He is too old to play himself at 18-19. The actor they chose was perfect: humble, relatable, and his acting was spot on, you could tell the kid wasn’t a newbie to acting. Jann playing himself sounds good on paper but his acting im willing to bet would’ve been mediocre at best which would ruin the immersion of the movie. That kid actor’s chemistry with David was one of the movie’s magical elements and I can’t picture the real inexperienced Jann doing the same.
He looks still so so young and if he shaved he'd look younger than the actor. And personally for me, that actor was one of the things o didn't like much about the movie.
@@ducedevlstear2471 He played the role of a video game nerd perfectly. He wasn’t pretentious and channeled an above average range. The scene where he finds out his crash caused a death and starts crying was great acting in my opinion. I really felt his pain and anguish, and his chemistry with the mechanic was super fluid.
@@nsnz33 again, I didn't like much that scene. He looked more angry than upset. I believe Jann is a different person than he was projected as. Another actor I disliked was his boss, that tall guy.
You are the future my friend. Accidents are life. You picked yourself up via the Gamer world. I should have been racing as I was the best in all aspects in my time compared to all. Yet my career went differently. Now you take it and go all the wayI didn't. The road never ends
I want to know who's the real Jack Salter! I don't think there's been a death at Le Mans for 20 years... so that could be an artistic liberty. But the character was amazing, I really want to know on who was it based on
This movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. I wish they would have dropped the girlfriend parts of the story and removed where he’s talking to himself in the car at different points. Also, his team DID finish 3rd at Le Mans, so why not keep it like that instead of them winning? You as the viewer still would have been excited to see his team reach the podium. Everyone makes movies these days thinking they need to end with the best possible outcome for the viewer to be satisfied though 🤷♂️
@@bwillyoufunny That’s my fault. I think I was somewhat sidetracked at the end and confused by Jack telling him that he was “the best in the world.” I was like wait, what? The best? I thought he got third? So that’s my fault for half ass paying attention for the last 5-10 minutes of the film. Sorry.
Imagine auditioning to play yourself in a movie and hearing.... yeah I don't think you really capture the essence of the character. You don't fit the role, thank you and good luck! 🤣😂😅
He could play a Lewis Hamilton character on a movie too
agree
He does look quite a bit like a younger Lewis Hamilton.
The voice is not far off either
honestly lol, their manner of speech is really similar like not accent just their voice in general
imagine auditioning to play yourself lol
hes a race car driver not an actor!
...and not get the part
most EPIC thing is being rejected to play yourself lmao
@@hankramos8663he did get the part tho😭
@@LIVEREGALhe didn’t get the part for himself
He gives me hamilton vibs tbh
Bethany Hamilton was the stuntwoman for her movie Soul Surfer
He could really play Lewis Hamilton tbh
Always cheered him on in Super GT, shame his full-time career has stopped since 2020 but I always appreciate an update
It was done on the movie soul surfer years ago where the person the biopic was based on was the stunt woman.
pretty good for a three figure movie
One of the most awesome movies ever
I can't stop looking at the hair but to each their on

Well, I take it you’ve never watched Tokyo Drift?
The movie was awesome!
Sir, we consider that your audition didnt make It to be you 😂
He looks like Lewis hamilton
This is why Studios need to STFU! I loved that young britt in the roll he's a good actor but wow I would have killed to see him in the roll
Damn the studio made the movie with only a couple hundred dollars???
couple hundred thousand
@@nokkianamore like $60m
@@jamellionaire12 damn, wasn't even that great. Glad they doubled their money
Not many sports athletes can act, of course we see Dave Bautista, John Cena, Carl Weathers, but acting is something that people should train for.

The title is misleading. He didn’t audition to stuntman. He auditioned to act.

They made up Jack Salter for the movie though he did have similar role models. Also the death wasn't at Le Mans in the movie.
Bro sounds exactly like lewis Hamilton 😅
Didn’t Ramona flowers do that in this Scott Pilgrim takes off anime. Crazy..
the perfect loop
yeah
Bro sounds like hamilton its just scary
He sounds live hamilton
He would make a good Lewis hamilton movie tho
Bro said 3 figures😂
Jackie chan has left the chat
Bro looks like Lewis Hamilton
That director's sick meh ,he's very cool with many cool movies. HE'S AN ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
The actor is an actor and the racer is a racer. Stay in your lanes, son.
Dude could play Lewis Hamilton easily
How ridiculous that he still needs to audition for being the stuntman of a character of himself.
He didn't audition to be the stuntman. He was already going to be the stuntman, but that was for the actual role.
Not the stuntman. You didn’t listen.
Ears? Do you have those? Use them.

They did place third. Look at the podium scene again. Middle team is first, to their right is second and our SIM team is third. They kept it accurate.
They didn’t win in the movie. N the last scene he beat out the gold car/rival for third. And they stood in the third place spot in the podium

@@tylerjennings8242I mean, he did say "one of the best in the world", not straight up the best lol
Eminem 8 mile, jk
Is this the person who is an actual racer
Yes, that's him.
Lol I’m sure they spent more than 3 figures on the movie. It was good tho
Did him and Audrey got together in real life?
*8 mile tho*
3 figures? That’s only 999 bucks that must be the cheapest film ever made
The acting in the movie was aweful anyways. Except from his race engineers part. Loved the rest of it tho.
