incarnon weapons. And once you get pretty much any of them, it's truly game over for the enemies.
I dont think anyone at mr 5 has any reason to do steel path, there is a lot of other content that when they get through all that, they will definitely have more available to them for when they consider doing steel path, even the mastery points you stand to gain from completing it is miniscule compared to just leveling up frames and weapons which everyone can easily do without touching steel path
I knoooow this is an older video and unlikely that you gonna check on these comments. But let me say this right here, right now. This video is the key example of german perfection. The pronounciation - smooth. The explanation - Ment to be easy to understand. Step by step with only the important information the user currently needs. The thought in mind - Not everyone understands or knows what a long time player knows. At this point you transfer yourself in the mind of a new player. So far I checked up a big lot of your videos and as a "veteran" I have to say: These are top tier. Which is why, when I do explain stuff to newer players I recommend your videos If they want to re-check on the works or if they want smooth in-detailed explanations. And this goes for your english videos as well as your german ones. Keep it up mate. Weiter so!
Wow, thank you so much for the amazing compliment and your support ❤️ I kinda disagree with the concept of "german perfection" every time I am sitting in a delayed train or a vending machine is broken but I get what you mean xD I'm really happy you enjoy my content so much and thank you for recommending it further ❤️
@@redmonk3y064the rules are that the weapon needs to be available by the time you are at SP, it is necessary to do TNW for it cos you need the Zariman (as far as I know)
@@redarchived4224 ah fair enough, I barely remember whats required for sp anymore haha Nataruk was my first weapon for sp and it just shreds first and asks questions later
Rhino ironclad build you shown (that one never crossed my mind, good find!) + Zaw kripath with proper build and an exodia contagion. Yeah, it might be pricy, BUT it definetly can happen at mr2-mr3 I have helped my friend who is maybe currently mr5 or less and he got exoida contagion and he practically melted every enemy in levels 100+ easily. For steel path it may not one shot, BUT it will work and is definetly friendly if you got the plat, which currently sits around 60~ or so. The reason i say this is because trading is available above mr 2 for a reason. So i know your rules are different, but hey, it is what it is, if you can currently scratch up 60 plat from selling mods, etc. you could in theory mr2 steel path.
I haven't watched this yet but I'm just going to say rhino. It's easy as hell to buff roar to give over 100% damage boost and strength = more protection. Rhino just ignores enemies so long as you have things that scale and you unlock him early. You don't even need the prime version of him to do this either. Edit: He's also the warframe you use to farm credits on the index missions and he can easily survive level 100+ enemies with the starter cards. As long as your weapon can kill them you don't care. There is also nekros as well with his shadows of the dead build but that takes A LOT of formas to get working properly and you have to kill stuff before you get the damage reduction going making it harder to play.
MR 9 here. Yeah, I am NOT touching Steel Path for a looooong time, and for good reason. Specifically, because my best frame is a Nidus Prime and I lack good mods for it.
Nidus is excellent for SP survival and long duration missions, sadly that cant be said of short missions, so ur doing right. Get some more versatile frames while u play, no rush, maybe play with someone else too, get used to the survivability mechanics and you'll be fine with SP after some time.
1) I had no idea you were German (you have zero accent) 2) I had no idea that was the correct way to pronounce "panzer". (I also find it hilarious that was the most replayed part of the video)
I never really bothered with faction specific damage. In my mind I would rather be lazy and have one build good against everything than make 3 builds to dominate the enemy faction. To be fair, I can probably be lazy and keep a graneir ban on my weapon, but I would rather use the space for something else. Call me dumb, but this is how I like to play.
Bro, I get you. I already completed Steel Path Star Chart 'cause I have years playing, so going through it wasn't any problem but I also dislike the fact to make a build for every faction, I just make universal builds to deal with anything or go with weapons for different elements. Steel Path isn't any hard, really and offer some nice rewards if you want my advice to deal with it here are some tips: 1- First, build Nekros and slap Gloom in his kit, I swear you he was enough to get me through everything and get so many resources without having to go out of my way to farm for it, so is a time saver. (Revenant is good second, he can't die, that easy) 2-Have Cedo in your primary slot, not only is the best primer, also have Condition Overload effect build in, so is nice. 3-Build what ever melee and side gun you like, just give condition overload and crit build and everything melts if you prime with Cedo. 4-GROFIT.
Garuda is easier to get than Inaros, and can survive Steel Path unmodded, with any weapon available, thanks to infinite damage scaling; she also has infinite energy and health regeneration.
I am MR5. Just got there yesterday. I have spent a lot of time farming with my clan and randoms that have supplied me full of knowledge. If I could go back, I don’t think I’d be doing it this way. I’m getting super nice stuff but some of it is MR locked. Sure when I get to the point of using some stuff I’ll have a start on it, but it’s definitely power capping me by accident. I only have one Warframe and have maxed 10-12 weapons. I will have rhino when I wake up though so there’s that. But there’s no reason for me to taxi to the void to get resources for Wukong imo.
Erm...little logistical issue here...if you're claiming you can beat all of steel path just sitting at MR 5, but you need at least MR 8 to be able to unlock all of the Relays and therefore access to the entire star chart which you must fully clear in order to be able to access Steel Path in the first place...how exactly are you supposed to achieve that?
