For those of us with 800+ hours into the game - its videos like this that make new runs fresh and feel like we are still accomplishing something new.
For sure man 👊 my goal is replay-ability and I recommend you try my level 1 one shot challenge linked as well. That is a blast
Yeah but the sad part, that in order to reach this knowledge in the first place, you need around 800+ hours, so don't feel about yourself , he just played the game probably as much as everyone else in the first place to figure all these out, it's basic stuff when you find design exploits in games which you play many many hours... it is unavoidable to find these.
They are good, for new players though, because as new player you can just watch a video like this and rush into some build and that's it.

If you go in my channel and go back to March you will see the one shot challenge and world first elden beast one shot, I had about 25 hours of Elden Ring logged. If you know what you’re doing in terms of being efficient in your research it doesn’t take that much time man.

If anyone wonders why Flame of the Redmane isn't staggering bosses like in the video, it's because its stance damage got nerfed into the ground in patch 1.08. Thank you From Software!

Was having this same issue. Build works but the stagger isn’t as commonplace.

Titus, thank you ever so much! I wanted to build a new character for the upcoming DLC, since my main is lvl 250 and on journey 3. This guide took me around 3 hours to complete, from start to finish. I started as a Wretch (for the early game bonks), but spec'd my character similar to yours and am loving the results. My first playthrough of the game was as a battlemage. Going back to my roots with an even more OP build is such a blast.

I did a Sword of Night and Flame run with the Carian Knight Sword for backup, but fell in love with Grandeur so much I started a fresh run built around it. One of my top 3 favorite builds easy!

For people following along with this video make sure you have at least 1400 runes when you go to the round table so you can buy the dagger and sabre. As someone that's new to the game I got here and had to leave to collect some runes. And then realize he also made a full walkthrough video also and switch to that one. Ugh noobiness is unbecoming. Great video!

Yeah it you're not some type of spell blade in elden ring you just ain't having fun. My build consists of the blasphemous blade, rivers of blood. Flame grant me strength. High poise. High health. I'm not doing a ton of damage. But a ng plus 3 lvl 200 is still a breeze. Haven't figured out how to min max right, but I love the game

holy shit I knew about killing the sleeping dragon for alot of runes early game, but had no fucking clue that if you rest fast enough he respawns lol. almost 300hrs of playtime and I'm still learning tricks. Elden Ring better get game of the year 🙃

@@stevenbailey8478 No there is not but i can recommend going for the monveil katana as a follow up. Up to you if you do it cause the carian abilitie is very fun to use but moonveil does massive damage
Magic scorpion charm, +10% when full hp, kill alexander, kill a fantom in roundtable hold to get his robe for another 1,12*1,10*1,10*1,08 ~ 1,46
So for another 46% dmg boost. You may change it to moonveil or to wing of astel, instead of godfrey's icon go for smthn else. Like go for white mask, seppuku offhand, blood talisman and red tearstone ring, but in this game, and that shield for 5% when hp is low. For another 1,10*1,20*1,20*1,05~1,66 = 66% dmg buff.
If you feel like swapping, farming for blood boluse then you may buff much more up to a oneshot. But it's really difficult..

While everyone was jumping off cliffs (I was too) I actually liked the dragon rune farm better... no dying and slashing at air for 3 minutes...

@Lucifer Nihilum when I 1st started the game u was only suppose to talk to Melina 1 time to get the horse when you get to the dragon you touch grace to have cp if you had round table as fast travel dragon would be gone once killed

@@larrymoses9529 I have been one shotting every boss in the game since the original dark souls over a decade ago. There are 20 different weapons I could use to one shot every boss in the game, I don't know what you are on about.. The Misericorde? the Rapier, or the Carian Grandeur ash of war? Flame of the redmanes? It doesn't matter anyways, nobody is forcing you to play with any of these things. You can feel free to play with no weapon and punch stuff to death, it's an RPG go play how you want and let everyone else to the same.
this is so funny to watch now since i equipped carian grandeur on the rapier cause i thought it was cool to use a rapier to summon a gigantic sword and use rock sling to get stagger spell early instead of having to get carian phalanx ash of war. this video wants me to try and stick with carian grandeur since it is very epic. thanks

This is definitely the best early game strategie video on TH-cam im at level 36 and I dont believe I've even beat a boss yet just wondering and taking out big enemies definitely no bosses mabey some cave bosses but its all fun. I generally play one game for a long time so this will be a fun adventure hopefully there will be dlc to keep us busy ill play through this for years if possible

Absolutely love your guides man, this will be the fourth one I've followed. Unfortunately I'm not seeing damage anywhere close to this. Followed your steps exactly, and even farmed runes until I was able to get 60 INT. I'm seeing about half or a little less damage wise. I'm sure I didn't miss anything.. I'm buffing properly, have the same stats and upgraded weapon, and even a little more INT.

Great job on the guides. My first build was your level 1 build unfortunately due to the patch I wasn’t able to get the level 7 somber stone but made it through to the big gold guy who keeps kicking my but. I am on my 5 th build now but this is my favorite.

great video , im not one for going all over the map getting op but different horses for different courses plus with my autism which makes game very hard although not nearly as hard as other from soft games i just couldnt do some stuff which requires qick timing to get these things ive finished game twice

For anyone struggling with the Crystalians in the Academy Crystal Cave post Flame of the Redmanes nerf, you can grab Prayerful Strike Ash of War on your way to the Sealed Tunnel, it drops off the invisible scarab in the water just slightly north of the tunnel. You'll need a hammer or axe to put it on, I used the morning star you get on the road to Castle Morne, it's just north of the merchant. Two hits with Prayerful Strike was enough to stagger them, and from there it was easy.
He says that the flame ash stuns.... It does not... At all... And damage does not add like it does in the video... So either something was patched or I am doing something wrong....
@@diclo383 they did nerf Flame of the Redmanes after this video, so it will not work as he presents it here. But you can use Prayerful Strike as a work around against the Crystalians. Once you have your build, and if you want to be able to stagger enemies and follow up with a critical hit from the rapier, you can use Glintblade Phalanx. Two uses of the skill should be able to stagger enemies allowing a critical follow up from the rapier. But you'll need to defeat Godrick 1st and then talk to Rogier at the Roundtable Hold. He'll give you his rapier as a reward and it has the Glintblade Phalanx on it. Then you just take it off and put it on your rapier instead.

A suggestion at 2:25, if you pick up the torch that repels beasts, it makes getting this talisman much easier. The rats won't attack you!

@@L0-C01 Beast-Repellent Torch, sold by the Isolated merchant in dragonbarrow. Works against the large dogs (without red eyes), rats, and wolves. You can hold it in your offhand even while 2 handing your main weapon, such as a bow. Helpful for this talisman, as well as those madness rats if you want to clear the madness tower. works in dungeons too, like the rats in the tunnels where you get the golden scarab.

@@L0-C01 There's also the torch that shows you the invisible enemies in the town you have to light 4 beacons to get into haligtree.
