I have a fluke voltage pen, can I use that? Can I do it while attached to the car?

The wire harness needs to be installed in order to test it. Is your Voltage pen for 12V DC ?

Would have been nice if you took the time tell us in the comment section the model number of that circuit tester. Just spent the past 15 minutes searching for that on the internet and still haven't found it.

You can use any LED circuit tester.