Awesome video! I think this video is by far more important than the vast majority of other videos for new players bc you are using low level mods and free stuff. That makes it doable for a lot more people. Great job sir!
I’d like to point this out to everyone - it’s possible to get everything this guy has at rank 5. It’s under the assumption that you are willing to sink 100 hours to grind as a rank 5. That means you waste 100 hours trying to do steelpath when you could invest that 100 hours into the rest of the game. Steelpath shouldn’t take more than 24 hours and you require more than that time to even “succeed” in that mode.
I fully agree. No MR5 player should worry about SP. The reason I focussed so hard on it here was simply to make a point. That SP is ridiculously easy as long as you know what you're doing
Great episode. Now would be great to make something for mr10 / mr15 with different approach / build(s) like spreading viral with beam weapon, than what with melee? Which frame ? Which other primer weapon ? etc...
use rhino the iron skin 3 sec invulnerability and shield gate=immortal no mods really needed for survivability beside some energy efficiency, any strength/armor mods are just bonuses for iron skin, you will still need strength mods only for roar, use piercing roar mod to take less damage to iron skin and make it last longer and reinforcing stomp to recharge iron skin(iron skin will take its high numbers value from the damage you take in those 3 seconds of invulnerability)
What about kitguns? The secondary catchmoon and the primary vermisplicer, or the secondary sporelacer can be amazing for steel path, and I don't think they have an MR requirement much. You need at least 1 pax charge though to have infinite ammo because of convenience. The secondary sporelacer in particular can be amazing against acolytes. In my start from scratch Frost "only" playthrough, I definitely will rely highly on kitguns. The Fulmin could be another excellent weapon for steel path only if the MR requirement wouldn't be 8. Also the new Duviri melees are definitely worth mentioning as they are very strong even with basic mods and you can technically get them from the very start of the game. 5 runs of normal duviri, and you can get yourself the Syam or the Azothane bp for Warframe usage. The Syam can do very good damage with the heat wave on heavy attacks if builded for it, and you have access to sacrificial steel so it shouldn't be much of a problem. The Azothane has a special move that it gives it so much combo counter in a short period of time, and you can use that to do a heavy attack with a high damage slash proc. Also, does anyone know that when can you switch your Warframe at the earliest? Because for the Frost run, I know I have to do either Duviri or Vor's Prize, and can't use Frost right away, so I will gift the account a Frost, I just want to know that when can you switch your Warframe. Do you have to complete Vor's Prize or do you just need to get the Arsenal segment up and running?
@@dogma32 My goal is do the entire game, including steel path with Frost only. So knowing when I can switch frames is paramount to maximize Frost usage and minimize other frame usage that's mandatory in the intro quests.
At which Mastery Rank did you start Steel Path?
11
Mr 9
I think I was 11/12
About to unlock it when my voidrig is done building, MR18 lol
MR 5 👀
Also I completed the Steel Chart last Month.
This is just my opinion I think at mr5 steel path should be the least of your worries.
i disagree
I agree
100% agree
Been playing since the beginning the story is the most important
I firmly Disagree
As a primer at MR 5, you could go for the Atomos. This weapon is mastery rank 5, works like the ignis, deals mainly heat damage which can be altered and 21% status chance.
Helminth isn’t available at Mr 5. Starts at Mr 8
*starts steel path*
HANS, GET ZE FLAMMENWERFER
11:27 New players get Clashing Forest as a reward for Venus Junction, so an MR5 player in Steel Path definitely has a staff stance by this point, unless they Endo'd for some weird reason.
Brother says stance mods are hard but expects full ranked galvanized and adaptation....
Yep.
He shows a endgame build and a build for new players
tbf you should already have grinded arbitrations before doing SP, wich should give you enough endo to get those. Stances are just a pain in general
Mr5 with adaptation? That was a nice dream to have. Unless bought they won't get it until they REALLY learn about the game
Don’t u need to do arbitration for that
If you don't have adaptation, Shock Absorbers can be an alternative choice, giving you 20% DR against impact puncture and slash damage with no ramp up requirement.
You can also use shock absorbers instead of gladiator aegis as you will get more DR this way.
videos like this are the reason I came back to warframe taking s very deep and complicated game and breaking it down to where any one comprehend it, that and the cross platform progression.
No primed mods, but rare set mods and adaptation lol
Didn’t even know the concept of steel path existed until MR 9.
SHOPPING LIST:
-Adaptation: Abitration drones
-Galvanised Mods: Arbitration shop
If you don't have Adaptation by the time you have all the galvanised mods you need, I'd recommend buying one as they are pretty cheap, unless you want to use arbitration as your endo farm.
-Vigor: Nightmare mode (Uranus-Sedna/Eris)
-Heavy caliber: Deimos orokin vaults (dragon keys)
-Gladiator/Vigilante sets: Plains of Eidolon bounties
-Carnis/Saxum/Jugulus sets/Weeping wounds: Cambion Drift bounties
Note that all 3 Deimos sets have a "carapace" mod, and the only difference is the set bonus, so use whatever one you want (or use two and replace vigor, if possible)
Don't forget to farm up your Panzer Vulpaphyla
-Thermite rounds: Final Spy vault (Uranus-Sedna + Kuva Fortress[higher chance, 2nd vault])
-Volcanic edge/Vicious Frost: FInal spy vault (Earth-Phobos)
-Virulent scourge: Corrupted Vor (Post-Sedna Void)
BUY ARCANE GRACE!!!!!
You'll even notice he uses Arcane grace himself at 6:02
Forgot to mention, how much is full Arcane Grace ? Aaaa yeah 😁

