I just finished the dlc with a pure strength and now i gonna yhis build. It looks really fun
Awsome bud! Blast em
And now that the DLC is out we have Carian Sovereignty which does the most stance damage in the game. And a Carian Sorcery Sword that's a weapon that casts spells with strong attacks. Lot of good options. Not to mention Rellanas twin moon swords. Lots of good stuff.
Right! We got some really cool stuff to work with in the dlc
I'm using a couple more things in this build.
a large star with the ashes of war - dark waves. It is very helpful in destroying large enemy's
and second
misericorde with the ashes of war - a glint blade phalanx, 2-3 castes are enough to completely unbalance any enemy in the game, in this way you can endlessly use a crit attack
Optionally, in order to increase the damage from the ashes of war karian grandeur, it would be best to take a regular one-handed sword and apply this ashes of war to it. This combination will give more damage than the sword of a Karian knight
Heeeey you got the right idea! That’s what I do too. Magic infused misericorde is retàrded. I perfected my parrying skills just for that
I would recommend switching out Glintstone Pebble with Night Shard or Night Comet. Your enemies won't see it coming.
VERY TRUE good catch on that! Take notes on this one eveyone!
My Carian Knight build almost always ends up with the Dark Moon Greatsword at some point, but I still love the classic Carian sword sorceries.
My build is pretty similar overall, but staples for my build are usually Carian Slicer, Carian Piercer, Carian Greatsword / Adula’s Moonblade, Loretta’s Greatbow / Mastery, and Ranni’s Dark Moon for spells.
Weapon path usually goes Carian Knight’s Sword with Carian Grandeur, Carian Knight’s Shield with Carian Retaliation, Carian Glintstone Staff, and a dagger with Glintblade Phalanx for the poise break and high crit multiplier combo and then the Dark Moon Greatsword and Carian Regal Scepter once I get them.
Ah very nice, I like what ur going with. Something about the generic carian knight sword and shield really does it for me lol
@@CFreshGaming Yeah, there are a ton of better weapons to use Carian Grandeur on, but drip > meta. The Carian Knight armor with the sword and shield is peak for me.
In my Carian Knight build, I use Bull-Goat's Talisman-better yet, swap the greaves and gloves for something else-for 51+ poise. I like to avoid more interruptions to Carian Grandeur, Kamehamehazur, etc.
Ahh very true! It would be clutch not to be interrupted as much during grandeur, my next build will probably be the magic assassin wit moonveile most likely n I'll look to find a wit to hit that 51 poise, thank you for feedback!
I would totally swap the shield scholar shield and just embued thops barrier on the shield wich make parrying so easy and also completly plarry range magic attacks
Nice! Yea I really enjoy the parry in this game even know I'm not great at em haha
what stats do you recommand for this ?
First time playing Elden Ring and I am a huge fan of Spell Blade archetype, your video is perfect
Question, when you apply Carian Retaliation AoW, do you keep the shield as physical or magic? I noticed you lose a bit of physical guard when magic infused. Thank you in advance!
Hey bud glad you enjoyed, I would keep it as physical since we mainly use it as a perry machine lol if u find ur blocking alot of magic with it then swap
elden ring youtubers can never pronounce nun right😭
Bud I can barly pronounce anything in these games correctly lmfaooo
ash of war: carian grandeur on anything > carian knight sword
...Until your STR, DEX, and INT are all 50+.
@@LordTyrone1989no. Carian Grandier on anything gets a 2.4 multiplier on int infused sword Carian nights sword only gets a 1.8
But drip > min/maxing
The Carian Knight set with the sword and shield using Carian Grandeur and Carian Retaliation is peak for me
@@jorleejack Maaan I be so broken between those two. So I leveled up both my swords so I can switch between them. Drip man when figuring trash mobs and effective man? When battling bosses and tough enemies lol.
@@LordTyrone1989 Or you could save the 80-100 levels and just slap CG on a Lordsworn Straight Sword or Longsword for more damage. I don't think there is a weapon that isn't viable when pumping 150 levels of stats into it.
Hey buddy. The lordsworns straight sword with Carian Grandier Ash of War is better. It gets a 2.4 multiplier on an int infused sword as opposed to a 1.8 on the Carian knights sword . And I personally use an int infused misericorde with glint blade phalanx on it for insane damage on critical riposte since I’m good with parries on the magic infused Carian shield which of course has Carian retaliation. Idk if you know this but if you hit the enemy at the very end as they are about to get up, you can break their stance again if you already did it. So sometimes I summon magic glintblade (ash of war has insane poise damage and can stance break enemies in two charges) let them take damage, then parry their attack, resposte, switch to my sword and time my Grandier so by the time they are standing back up, I rebreak their stance. It’s crazy fun. I keep my staff and shield in my off hand and my sword and misericorde in my main hand. And when I really don’t care to have crazy crits, i switch to cold on misericorde and abuse the cold debuff to amplify my Grandier. Especially when standing in the magic circle when battling big slow bosses like the fire giant. I set up glint blade phalanxes on bosses and by the time they get to me, they get slapped by my magic glint blades and are already stance broken before they even hit me. So much fun. I love the Carian Knight. You have great taste. I been playing Carian Knight for a while now. Named mine ParryinKnight lol
What lvl was this character at?
I’m doing a similar build I’m at 147 - first play through. Playing on a steam deck oled. Currently on the mountain top of giants.
Vigor- 50
Mind and endurance at 25
Strength- 18 aiming at 20 to use the jelly fish shield
Dex at 25
Intelligence at 60
Faith -14 (started as a confessor)
Arcane 9
Swords using Carian, moonviel; dark moon great sword- tempted in using wings of astel
Staff Carian glintstone staff
Which somber staff should I use?
Thinking of pumping up my character due to not playing pvp-
@@JesusGarcia-ry2ky ahh very nice that sounds like a solid build, the wing of Estelle is a really good time and would complement more of a magic base build perfectly, for the staff idn of the top of my head but regle scepter is such a fun one to use, I think my next build will be the magic shanobie using that moonveil soo much fun :)
@@CFreshGaming I’m just trying to make sure the weapons I have compliment the enemy I’m fighting. Tankier one dark moon great sword, quicker guy moonviel, wing of astel vs a dragon, Carian greatsword ash does great on a dragon.