MR10 after 300h Playtime, didn't even knew at that Time that Steel Path exists.
Same
In my opinion, you can just use rhino at this point, for your warframe choice.
The bad news the overguard on Rhino really bad. His status immunity still viable but cannot outmatched his old ferrite rhino skin.
A truly amazing video.
Very cleverly reserched and presented.
I especially appreciate the explanation done in stages.

Aaaw thank you so much ❤️
I'm really happy you appreciate the vid 😉
Please help

Im mr15 and don't have the endo for this build... I doubt am mr5 player has the endo or credits to max out even two umbral mods
I'm mr16 and have no maxed out expensive mods (stuff like intensify or serration)
That's a 6 forma ignis wraith - I wouldn't call that noob friendly 😅
The 6th forma must've been a rewrite, his ignis is basically 5 and he only needs 5 because he has galvanized aptitude and galvanized chamber, if you use the regular mods instead and just leave a few underleveled its you can 2 or 3 forma it
Forma is really easy to get. Just open relics.
Forma is easy to get just join relic farm u could also get platinum from it my best advice instead of rushing in missions farm plat and reputation in open world 20k limit daily completing a good weapon build and frame build as starter wasn't a bad plan time consuming yes but it's a game base on progress u should enjoy it slowly it's better that way
6 forma takes 6 days to get. No "new" player is going to reach steel path in 6 days.
I'm mr5 rn and I have 8 formas
Link Health is now called Link Vitality. Link Armor is now called Link Fiber.

I'm currently MR17 and don't have it unlocked. But in my defense, I've been taking my time, I'm not in a rush to get my ass handed to me lol.
I just unlocked it at Mr16😭😭😭 and can’t kill anything with my strongest weapons so I’m basically Mr5 to them
This video appeals to so many players - arcades and primed mods are so irritating to see in every build so thank you so much for excluding them and recognising the more casual players
Aaaw glad you liked it ^^ Thank you for the lovely feedback ❤️
But it's true, even with a relatively low investment Build you can absolutely take on Steel Path ^^
ive been mr 16 for ages but i started steel path at like mr 15. once you get revenant and incarnon weapons its a matter of time tbh :D
Let's totally forget that we don't have any tanky ass frames except for rhino with terrible mods at low MR
Hildryn Prime works pretty good for me
I wont dispute the frames part but you can get pretty decent mods from orokin vaults on deimos
I am not sure someone at MR5 has this amount of Endo just around for these amounts of mods ... as an MR12 I don't have this much
I get this. But you could simply put most of these level 10 Mods on only level 7 or 8. In this case you save 75% of the upgrade cost while still having 70-80% of the effect. Should've maybe mentioned this in the video ;)

7:56 Ignis build (Ignis prime is shown but the build is compatible with normal Ignis as the author of the video states. Focused on status DOT)
11:27 Tipedo build (as primer)
14:35 Panzer Vulpaphyla build (for viral status)
15:42 Focus (Naramon, for power spike)

Still a heap of resources though, even beyond and far after mr5
you really expecting mr5 players having 10 rank mods maxed?
Well, if they are serious about SP then at least rank 8, yes. Steel Path without a full mod setup is not possible and if you want to do it then you gotta bring at least something to the table. That's how it is
Endo is easy to get, I don't see the issue
your dumb... LMAO just dumb.... no mr5 is doing this nor are they gonna grind out that much endo... most don't even know what Endo is silly
@@NickHunterwhere. People always say “just go to arena” but I do arena and at MOST, with a resource doubler, get maybe 500-700 endo per run. And the runs take a few minutes each since the enemies are so damn slow to spawn and find

I agree but I still have most of my expensive mods on rank 8-9 since it's the most bang for you're endo
10:43 Er... Kuva Nukor?
I know it's an MR13 weapon but kuva/tennet weapons bypass MR requirements anyway

Wow I just got my red crit broken war and my torid incarnon with the atomos incarnon before seeing this i love the TH-cam algorithm
Eh the hardest thing about galv aptitude would be the endo

@@lord-courageous7889 an in addition:Guide immediately invalidated due to adaptation; an Arbitration only dropped mod.... keep in mind that once you unlock steel path hat does NOT unlock arbitration these days... to unlock arbitration you will have needed to clear ALL nodes on the starchart which isn't needed for steel path and then farm it heavily as the dropchance is 2%... I also don't disagree with the choice but I think the creator forgot about some stuff low rank players might not have access to by the time they unlock Steel Path.

Thou why so many mods that are hard to get
Actually getting the mods is Easy if you don't get intimidated by Trading.

Weiter so!
Wow, thank you so much for the amazing compliment and your support ❤️
I kinda disagree with the concept of "german perfection" every time I am sitting in a delayed train or a vending machine is broken but I get what you mean xD
I'm really happy you enjoy my content so much and thank you for recommending it further ❤️
MR10 and unlocked SP last night sub 100 hours, had no issues with survival yet but I’m sure those issues are yet to come
Only MR10?
Lol I just unlocked all planets at MR 5, with just one warframe and f2p, no trades, 0 plat
Wouldn’t it also be worth using Nataruk? It is available at that point considering you need to do TNW to get steel path
Nataruk technically doesnt meet the rules of the challenge(iirc) but it is infinitely better than anything in this video if you build it well enough!
@@redmonk3y064the rules are that the weapon needs to be available by the time you are at SP, it is necessary to do TNW for it cos you need the Zariman (as far as I know)
@@redarchived4224 ah fair enough, I barely remember whats required for sp anymore haha
Nataruk was my first weapon for sp and it just shreds first and asks questions later
my questions is why ban primed mods only to use another item sold by baro??
Rhino ironclad build you shown (that one never crossed my mind, good find!) + Zaw kripath with proper build and an exodia contagion.
Yeah, it might be pricy, BUT it definetly can happen at mr2-mr3
I have helped my friend who is maybe currently mr5 or less and he got exoida contagion and he practically melted every enemy in levels 100+ easily.
Gaus armor stripping goes brrrrrrrrrr
If you've grinded so hard to reach SP by mr5 i think you're not an actual new player, just from my experience
Crap... He's on to us 😱 !!!
I need a video series (Best Loadout for Each Mastery Rank)
MR 9 here.
Yeah, I am NOT touching Steel Path for a looooong time, and for good reason. Specifically, because my best frame is a Nidus Prime and I lack good mods for it.
100%. Take your time playing the game, you're in the right mindset.
I’m also a MR 9. I’m looking for people to play with.🙏
Nidus is excellent for SP survival and long duration missions, sadly that cant be said of short missions, so ur doing right. Get some more versatile frames while u play, no rush, maybe play with someone else too, get used to the survivability mechanics and you'll be fine with SP after some time.
15:29 nah forget about steel path for a sec, how did you get your drifter to not look like a gremlin?
Haha xD I just tried around a bit with the different face options 😉
1) I had no idea you were German (you have zero accent)
2) I had no idea that was the correct way to pronounce "panzer".
And who might be wondering, no I have not started steel path. Just never bothered. To much work to reduce a grind by a bit.
Bro, I get you.
I already completed Steel Path Star Chart 'cause I have years playing, so going through it wasn't any problem but I also dislike the fact to make a build for every faction, I just make universal builds to deal with anything or go with weapons for different elements.
Steel Path isn't any hard, really and offer some nice rewards if you want my advice to deal with it here are some tips:
1- First, build Nekros and slap Gloom in his kit, I swear you he was enough to get me through everything and get so many resources without having to go out of my way to farm for it, so is a time saver. (Revenant is good second, he can't die, that easy)
2-Have Cedo in your primary slot, not only is the best primer, also have Condition Overload effect build in, so is nice.
3-Build what ever melee and side gun you like, just give condition overload and crit build and everything melts if you prime with Cedo.
4-GROFIT.
Garuda is easier to get than Inaros, and can survive Steel Path unmodded, with any weapon available, thanks to infinite damage scaling; she also has infinite energy and health regeneration.
nice vid ! finally a good guide for a low lvl. thx a lot for explaining the stuff!
Happy you liked it. Thank you for the lovely compliment ❤️
MR 20 because I could not figure for the life of how to realiably do on damage regular enemies
He's clickbating, and if the person is at mr5 there are far more things to worry about before even stepping foot in the steel path
@00Grimreaper00 but he clearly states not click bait at the start of the video /s
@@jofus19 which was a lie.... stupid
Which other primer weapon ? etc...
Did you forget you need to be MR8 to even visit Baro Ki'Teer? Hence, not possible at MR5
Only on that relay. You can visit him at any mastery rank if he’s on earth. I think Pluto and Eris relays are the only ones locked at mr8
I'd like to see you make more steel path builds
Great video as always MH!
Thank you ❤️
Glad you liked it ^^ And sure, I have a lot more SP Builds in the bank for y'all ;)
Kinda curious as to why you went for Tipedo as the primer when you mentioned in another video that Atomos is an extremely good option for a primer.
Love your Video bruh. I learn a lot of things and my gameplay in WF was from ZERO to HERO now. Thanks a lot.
I met most of the requirements that is said in this video and ventured into Steel path ... and lasted about 4 minutes
use rhino the iron skin 3 sec invulnerability and shield gate=immortal no mods really needed for survivability beside some energy efficiency, any strength/armor mods are just bonuses for iron skin, you will still need strength mods only for roar, use piercing roar mod to take less damage to iron skin and make it last longer and reinforcing stomp to recharge iron skin(iron skin will take its high numbers value from the damage you take in those 3 seconds of invulnerability)
movement is your friend. move faster=less damage (Or stealth/some kind of shield like Mesa/Zephyr to negate/ignore most damage)
Well, to get Frost at all you need to get to Ceres. As for the arsenal, you unlock that in Vors Prize.
@@dogma32 My goal is do the entire game, including steel path with Frost only.
So knowing when I can switch frames is paramount to maximize Frost usage and minimize other frame usage that's mandatory in the intro quests.
